The eggplant parm was rancid. The Calzone was raw in the middle. And the 2-servers were reluctant(at best). When my guest went to counter to let them know about her raw calzone their response was, «Would you like a box so you can cook it more at home?» They do not wait on the tables in there and it’s very clear they are not working for tips. If you have to go there, just don’t tip before you eat. I’ve always thought Borrillo’s was a tourist trap, and now I know it is! I doubt, very seriously, if any locals eat in there… My guest said it best, food and service are 50⁄50 when you go out to eat. THISEXPERIENCEWASONEOFTHEWORST I’VEHADIN M Y10-YRSLIVINGINST. Solid NY style thin crust slices. Nothing fancy, just a nice slice in a no frills, clean space. Soon there will be a beer garden outdoor seating area with a live band, and that will be a nice thing! Looking forward to enjoying a slice and a beer at night. Good luck!

Had lunch at Borrillo’s Pizza the other day. It was really good to get a little bit away from the craziness of Downtown St. Aug, plus Borrillo’s has parking, which was really great. Ordered a 16″ pie, tasted amazing. Would definitely return the next time in the area.

Nothing but good things to say about this place. Pizza is awesome, staff was very friendly, and service was fast. I can see why the locals love it. Looks like they’re going to be opening up a beer garden soon, can’t wait to try that out. Definitely recommend!

Small little hole in the wall pizza place just minutes from down town st Augustine. Found it while we were on a walk visiting the city. Cashier was very friendly. We got a cheese steak sandwhich per her recommendation — a slice of cheese and a slice of veggie pizza. The cheesesteak was decent it had a lot of flavor your typical pizza shop cheese steak. Would more than likely order it again. The geese pizza was New York style and very yummy! Huge slice. The veggie pizza wasn’t my favorite it was just cheese pizza with veggies put on top and then heated up. Maybe they ran out? Not sure. Would prob eat here again. Very crowded at the time and very loud. Lots of kids.

Oh my, please re-consider if you are venturing out to Borrillo’s Pizza & Subs. The ‘waitstaff’ was incredibly incompetent. We asked for water no less than four times. Our four orders came out at three different times. The last one to arrive was a single slice of cheese pizza. Really, 20 minutes for one slice?. When it was time to go I asked for a pizza box to go three times. This is place is SMALL yet the waitress was unable to remember our request for said box on the journey from our table to the front counter. I went to the counter and asked again. Then again 5 minutes later as I watched her sip her water. And finally again, stating, please hand me the to go box and I will box it myself. As far as the food, it was fine. Definitely not exceptional. With so many restaurants to enjoy in the area, do yourself a favor and visit a restaurant that cares about its customers.

this pizza place was recommended by the receptionist at the motel we were staying at while visiting Saint Augustine. Of course, I checked it out on Unilocal first. My husband is a Pizza snob, and he absolutely loved this pizza. wE ordered take-out and delivery was free as long as we spent over $ 18 the pizza was hot, they also brought plastic cutlery, napkins and paper plates, which was great as we were in a motel room and had no utensil. I will absolutely recommend this pizza! Delicious!

Upon entering, I was a little skeptical based upon the appearance, but decided not to judge a book by it’s cover as I have had some really great food from places that at first glance looked questionable. But once again, on my quest to find the best pizza around, the pizza didn’t have enough sauce. The crust has a nice sweetness to it and was assembled well, but overall the pizza was just ok.

Good pizza, place was crazy busy on a Saturday night. Took a bit for the pizza for carry out about 35 minutes. There is only one guy in the kitchen. Worth the wait pizza and meatballs were tasty!

Unfortunately ridiculous. After 20 minutes hadn’t even started our pizza by the slice. Only good thing was our refund included our beers… from the manager sitting on his behind!

We ordered a small pepperoni pizza and it was huge. Not the best pizza we have had but good and better than chain restaurant pizza. Place was small but clean and staff was pleasant

I’ve been to several Italian restaurants throughout Florida and out of state as well and nothing compares to Borrillo’s! I have been eating here for over 7 years, even after moving away, I come back her multiple times a year. I was saddened when I found out on a recent visit that they no longer have any eggplant items on their menu! They had the BEST eggplant! I loved their eggplant hot sub, eggplant parmigiana & eggplant pizza! Their pizza is really delicious too. I eagerly await for them to add eggplant back to their menu again!!! Relaxed atmosphere & ideal location.

This place is so yummy! Came here with a few friends off a whim… we just saw it while driving and stopped. We got two Philly cheese steaks, a jumbo calzone and meatball sandwich, and got garlic knots to start. R was delicious and you should definitely stop here if you’re in St.Augustine. It’s a nice hole in the walk place.

Not much seating but a good local pizza & sandwich place. Service is always good and the food is fresh and tasty.

Reviewing carry-out pizza only, have never eaten in there, or anything else. Pizza currently best in town IMHO, closest we have found to the real deal in Italy, most days has a killer crust. Do it the Italian way, order it with only one or two toppings and taste the crust! Margarita with fresh basil and no Ricotta is the best. Joint is very small and bare bones, staff always very friendly.

Good food! Place is very small so grab your seat first before ordering at the counter.

I hate to give a bad review to a locally owned place, but in this instance its really deserved. Firstly, I dont care how much you proclaim you are a NY pizzeria and how many neon signs you have on your windows, if the only basil on your pizza margherita comes dried out of a shaker then you are doing it wrong. Its not that hard to source nor that expensive to buy fresh whole leaf basil. Secondly, the meatball app isnt made in house. Frozen meatballs with sauce poured over the top. Thirdly when I ordered at the counter for a meal and there was a tip jar, then I expect service in return for said tip. Like checking to see if I need drink refills and such especially when the restaurant isnt that busy. I guess they will do alright with the tourists who stumble into the place, but as a family who just relocated to St Augustine we will never be back in again.

I was swayed to come here because of the Unilocal ratings. Wrong! This place only has 9 tables, so if you come at the wrong time, you’ll stand. It seems it’s an owner-run business. The husband and wife run the place. The service is slow. People that cane way after us got items we ordered before us. The pizza I got didn’t have all the ingredients I ordered. It got busy and the owners were running around like nuts. I don’t live in town, but if I did, I wouldn’t come back. The only reason I give it two stars, was because the pizza was ok.

We stopped in since it was pretty close to our hotel and had some lunch. We wanted cheap and fast. That is what we got. The pizza was good. I was set on a slice of the more premium pizza but the pizza-by-the-slice was listed on the sandwich board near the counter. Sadly, the premium pizza was not on it. They do have the typical pepperoni, cheese, etc. The pizza rolls were good. The slices are fairly big too. Overall a decent pizza at a decent price.

Went back, docked a star. I must’ve ordered the brunette topping because there was hair on my pizza. Pizza was overdone and kinda dry. Inconsistent experience and food quality.
