A cozy little mountain town coffee shop. Friendly staff and quality coffee, tea, and some home made bake goods.

Always amazing food and lattes! They usually have homemade quiche, cookies, bread, etc. Saturdays have more brunch options than normal, like biscuits and gravy, French toast… They also have milk alternatives, like almond, soy, and I believe coconut milk as well. They serve counter culture coffee exclusively. They typically have at least one or 2 gluten free options and vegan options for the food as well.

The absolutely best coffee shop in the High Country. ALWAYS order the English muffin toast with butter and jam if they’re offering it. Very friendly and kind owners. The ambiance is perfect. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I wish I could visit every day.

I was very excited to find Spruce Pine had an adorable coffee joint added to its downtown! The pumpkin spice latte was proudly made by one of the gentlemen working and he assured me I wouldn’t be disappointed. It was delicious! In addition to the great coffee, the atmosphere is inviting and cozy with antique touches. A most try if you are looking for a wonderful coffee and homemade pastries!

Really nice place! They had made a pumpkin spice syrup that they had just perfected so I had a Pumpkin spice latte that was better than Starbucks in my opinion. We also had a sausage, kale and feta quiche that was delicious.

This place is absolutely amazing! We are new to the area and after pulling them up on Unilocal,I knew I had to venture over and check them out. I was not disappointed! I was SO beyond excited to find they offered almond milk as a substitute and my kids were able to enjoy a healthy snack(hummus and non-gmo blue corn chips) while they played in the little kids area they had set up. This place is ridiculously kid/family friendly but large enough if you work remote and need space for your laptop etc that you don’t have to be right next to playing little ones. Their foods is delish and they even had a gluten-free cookie option for my kiddo who can’t eat gluten. I have to say, in such a small town I would have NEVER expected to find a place serving such high quality coffee and food. Please stop by and support this small business! You won’t be sorry.

Awesome coffee and service! Got a cold brew which was an Ethiopian. Friends got pour over which was a Kenyan and a double shot of espresso. Pastries were also delicious. We all liked the ginger molasses cookie.

Go here! This is a real find! The owners are truly passionate about coffee and lovingly craft every drink and menu item. The pour overs are super. They have a great selection of Counter Culture’s best. If ginger molasses cookies are available buy 10!

We were on a quick day trip to Spruce Pine and stopped at Fox and the Fig for coffee after lunch. They made a delicious iced mocha and seriously the best corn muffin with butter and jam I’ve ever had. The owners were so nice and you can feel the love put into every detail. I will be back every time I’m in the area.

What a great place! The owners here are so nice! Family run, the husband was prepping food and his wife was slinging lattes and handling the register with her beautiful baby girl on her hip. Had my first Sweet Green Matcha Latte here and loved it! It’s like a giant baby bottle for grown ups! Half way through and it’s nap time! Awesome baked goods — quiche with local pork and kale only $ 3 and a local salad with strawberries and feta, again only $ 3. You could easily have a light lunch for under $ 10 here. Impressed with the genuine care behind their products and services!

This is a wonderful little gem in Spruce Pine the serves Counter Culture coffee, great queshes, salads, and pastries. We were up for the weekend from Greensboro and wish that we had a coffee shop like this in town. We will be back the next time we are in Spruce Pine.
