I purchased a new $ 7000 split unit from SMA in August of 2012. In addition I joined the service«club» that provided winter and summer service on the two units in the house. In February my tenant called complaining of no heat. SMA visited and found the t-stat had failed and needed to be replaced. They install a new t-stat that would only operate heat OR cold and never both. When I moved in I called about the ‘failed’ AC unit and they told me it wasn’t failed but they installed a t-stat that would only operate hot or cold. I asked how could you do that AND bill me for«service»? They blamed the tenant and told me the service club did not include older units, they had no responsibility for the installation and that I was being unreasonable. In 18 plus years of owning my own business I have never blamed the customer. They were rude and begrudgingly came to «fix» the system after 8 days of no AC. The owner, who came to my house, told me it is time to cut ties. DONOT work with this company unless you want to just accept whatever they want to do and say. They cannot accept any criticism or stand behind their service

I’m in Springfield, visiting my Mom for the holidays. The furnace stopped working and it got pretty cold. I found Spring Mountain Air doing a search online, and I saw they had an A+ BBB rating, so I used their online form, and they responded quickly, and sent out the on-call tech, Brian. He got here, identified the problem in minutes and the furnace is working great. Very friendly, great service.
