Hudson Hawk Barber & Shop

This is by far the best barber I have ever seen. Shelby is amazing. Her cut and wash are great, but she is just a genuinely nice person too and makes you feel completely comfortable… Wonderful experience.

I always get a great hair cut, and it is always a great friendly environment! I recommend this place to all of my friends!

Scheduled apt online for 11:30. Received the confirmation email of my 11:30 apt. Showed up ten minutes early for my confirmed 11:30 apt and found out that I was bumped to 12. The personnel decided to book someone else at my confirmed time. When I was in store I was invited to wait around 45 minutes for my new (unconfirmed) apt. Nothing else could be done – thanks a lot.

They are great my son has used them for two years. Thad is one of the best barbers we have used and we will continue to use them. If you want a great haircut at a great price at an old fashioned laid back style barber shop definitely go here

GOOD HAIRCUT, STUPID PRICING
Pretty good job done. My barber is only 1 in 2 that has ever used a bit of imagination when I told her «you choose what looks good» when asked how I wanted it cut. I don’t know hair. And there is such a vast amount of different styles. So she done well. Just wasn’t good at talking shop it seems, but neither am I. And she washed my hair afterwards to get out the loose hair. Oh, and she didn’t let me see myself in the mirror until after she was finished; not important, just different. And she put a hot towel on my face while washing my hair.
What struck me negatively was their pricing. $ 20 I’m okay with. But then they ask for a tip on top of their premium pricing. And $ 25 for a shave. Shaves take less time and possibly cost less in materials. Want to emulate the goodness of old time barber shops? Keep doing a good job and offer honest prices.
So, the experience was okay. They used good products. And most importantly, she done a good job with my hair.
Will I go there again? Only when I need the utmost from my appearance.

I went in for a beard trim and part way through asked if Sam had time for a haircut. He gladly made it happen and I’m thrilled with the results.
After growing my beard for a year I was nervous about letting a stranger trim it but Sam listened to what I was looking for and continued to communicate about each step.
I’ll be back for the next trim.

Hudson and Hawk boasts a modern yet rustic approach to a time honored profession. The barbers are very approachable and equally as knowledgeable as old-​school barber’s. The customer service I received in getting a cut/​fade was nothing less than extraordinary. Overall I would recommend this barbershop to any one looking for a quality haircut and great customer service.

I met Thad when he was going through the Academy and learning how to do all this. One cut with him, and hearing about his plans for a barbershop, I kept my eyes out for this place to open and made it my main stop.
From the knowledgable staff to the services like the shoeshines, to the nice selection of products for hair and skin alike, this is a good stop for men savvy in wanting to step up their haircut game. Competitive rates with top notch quality.
I always schedule a cut here when I’m back in town, and it is well worth the cost.

I’m giving this place 3 stars for the atmosphere alone. that was about the only appealing aspect of my visit. The barber seemed distracted, and wasn’t very friendly. He barely spoke. The haircut was average at best, but I’ve had better haircuts at other places in town that don’t charge as much. if its atmosphere you’re looking for, this is your place. if you want a friendly barber and a good haircut, you might want to go elsewhere.

I was in Springfield on vacation and looked up barber shops in the area and came across this place, and so glad I did. My barber was Dylan and he did a great job. If you’re in the area looking for a cut this is the place to go. Great barbers and great atmosphere

I was very impressed, Rupert cut my hair. I was nervous at first going to a new barber for the first time but he put me at ease and did a fantastic job. I will definitely be going back.

With the resurgence of the classic haircut, barber shops have increased in popularity and frequency here in Springfield. While you might get a similar cut somewhere else, you most certainly won’t get the atmosphere, service and straight up man-​points that come with a style from the Hudson Hawk people. Jordan specifically cuts my hair at the Downtown location and he does an amazing job while cracking jokes the whole time and keeping that awkward «I’ve never met you before but here, touch my head and I’ll pay you» feeling away. The hot shaving cream and the straight razor trim is top notch and let’s you know this ain’t no supercuts. If you’re lucky, or just ask for it, you get a hot towel on your face while they wash out your hair.
I always leave feeling relaxed and feeling sharp.
Overall, I’ll probably get my hair cut here ’til I die… or just lose my hair. Whichever comes first. Either way, they’ve got my business locked down!

We were in town for a basketball tournament and my 16 and 12 year old were SCRAGGILY. Found HH through Unilocal and it was voted the «best barber shop ever» by the boys. The only downside is that this joint is in Springfield and not our home :)

Where do I start? This place is amazing. This is the image of what an old school barbershop blended with modern style should be like. Everything from the chain saws on the shelves, the pictures of great men such as Teddy Roosevelt hung on the walls, and the taxidermied game make this a barbershop that screams of manliness.
The barbers do a great job blending classic style with modern edge. Walk-in’s are always welcome, humor is always flowing, and for those days you need your shoes shined and beard shaved they’ve got you covered.
You won’t regret getting your hair cut here.
