Absolutely one of the worse Chinese buffets I have ever tried. First of all the food had no flavor and secondly I saw one of the workers on her cell phone mind you go around swiping food that had falling onto the counter back into each appropriate tray. YUCK!!! If my mom ever suggest we go there again, she will be going alone.

Absolutely disgusting! I went to this place for a Chinese buffet to honor my late father’s love for Chinese buffets and it was the WORST. I found a hair, yes a HAIR wrapped in the mongolian beef. Absolutely disgusting. I will never speak highly of this place. If there was a no star option, this place would definitely deserve one. I don’t write reviews, but this was enough. Stay far away.

Very happy and surprised! I had sworn off ever going to Chinese/Asian Buffets again for the rest of my life because of the last several I have ate at were quite terrible.!! But tonight I was craving Asian food and could not decide what I was really hungry for so I decided that I would try the food here just this once. I am glad I did! I probably tried just about every thing on the buffet right down to the sushi. The sushi was good. I even tried the eel sushi(which I usually do not like) and it had good taste and texture. For the rest of the menu. My favorite thing was the bbq short ribs. It had lots of meat and great flavor. Next was the Mongolian broccoli and beef, coconut shrimp, Orange chicken, crab legs, chicken and mushrooms and the chow mein. The rest was good too though. Lastly I had to try the desserts. The selection was good. I tried the fruit first. The red bananas were good. Both of the tapioca And rice puddings were good. Leche fruit and pineapple salad, tasty. The cookie and cake samples were YUM. And just for my ice cream loving husband I got a small tasting of the ice cream. The chocolate my favorite. Oh my a I full but I will say that it was worth it. Good dinner. Thank you.

If you enjoy a wide variety of Chinese food, this is the place. We come here periodically to satiate my need for Chinese and it seems to me there must have been some improvements. The signage out front has changed and it is now called the ‘New China Sun Buffet’. The food has improved dramatically and has increased in variety. At one point I almost felt like a hobbit when I found a tray of freshly sauteed mushrooms! In the past one would have to hunt for the few mushrooms available. There was a huge variety of food available like a coconut chicken with a creamy sauce, mongolian beef that was extraordinarily tender, orange chicken with a nice amount of heat and flavor. The chow mein was excellent as was the fried rice. The different foods are too numerous to mention here, but suffice it to say they have it covered from fish to chicken to beef dishes as well as stuff for the kids including french fries and toasted garlic bread. Unfortunately, I tried to sample so much that I didn’t make it to the dessert section. The service is perfectly adequate. They find you a table and start you off with a drink, then you grab a plate and off you go. There is also a chef available for those who wish to select their own fresh meats and veggies to create their own stir fry. The service has improved and the variety and quality of the food has also improved. This is the New China Sun Buffet! And for a chinese food addict like myself, I’m a happy camper! I would expect the rating to improve now that they have improved the food.

The raw side is pretty good. Plenty of fresh meats and seafood you take up to be cooked on the grill with choice of sauces. Things I don’t like … Bussers mixing as severs. I don’t like seeing the person buss tables next to me then bring me my tea cup handling the area I drink from. The rest rooms are ALWAYSDIRTY!!! Filthy dirty.

Note to self: when you immediately get that feeling that you have made a terrible mistake and that you should not sit down to eat somewhere, you are right! Your higher self knows. Cons: Horrible, horrible food. Greasy beyond all reason. Stale; even the Jello was hard as cubes of soft rubber. Some items that I normally like were truly revolting. Who puts cumin in egg foo yung? Filthy walls smeared with shameful things. Entire place smells like cigarette smoke and bad fish. My fellow humans, brothers and sisters, please, I beg of you, if tempted by the foul dragon, of «how bad can it be?» follow your natural flight response and turn away before you make the same colossal mistake I made. Run. Run! Pros: Free mints and toothpicks to chisel the taste from your mouth.

Not very tasty. Nothing had any good flavor. The sweet and sour sauce was extremely tangy with a hint of cranberry. Every thing I selected on my plate turned out to be cold. The cream puff I tried end up being a banana cream puff. I’m allergic to bananas! and Yes! I did have an allergic reaction which turned dinner into a date with my epi pen. The comments say this is also a Mongolian Grill. If this is considered Mongolian by the owner, the owner needs to go back to Mongolian Restaurant Campus College and be retrained in the art of Mongolian Cuisine. I have nothing good to say about this restaurant. After we were finished eating we waited about 20 — 30 minutes for our waitress to appear so that we could ask for our bill. The second and final time we seen our waitress was when she hand us our bill 15 minutes later. Don’t waste your money or your time! You will end up paying about the same price at other places that have 100% better food quality AND customer service.

I’ve been here often and while not every dish is stellar many are. Just had about the best Mongolian beef I’ve ever had and the spring rolls were awesome. For the money this is usually pretty great. Try the fresh grill stuff… very good.

The food here is great for a buffet. I like having choices and the food is usually fresh. I like that I can have a little sushi and get food cooked fresh at the grill. This is a nice option to come with a bunch of people who like different things and you don’t have to wait on anyone to decide. Large selection to choose from !

Quality has gone WAAAAAY down hill. Overall, the place was filthy… the bathroom floor has grime built up everywhere. Food was either cold or tasteless. Flies all over the salad bar and raw meat section. I will never go back!

If you are vegan stay away. Only way you are going to get vegetables here is to pick them out of meat dishes.

Okay. I’m a serious foodie raised by a master chef and I have to be honest by saying this restaurant is s guilty pleasure of mine. I see negative reviews and I’m a critic as well, but our experience has always been great! Hot food, plenty of crab and meats for the grill. And bottom line, our kids love it. We live all over the world and our little boys ask to eat here! I love the grilled lamb and coconut shrimp… Yes it’s hot mayo and I love it!!! It gives me my dim sum fix when walnut prawns are so far away! My fav place is Jade Gardens in Seattle. So enjoy. Don’t be a jerk. A buffet is a buffet, and this one is great. They actually use chicken breast vs dark so that shows u something! This is our experience and we will go back over and over… Happy kids happy parents!!!

3.5 stars Typical Chinese American buffet food. It satisfies my hunger and my chinese food craving. I recommend the bbq/grill where you get the raw food and bring t over to the cook. The cook fries it for you in less than five minutes. The house made sushi was decent as well. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste of the sushi. There were many food options including chinese and American food. There was also a salad and fruit bar, along with dessert. However, the desserts looked unappealing and old, so I did not try it. Additionally, I was thinking of getting some chocolate pudding but then a cook comes over with a huge can of chocolate pudding and carelessly dumps it in the container. That repelled me from trying the chocolate pudding. Their fruit was alright some were canned some were fresh. The watermelon was very sweet and fresh. Overall, the food was good not great.

We have been solid customers of CSB even before they went by this name, for about five years now. The quality of the food and customer service have declined over the course of the past couple years. The crab legs which used to be their selling point are an issue as well, as they don’t seem to want to fill the bin with their most non-cost-effective attraction, which the customer has to request(or else they leave the bin empty), and the help are probably told to give reluctant or exasperated looks to discourage the customer(s). But this last visit there, which was Friday night, will be our last there. The waitress never came around again to take away the used dishes, not once. She stood around wringing her hands, doing nothing, by the buffet the whole time. We had to ask for the crabs. She showed reluctance, but eventually the bin came about 1⁄3 full with very scrawny pieces. The crab cracking-devices were nowhere to be found. The chicken didn’t taste fresh at all, couldn’t eat it. I had to go and get my own pot of tea. There was a mop that was leaning on a table behind ours, which nobody took away. When I complained about the poor customer service(or non-existent customer service), the lady behind the register said that the waitress was probably busy. This was an insult inasmuch as the place was empty and the waitress was sitting and watching us the whole time with a strange look. Perhaps something was the matter with her, but that is not a customer’s concern. All in all we paid almost $ 50 for a party of four for a mediocre dinner(at the very best) coupled with a forlorn waitress who never came around(and just sat and stared, wringing her wrists for some strange reason), a rather sad atmosphere with a dirty mop that stood leaning on the table behind us, and a lying cash register person who didn’t seem to care very much about disgruntled customers(the couple ahead of us were also disgruntled, and we talked about the place outside when we left). It is a shame as we used to enjoy the place when it was still in the throes of caring about what they were doing. Now it seems like it was all just a bait-and-switch. We aren’t going back, and I do not recommend customers to go and waste their money.

We picked up food to go after work… The worst Chinese food we have ever had! Chicken was more tempura than chicken, noodles were rubbery. Couldn’t eat it. Will never eat here again!

If you like Chinese food, this is the place for you! Lots of variety, American salads, lots of Chinese choices commonly seen on menus. Only complaint is the food is not usually hot, adequately warm, but not hot.

Chinese American buffet. Check. Yep, that’s what it is and they do it well. Had decent sushi bar and seafood selection as well. Will be going there again to fulfill my buffet desires.

Worst experience in an asian restaurant We asked for the dinner price to go. The sales clerk pointed at the board that said dinner: $ 4.99. I asked if seafood was included, and she said just a little bit more… we brought 2 dishes with some seafood… and a lot if nin seafood. She wanted to charge us $ 9.00 per pound!!! We said this is not what you told us, She screammed at us that she said ut was a litttle bit mire and that is it we need to pay… that is 80% more than the price… so 2 small dishes was going to be around $ 45.00 when the buffet all you can eat is $ 9…so it could feed almost 5 people… also i said that the restaurant should have the listed price… how do i know that was the true proce? She continued screamibg at us… that is abuse, bad customer service… do not recommend Terrible experiencia!

I’ve lived in this area for a little over a year, but my love of chinese has driven me to try a few different places. When I first got here, this place was a decent buffet. You got what you payed for and it was typical chinese buffet fare. I’ve watched this place slide downward and it’s really to the point where it’s gross. I don’t know what happened and I’m disappointed. We don’t eat here anymore. The food just sits in the warming tables because of how few customers there are and it gets even more gross. When you go to pay, odds are that the staff are playing with their phones and not even attentive to someone giving them money for their service. The only friendly person in the joint is the guy who does the mongolian bbq grill thing. He’s the only spot of light in and otherwise dark and dead restaurant. The only reason I give this place 2 stars is because it used to be better. I wouldn’t feed this food to my dog.

I used to frequent this restaurant at least once a week when my daughter and I lived in the apartments across the street. The food was fresh, good, and the menu(though fairly predictable) rotated depending on the time of day and day of the week. We made friends with the sushi chef(who thought my daughter was darling and made her special plates!) and loved the staff! Each time we go back, things seem to change for the worse. First it was raising the prices, which is understandable– almost $ 12 a person now. Then it was kitschy crap at the payment counter. Then it was charging two bucks for drinks that used to be included. They have since lowered the drinks to a buck-fifty, but changed the kids’ menu age ranges from 6 – 12 to 11. Just weird little things like this. I loved that they had punch cards. I found a couple at the bottom of my purse and hey! Freebie! Of course we had to go pay ‘em a visit. We arrived and the feel was different. The cashier asked us how many and how old my daughter is, then finished her transaction and walked away. A waitress came and asked us the same and took us to our tables. The lighting in the restaurant seemed dimmer than I remembered. Everything was clean and well-maintained, no rips in the seating or anything though. The food was fine. The sushi was very basic– tuna, salmon, eel, Cali roll, about what you would expect to find– nothing new and interesting. The pieces were small and the fish was cut very thin. I noticed that the food wasn’t heaping on the buffet table as it was in visits past, which hopefully would mean that they were cooking less more often, but it sure didn’t taste that way. Unfortunately the fried items in sauces tasted stale and soggy. The fried food tasted frozen/prefab and seemed over-fried. The meat was tough or dry. I noticed they have switched to cheaper ingredients, a lot more«crab» than other fish. The crab legs have also gotten very thin and tiny– seems like they used to be king crab legs, now they are Dungeoness’s little cousin. maybe a rock crab, is that a thing? Midget crabs? Little crabs? What is the politically correct term? Desserts and ice cream were run-of-the-mill, salad bar was basic. I never do the Mongolian Grill. it was all kinda«meh.» I was very disappointed at the end when we went to pay that they are using new punch cards and now hand-write expiration dates on them. The cashier unceremoniously tore up my freebie and tried to give me a new punch card expiring next November– not even a year to fill a punch card and get a freebie? Not going to honor already-filled punch cards? Lame. We paid and left, refusing the new punch card. Man– even if the food was generic, at least the incentive program used to be cool. Have to wonder what kind of financial trouble they’re in to not care about upsetting customers just to save a couple of bucks. In the long run, you always lose– there are places just as mediocre that want my business more and will up the ante on customer service, if not food quality.
