My husband and I were craving some serious carbs after our trip to the gym! We spent almost two hours there. It was definitely time to eat. So we debated what was nearby and open, given it was almost 11pm. He suggested Burger King. I had no idea what time they close, so using the magic of Google to find a phone number, I called. The woman who answered was cheerful and sweet. She told me they were open until midnight. Which surprised me, so I commented on it. She then informed me that the lobby had closed at 10, so just the drive-thru was open. Cool. It was a short conversation, less than 20 seconds, but quite informative. We arrive there and the same woman greeted us at the drive-thru. She was once again very cheerful, patient and sweet. My husband ordered his meal and then mine. He didn’t listen to me when I told him I wanted my sandwich without tomatoes and extra pickles. So he had to amend my order. She was totally fine with this, didn’t act like it was an inconvenience or anything because he had forgotten the specifics of mine. When we arrived at the window, she confirmed that we wanted both Cokes for the soda, and only one without ice, because I had ordered mine without it. I appreciated that she took the time to ask if it was just one soda or both we wanted without ice before she poured them. That is called attention to detail. She didn’t assume anything. The wait time wasn’t bad, less than 5 minutes. We did have to wait for the French fries and chicken fries to be made fresh. I had no problem with this. In fact, I prefer they are made to order. When she handed us our order she told us that both these items were just pulled from the fryer, so they were hot and to be careful. The food we took home to eat, and it was delicious. I’m not big on fast food these days, but this was yummy. Everything was fresh and hot, cooked to order, so it wasn’t cold before we made it home. We don’t do fast food often, but when we do, we like something different every so often, so we end up at Burger King. This is definitely a location that I’ll go back to.
