JAX Burger, Fries & Shakes

Great burger served fresh and hot. The restaurant was nice and cold on a hot and humid spring day. The service was great and everything was super clean. Great eating experience!

Wanted to try this place out for a while. Asked for my burger to be cooked medium and it came out well done. I wish I would’ve gone to Wendy’s and spent half the price.

I gave these guys 5 stars because there are really no legitimate reasons go lower, I guess. Sometimes good, sometimes great burgers — often dependent on how hungry I am. I’ve never had a bad meal here and I’ve eaten everything on the menu at least once. Not a fan of the garlic fries. I gave them a try after a review here and its just way too much garlic.

Bacon jalapeño cheeseburger and buffalo fries were awesome! I was craving a juicy burger! My burger was so juicy, it was dropping. A huge mound of crispy lettuce, bacon, sweet tomatoes and delicious bun really brought it all together.
Staff was super friendly. Love the low key vibe!
I will certainly be back!

Yesterday was the 2^nd time my husband and I came to Jax. I was contemplating Red Robin, but my heart told me Jax is where we should go. So we went, and everything was absolutely wonderful AGAIN– from the service to the burgers and BUFFALO FRIES! Jax, you have eliminated my Red Robin want. You have earned the spot as our burger place! Love love love you!

Giving this place a full 5 stars because I didn’t notice any flaw in their food or restaurant. Two burgers, 2 fries and 2 drinks will set you back $ 27 that was our lunch. You get a massive burger and self serve drink station. The burgers were massive just make sure you have plenty of napkins

Their burgers are great! However I can’t same the same for the staff. I ordered a kids meal and never get my sons milkshake. When I went to ask for it they treated me like I was trying to get something I didn’t pay for. She could have apologized when I showed her my receipt.

Good little spot in north houston /​spring for burgers. I had the Baja chicken; which comes with bacon, cheese, jalapeños, mayo, lettuce and tomato. The bacon was crips, and with the kick of jalapeños it complements the chicken burger. The only recommendation would to add Applewood smoked bacon for the little extra bam to it.

I would have been better off going to water burger. Flavor was poor at best. The chili and cheese on my french fries was flavorless and runny. The burger had no flavor. Every customer that came in behind me had an employee stop by their table to ask them how their food tasted. No one came to my table
My first impression seems to of been correct. I was rather disappointed.

So we get here at 7:47 with the family for a quick bite. They close at 8. The cashier asks if we are getting it to go, because otherwise we have to eat outside. I say really? She tells me they’ve already cleaned the main dining room and so we can only get it to go or eat outside. Nothing infuriates me more than us being denied being able to eat inside the restaurant although they let us order food. Probably the last time we will ever come here.

The burgers are average so many people hype it up as the best burgers in Texas I was kinda let down when I took my first bite and the garlic fries had no crunch to them the service was nice and the food came out hot this is way I’m giving it three stars

I’ll give this place 2 stars because the restaurant wasn’t dirty and the burgers are really big! However, what I really didn’t like was that they do not have a variety of cheeses! Really?! not even cheddar? They do have bleu cheese though which I LOVE, but did not get a chance to enjoy. Why? Because when I asked the lady who took my order if they had any other cheese besides American, she said no. So I was pretty pissed when I later found out that they had bleu cheese. Yea it was my fault for not reading every single description on the menu, but when I ask you a question, you should be able to answer it correctly. Other than that, the burger was nothing spectacular. I got just a regular hamburger, but my fiancé got a cheeseburger with mushrooms and bacon added. He didn’t think it was anything special either, and they added tiny little onions onto his burger, which he did not ask for. Finally, we got the chili cheese fries to share… Worse chili cheese fries I’ve had. The chili tasted like it was Wolf Brand chili from the grocery store.
All in all, probably would not go back… I’ve had way better.

This place is the bomb! I’m a burger junky and this is definitely one of my hot spots. A bit pricy but well worth it. I come here at least once a week!

Tried this place today after I left Splashtown. I had a cheeseburger with jalapenos, fries and a drink, my son had a kids burger, fries, and drink.
My burger tasted like the meat was seasoned, and the jalapenos added to the great flavor of the burger. The fries were good, but I did not think that they gave me that many for the $ 2 charge (my son had more fires with his kids meal). We both liked the food. but the price was a little high in my book. The total was $ 19 and some change, for a kids meal, and a burger/​fries and drink for me.

So today was my first visit and I only stopped by for dessert but next time I’ll have to come earlier for breakfast, although they serve breakfast all day, or lunch they are reasonably priced and the staff was very friendly.
I had the white chocolate raspberry cupcake and it was soooo good. I didn’t eat it right away cause it was in the cold case and I prefer them room temp. It has a raspberry filling that was not too creamy and not too sweet. I’ll def be back.

Worst burger ever! It is so salty! The burger was so salty and had no taste but salt! My meat was dry dry dry… no juice. And the garlic fries had a burnt oil taste with salt!‘wth. This pace is not a four star place… don’t be fooled by the Unilocal reviews. I’m so over houston-​spring Unilocalers… wth

Pretty darned good burger. I got the Guac burger and hub got a plain cheese burger. They were both tasty meat patties and the buns were soft egg buns. Condiments on them were right on. The fries were kind of bleh because they were droopy. I got the buffalo fries and I think they steamed in the sauce before they were served. Too bad. The O-​rings were way better than the fries. I liked them a great deal. They seem to be house made, and that is always a plus for us. Lastly, the shake was thick and tasted of real strawberries. YUM.
You order at the counter but they will bring the food out to you, so that is nice. The dining room is very bare bones, but nice enough for your afternoon burger grab, especially if you just left SplashTown or Old Town Spring. Service was friendly enough too.
This location is very convenient to the local attractions and just off 45 so you can stop by if you’re tearing through. Good joint.

Good burgers with melt in your mouth shakes… um, i guess that’s what they do anyway.
Clean everywhere I went, fresh buns and toppings and did i mention the shakes?

Shakes are great.
Burgers are freshly made and have that «home cooked» feel and style to them. Juicy and extremely hot when they comes out. Cajun fries are good, you better love garlic if you get garlic fries. I enjoy supporting small business vs. Chains and will come back.
