If you find yourself traveling west towards Grand Haven, this place is a must stop on your way there or on your way back! It is located directly across from Vander Mill Spring Lake. Kelly and Luke are two of the nicest, fun people I have met in the beer industry. You can tell they love their brewery and just want to share it with everyone they come in contact with. Their space is full of Dutch culture and great beer. Keeping true to traditional styles of beer, they are pretty spot on with their creations. Right now they don’t do anything too crazy with random flavors, so don’t expect something completely off the wall, except delicious refreshing well made beer. Something that does catch people off guard is that they don’t have a kitchen. However this is CHANGING and a kitchen is set to open next week with a full menu for lunch and dinner. I will have to stop back in there to check out the food to update my review on that aspect. If you can’t make the drive out to the Spring Lake area, be sure to keep an eye out for their beers around town because it is worth seeking it out!

I really liked this brewery, very warm and welcoming(please note the warm, since it was FREEZING outside), went to a few other breweries as well and froze in most of them. Staff is all very friendly and helpful, great overall atmosphere!

We visited Dutch Girl on a trip this last summer in the area. It is a really cool place and staff was very friendly and informative. Their beers were great and they are very willing to do a tasting flight of their beers. They pretty much had a beer for every taste and style. It is right across the street from Vandermill and I would definitely suggest visiting both. Dutch Girl is new but they obviously did their homework before they opened. If you like beer(come on who doesn’t) I would definitely suggest stopping in to Dutch Girl for a beer… or several particularly their tasting flights.

All beers served(4 in the sampler) were flat and overly malty. The ambience was just ok. We went on a Friday and were 2 of only 4 patrons. Also, they were playing loud country music which was not pleasurable. Save your time and go to Vander Mill across the street or Oddside Ale for better beverages.

We came in after lunch across the street at Vandermill with our two young boys. The owner greeted us and gave us the lowdown on the brand new brewery. For a brand new brewery they had a very impressive selection of beers available. We got a flight of four samples and were pleased with what we had. For being five weeks old, they are making good things that will only get better. Plenty of space and a bright clean feel to it. And the brew area has a ton of space to expand into. Should end up being an excellent spot.

Life, it is literally all we have, but is it any good? I’m Julie Reincke, and I review things. Dutch Girl Brewery… 4 stars.
