Great little Mexican restaurant. The food appears and tastes fresh. The staff is friendly. I definitely recommend it if you are looking for some Mexican food.

Excellent service, prompt seating, friendly staff. I came in hungry and our food was delivered hot and fast. Definitely recommend this place. Large seating area so don’t be fooled by small crowd.

I’ve read a lot of the reviews here and I don’t get it. The meal I had was excellent. Great chips, great salsa, great food, period. It is true, the place was pretty much empty. Our service was great too. I’m going there again tonite so check my next review to see if it’s still as great as it was 3 months ago.

This is our go to Mexican in the Hill. Week nights when no one wants to cook. Never have I had a bad dish or bad service. They also remember their guest and I appreciate that!

Really disappointed in this place. Went on a Saturday night and there were maybe 5 tables of people including us which wasnt a good sign but we gave it a chance. Started off with the chips and salsa which tasted very off like the oil was bad that fried the chips and the salsa was bland. Ordered drinks and the water served tasted awful. Also got a frozen lemonade and it was very watered down to where you could barely taste any lemons at all. The main meals we ordered were served as small portions, we got a very small burrito dish and the hard shell tacos were soggy. Skipped dessert since we had enough. I dont think we would give this place a second chance since theres so many other Mexican restaurants in Spring Hill

If all restaurants are packed or closed I might consider going to McDonalds before heading here. I’m a huge fan of Mexican dishes, any and all. However to me this place reeks of microwaveable food for above Kroger prices. The rice and beans are tasteless yet leave a freezer burn-like after taste. Any chicken dish has tasted like pork and vice versa leading me to believe they improperly prepare, store or cook the food. The salsa is bland reminding me of tomato sauce with a diced bell pepper in it. Even the chips were stale and bland tasting. I’ve tried this restaurant three times for lunch once and dinner twice, each time leaving me unsatisfied and wanting more. There is an upside to this place, it is always empty. No lines, no wait and unfortunately, poorly cooked food. The food is inexpensive but why bother paying for trash when you can spend 2 more dollars and have an epic meal.

My husband and I have been coming here for dinner once a week ever since they opened. The food is excellent and always made fresh. They have a variety of vegetarian meals on the menu, which most places do not. The servers are prompt and curtious. Even the chips and salsa are great. We have tried all of the other Mexican restaurants, and was not impressed with their food at all! Even the Mexican restaurant right behind them was subpar ! We will always go to Don Arturo’s!

Subpar service and subpar food. The menu is enormous which is a dead giveaway(usually) that the food is not fresh. The chips tasted almost store bought(they very well might have been) and the salsa wasn’t very impressive either. The tortillas were cold along with the steak(I got tacos de carne asada). The rice and beans were clearly microwaved — or cooked improperly. The flan wasn’t bad. Avoid this place and go to the Mexican restaurant right behind it.

Service was ok. Food took a long time to get to table. Food was not cooked properly. Would not come here again.

Food quality is terrible. Whatever the white dip is supposed to be is unrecognizable and unappetizing. Who messes up rice and beans? The salsa has a slight aftertaste of cinnamon. It’s just bizarre. The entrees are subpar as well. Don’t go.

Bad food and service. I will not be back. I should have know when I walked in on a Friday night and there were about 4 tables seated that most already knew what I was about to experience.

This is our FAVORITE Mexican restaurant! Always excellent food and excellent service! The staff is very polite and helpful. The service is quick. We usually get the Vegetable Fajitas and love them. The menu is a little tough to read due to the color red of the font, I think. We usually eat here one to two times a week and we always love it. We have only had very positive experiences at this restaurant!

Great food at a great price. $ 2.99 house margaritas when we went, and they were potent, not watered down. My only complaint is that the menu is too hard to read.

Second time I’ve eaten here and the food is consistently quite good and authentic. The décor is nothing to write home about. The staff is really polite and attentive and a restaurant that serves Chilaquiles is going to be my favorite.

I’m not much of a food critic, nor a good service critic, but I must say that for a restaurant that’s not that busy on a Friday night, the food and service were bad enough to comment on. Usually I only give good reviews because I rarely have a bad dining experience, but I’ll be shocked if this place is open in six months from now. Spring Hill has much better Mexican restaurants. Save your time and money and visit Tito’s, Pancho’s or Acapulco’s before coming here.

Def. get your money’s worth! Portions are huge! Plenty to eat! My only complaint is the menu is too large and has mixed and match foods that shouldn’t go together. Like chicken, shrimp, cheese quesadilla and buffalo hot wings. Def. enjoyed the fajitas though! Food has a lot of flavor!

The food is great, the service is great and incredibly friendly/polite… the food is wonderful and the jumbo Margarita is … well«jumbo!». :)

Holy crap. This little place tucked into an old strip center is the absolute best Mexican food I’ve had in Middle Tennessee. They’ve been open maybe a month; I discovered them this week, and have already been twice. They are absolutely worth the drive from Franklin and Cool Springs. I am happy that work brings me down to this area regularly, but I’d seriously consider making the drive from Nashville even if that were to change. It’s that good. The first time I went I ordered the Arroz Texano, sans cheese. It was a delicious assortment of meats, broccoli, cactus, Spanish rice, and an expertly fried egg. My colleague ordered the Camarones a Diavolo, and we of course offered each other a taste. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, so fresh and full of flavor as well as the heat one would expect from the title. It was a sanguine symphony of smoke, spice, savory and sear; if you can’t tell, I LOVED the dish and wished I’d ordered it myself! The second time I took my wife. I ordered the Fajitas Molcajetes, my wife went for the more«Mexican-by-the-numbers» fare they have, ordering a crunchy taco, burrito, and enchilada. She thoroughly enjoyed them all, but commented on the taco shell in particular. I’m pretty sure the corn tortillas are hand-made on site, as I ordered them for my fajitas and was equally impressed. Speaking of my fajitas, they were supposed to be for one, but could have easily served two. If I remember correctly, it was chorizo, shrimp, steak, chicken, cactus, broccoli, peppers, and onions. Once again, all were seasoned, full of flavor, and cooked by someone who obviously knew what they were doing. The chips and salsa were phenomenal both times I was there, although I could have had a little more heat. My wife thought it was completely perfect. They also served the chips and salsa with some sort of white dip; it could have been some form of ranch, or a cream based dip. I only tried a small bite, not wanting to potentially eat too much dairy, but once again, my wife found it to be quite good. The price point at Don Arturo’s is well below what you’d pay at Sopapilla’s or Rosepepper(as is their rent, I’m sure), and I’d say the food quality is as good, even if Don Arturo’s sopapillas aren’t the soft pillows one gets at Sopapillas. Who goes to Mexican restaurants for dessert anyways? The only reason I subtract a star is they haven’t yet gotten their liquor license. It’s not really their fault, the state ABC isn’t always the quickest of government entities. They do at least have Dos Equis Amber on tap and like their menu, reasonably priced. As soon as I get to taste the potentially epic margaritas I’ve imagined them making, they’re a five-star for Middle Tennessee. In short, if you ever find yourself in the area and wanting lunch or dinner, give them a try. Make sure to order something off the house specialties and prepare yourself to be thoroughly impressed. Oh and did I forget to mention they have a great covered patio???
