Great steaks, and good service. I think they should offer more of a fish selection though. Salmon and Herpes with fins(Tilapia) just don’t cut it for a good steakhouse. They should offer Rainbow Trout, Flounder, and/or what about some of our wonderful gulf Grouper? The place seems clean, but the peanut shell fragments and dust everywhere make it difficult to tell. The staff are friendly and seem eager to please. Ice cold beer and great steaks is what bring us back here time after time.

Just moving into the area been to Cody about 9 times with 4 being Carry out. The times we dinned in the food was perfect may each time I had steak and it was cooked perfect great taste. The interior may be a little bit outdated but clean.

Had a bad experience at Codys. Waited over 20 mins for refills, along with poor selection of meat. Definitely won’t be visiting this location again.

This Restaurant has now lost a very good and loyal customer, his family and friends. For years they’ve provided great hostesses and waitresses, good managers(Andy) and consistently properly cooked and great tasting, reasonably priced food. They’ve always made us feel welcome and appreciated as customers. Likewise, we were always courteous and appreciative towards them. That is, until Thursday evening January 7,2016 when we experienced our very first food problem, and the manager Andy in no way attempted to «make it right» which left us feeling unappreciated as customers. Briefly, on that date they needed three attempts on my New York Strip until I said to cancel it and I’d just get a hamburger. My dad’s Rib-Eye steak needed to be sent back as well but when it came back it was fine. We didn’t get to eat together but didn’t let that detract from our family time together. The waitress Ami was Great. I asked her if the manager Andy was aware of our actual experience that evening and our waitress said that he indeed was. We thought for sure he would come over to say something –HEDIDN’T. So I asked Ami to get him to come over. He had a chance to turn these loyal and reasonable customers around but did NOTHING. Essentially, all that he said was that he’d hope we would give him another chance soon for a better experience.(He was his usual friendly courteous and smiling self but took no effective management action whatsoever) Since my Dad has always thoroughly enjoyed the establishment we went back the next night, Friday, January 8, 2016. We also went again because we couldn’t reconcile Andy’s previously great management style with the shabby treatment we received from him on the prior night. We thought for reasons unbeknownst to us, perhaps the night before must have been a «fluke» and we’d give Cody’s another chance. Ami was our waitress again.(We tipped her generously on both nights AND she deserved it). Manager Andy saw us and saw us even closer when he stopped over at the table next to us to interact with the guests and to make sure they’d enjoy their experience. ANDYSAWUS-IGNOREDUS-ANDMISSEDHISSECONDCHANCE to act like and treat us as if he truly appreciated our business. What a shame. In 2 nights Cody’s undid all of the hard work we’ve observed over several years there. ANDY’s actions compelled us to make a decision to never come back. We would have always in the past rated our overall experiences in the 9 range, which shows how fond we were of the place. After the two previous nights, however, when things went wrong and we had to send food back for our first time, there was a breakdown in the manager’s process for dealing with a challenge and instead conveyed a feeling that Cody’s takes the customer for granted and doesn’t truly appreciate them. BUT I HAVE A RULE– Don’t patronize a restaurant if they don’t show their appreciation for you as a customer AND don’t treat you with proper respect and fairness. Thanks, Brad

Love this place. Friendly atmosphere & good food. They have a special for just about every day of the week. Great for kids, too.

A few weeks ago my sister and I came for lunch. Gina was our server and the experience was excellent. Tonight we came with the whole family(party of 10). Nina treated us like we were bothering her. She was rude and very inattentive. The appetizer came to the table without dishes. They expected 10 people to eat out of one plate. The unsweetened iced teas arrived and she never asked if we wanted sweetner. We did. We finally caught her again to ask. Then we waited so long that our ice was melting in the glass. My sister just got up and got us the sweetner herself. The childrens’ meals came out absolutely last. So, I had to attend to my children’s meals while mine got cold. The fries were stale, anyway. The worst was when Nina brought the drinks to the table. She clearly can’t carry a tray and serve. So instead of putting the tray down(there were enough empty tables), she called out the drinks and made us reach up to her to get it from her. My brother in law got my father’s drink because she put an iced tea spoon in a soda. After my BIL tasted the drink he said it wasn’t his. Nina was content with letting my father drink out of it next. She didn’t even offer to replace it! Terrible service. Dry, stale food. Everything was awful. Don’t go here. There are other places that treat families well. The manager Lou seems OK with this inept level of service. 2 stars is generous.

I was pleased when I walked in because they were very accommodating about the table. The the waitress was very pleasant. We ordered our meals there were six of us. not one was correct. The cheese on their cheeseburgers wasn’t melted, the mashed potatoes were cold and after all that the manager didn’t make any adjustment on our bill. I left half of my cold potatoes in the plate. The medium well burger was medium with pink inside. Never again will we go back there. We had to request butter twice. Also had to ask for ajus cover twice. But the Codys in Crystal River and Ocala are great.

Visiting family and friends for a long weekend, six of us went to Cody’s after an afternoon of kayaking, at about 3:30 p.m. The restaurant part was not overly busy, but the bar area was, because of 2 for 1 drinks and sports on the televisions. Out of all of us, no orders came to the table correctly. 3 cheeseburgers that came without cheese, and came with sweet potato fries instead of the regular fries that were ordered. Our waitress, Cheyanne, took them back to the kitchen and returned them ten minutes later, cold, with a cold piece of cheese slapped on them, and the same sweet potato fries. Cheeseburger 4 came to the table when everyone else was almost through eating, but at least it was hot. The guys who ate them said they were just average tasting. Two of us ordered an early bird special of prime rib with a side. When they came to the table, the mashed potatoes were already cold and the prime rib was hard to cut, even with a steak knife. It was very thinly sliced and was totally unseasoned. This was one of our worst restaurant experiences. I certainly do not recommend this place to anyone.

Food was great. Went to Outback the night before and the steak here destroyed it. Nice house salad they make with a great small Town atmosphere. Nothing amazing but definitely a good spot in this area.

I wasn’t sure what to expect here and was wondering if it was a Texas Roadhouse knockoff catering to the early bird retiree crowd. I have to say it may not quite be TXR but I was impressed. They have all the peanuts in the shell you can eat and you just throw em on the floor as you pig out. They also keep bringing baskets of fresh yeast rolls with lots of regular and cinnamon butter. If you get an entrée you also get a giant bowl of salad that’s apparently refillable and served with icy chilled plates. One weird quirk is they serve the salad with a creamy mayo based dressing by default without warning and don’t have any other dressings, just oil and vinegar. The half rack of ribs lunch was better than expected and was tender and lean with lots of meat and a spicy BBQ sauce. The baked potato was pretty good but a little«well done» and I was so full I could only take a few bites. We had a coupon for this giant fishbowl of ice cream and brownie, it was excellent but we were so full we only tried a little. If you want this, skip dinner first. This place is worth a try for a cheap and enjoyable meal with very friendly service. I liked it enough I even bought a shirt and one needs to open near DC soon.

The worst experience ever! The only thing that was good was the ribs, the chicken and the onions/mushrooms and the bread. Even the peanuts were old. The service was slow and horrible. If they do not fire that Manager, it will never change. The Cody’s in Tampa are the best. I did noticed that ever since another owner bought them, the restaurant had been declining in general. This Manager was the same one that was here 4 years ago, when we had an issue and still the same. I rather go to Texas Road House, than here. It sucks!

I have to say four simply because the service was phenomenal except for who ever is in charge of heating tortillas for the fajitas needs to not bring out tortillas that are so stale they’re like soft corn chips. my phone was good and over all I really enjoyed myself.

Good food and good staff! I always sit at the bar and am waited on quickly and greeted promptly. I’ve been there a few times and always order steak. It’s always perfectly done the way I want it and it never needs any sauce. Beer is nice and cold, and everyone there has always been friendly. Lisa always seems to be the bartender when I arrive, and she is great at her job! I never have an empty glass with her around!

Great restaurant. Food was tasty and seasoned well. We went on Monday so kids ate free and drinks were 2 for price of 1.

Food is usually good!!! However, train the teeny bopper hostesses a little better! They need to be Friendlier… not act annoyed or stressed out!

Very cozy. Tentative. Very professional yet friendly. Well liked by the locals(as in the servers) Had to be the best customer service I’ve seen in quite some time. Looked like they enjoyed their job. Smiles all around the area. Good food, steak wasn’t the best but was good. Salad was done right in front of you. So that’s a plus Baked potato was slightly burnt. Also the price was good. And the overall ambience was welcoming . Most definitely a place to go to just unwind and socialize

Had the Porterhouse pork chop which is what I almost always get. Tonight the chop was very tough. Service however was excellent. Julia was my server and she was extremely attentive.

Just our luck! Visiting from Atlanta with my 2 sons and their friend and 3 neice and nephew. Yeah lots of kids and happend to be that mon and tues kids eat free. Place reminds me of Texas road house with peanut shell all over the floor. Also since it was kids eat free night they had 2 people walking around making balloon Animals for all the kids. Those 2 were awesome making our kids a mermaid, motorcycle, dog, turtle, bow and arrow, ray gun, helicopter and for my wife a flower bracelet. Our food came out and the portions are big. Good size steak, burger and salads. The bread and cinnamon butter are warm right out the oven. Everything was great the only thing was the steak needed more seasoning. our server Dominic did a good job refilling water and bringing everthing out on time. What kept them from getting 5 star was the food was good but not exdroinanary. 1 to 10(10 is da best) Food …7 Price … 8 since kids eat free mon and tues Décor … 7 Atmosphere … 6 Service … 7 Would i come back … yes, the portions and the food is worth coming back

This is a fun place to eat! From the buckets of peanuts … You can throw shells on floor to the Long Island ice tea! Everything thing we had was great! I love the way your server comes to the table and writes their name in crayon on your table! Fun!!!
