Not sure what it is but a nice welcoming atmosphere. Good coffee, great bagels. Maybe too many tables, I don’t see it full but I’m usually there at weird times. I recommend their veggie cream cheese. Very good. Personally find their lattes better than drip. Not too much flavoring and good without any if that’s your style.

Best lemonade ever!!! The seating is interesting with the combination of tables and old couches, but overall the atmosphere is inviting and laid back. It’s a great place for socializing, but I probably wouldn’t choose to study here. Definitely thankful for this coffee shop though as it is one of the only good ones that is open past 6 pm!

I love the charm and atmosphere of this cute little place. The hot chocolate is great! Wonderful place to chill with friends, go for a date or meet someone for a meeting or a chat. I love that it’s in the Perry district!

The pros: Fun quirky location. Lots of healthy fresh soup & sandwiches on the menu. Ice cream! Very casual indoor/outdoor seating. The cons: The building although quirky, is a bit rundown and a little dirty. There was a dog inside while we were there. They were out of a lot of the ingredients to make the menu items, no eggs, no bacon. The only soup was chili. The service was half hearted at best. I live in Portland, so I feel like I can take a certain level of quirky, dirty & surly, but the food isn’t good enough to at this place to get past all that.

$ 3 pints of beer/cider on Thursdays. Can’t beat that! They seem to have a little of everything, coffee, pastries, ice cream, beer, sandwiches. It’s awesome. Also it’s in a great neighborhood so that’s a plus. Give it a shot!

This place is really funky. Couches abound. Eclectic décor. A community board pinned to the gils with flyers and business cards. A few people studying, working, and having heart-to-heart conversations. Think of it primarily as a coffee shop but with tons of other muchies(plus dranks, plus hot sandwiches, plus vegetarian options, plus ice cream). It is definitely not a «waiter service» place, so if you are in a rush it’s probably not a great option. If you want to hang, The Shop it is! Delicious vegan cupcakes, even for a non-vegan. Bacon & broccoli quiche to rival any I’ve had in Spokane. Wi-fi of course, and open air if at all possible due to the huge garage doors they open up if weather permits. Again, more of a hippie vibe, so just relax when you come in and take your time. Great option for a mellow day. My main critique is that they were not awesome for rolling around with my big stroller, because it was pretty packed with furniture, so I had some awkward moments getting my food, getting my seat, and leaving without feeling like I was in the way. They do have one highchair for future reference. I wouldn’t come here again alone with my kiddo, unless I had some help, but I will definitely come back by myself or with friends for some chill time. They are known around town for hosting free summer movie nights in their parking lot(to benefit charities), as well as Thursday Market in their parking lot(the Perry District’s open air market). I also happened to notice $ 2-$ 3 mimosas… say what?! Yes, please!

Stopped here looking for lunch during Hoopfest. Was at first disappointed by the lack of air conditioning because it was 102& I had been outside all day but the food quickly made up for it — so glad we stumbled upon this place! Had an oven roasted turkey sandwich on focaccia and it was AMAZING. Boyfriend had a roast beef sandwich and he said it was the best one he’d ever had(and he gets them a lot!) they also gave us a «messed up» cupcake they had made as a sample since it was our first time there and it was DELICIOUS. on top of that everyone working was super friendly and welcoming. If we come back to Spokane again(hoopfest 2016?) we will definitely be repeat customers!

My friend and I went here for brunch. We got the biscuit sandwich and I don’t think it was anything special. I rate this place three stars because this place has the cheapest mimosas that I can find so far in Spokane. During the weekends, it’s $ 2 and I think $ 3 during the weekday. Come here for cheap mimosas!

Cute shop with coffee, tea and beer. They have pastries and some sandwiches. It’s a fun intimate place to grab a drink and hang out for some time. Love that they sell the local honey which is at the farmers market. On Thursdays, discounted pint of beers!

I grew up 5 blocks from the shop, attended Grand elementary school. Always found solace from the heat/cold inside with a hot cup of coffee and friendly faces. I’m very disappointed the report that these days are over. Surly ‘hipster’ staff(lest a few, you know who you are) have turned this place into a pretentious nightmare. If I manage to get the correct coffee, I end up waiting 15 minutes for my bagel. This all after I’ve waited patiently for the barista to finish his/her leisurely conversation with the person in front of me. On another note, I realize it’s always policy to card when someone orders a beer. When I order the same beer three nights in a row, I expect you to remember my face. Really sad to say I’m going to be taking my business elsewhere from now on after being a regular for 10+ years.

Used to be a quiet coffee shop, has become a pretentious camp-site for entitled people. Staff threw our change at us and refused to listen to our request not to put milk in our coffee… every time we go in there, they don’t pay attention to your order and want to put the milk in the cup regardless of what we say… gross! Very frustrating when the person whose only job is to listen and fulfill your order doesn’t bother to do either. Never seems to have fresh coffee ready. If there were another coffee shop on the block, this place would be out of business in 6 months due to staff attitude and cleanliness issues.

Exactly 1.5 blocks from my house, this place is geographically perfectly positioned to provide me with all of my food, beer, cupcake and ice cream needs. The tofu thai peanut gravity bowl is delicious. And their breakfast options are perfect for those Saturday mornings when you just don’t feel like pouring another bowl of Cheerios. Dogs are welcome(and are often the highlight of each visit). Lots of vegan and vegetarian options as well as great beers, great treats and yummy ice cream. Stop by my house and invite me along next time you decide to go here!

I am from a Coffee Shop town and was so surprised to stumble upon this fantastic café in an obscure residential neighborhood(but 2 minutes off the highway.) Here is what I loved: * friendly, positive vibe. * family and dog-friendly * outdoor seating, morning sun, eve shade * full espresso bar with milk, soy, almond and hemp * bakery, deli, beer, mimosas… * eclectic, unique but curated décor * I only went in for a coffee and left with a pound of beans as well(anvil coffee roasting) — so delicious! * they accept Square Wallet * I am definitely returning!

I love this place if just for the affogato alone. I’ve gotten it twice now and paired with biscotti, it’s just fantastic! Their hummus is also pretty good. I really like the vibe and atmosphere, especially on warmer days. There’s a stack of board games to play with your friends. I’ve also come here for movie nights during the summer. My husband and I brought our dogs and it actually wasn’t that bad. They’re usually a pain in the ass but they settled down after some time. My little one thoroughly enjoyed eating popcorn off the ground. I think the Shop is a great little place to stop by when on South Hill. And seriously, get the espresso affogato. You won’t regret it.
