What a lucky find!!! A friend and I wanted to warm up and have some tea and goodies day after Thanksgiving, we’ll really we were getting away from our men and football This place is a true gem. It’s a beautiful old charmer with a wonderful mother daughter team that own it. It was delicious so much so that half way through I was full but had to continue so I could try everything. We were talking, catching up and truly lost track of time and we closed out the place. They had transformed the night before into A Christmas wonderland. I can’t say enough. Food, service, beautiful old charm. This is a must for any occasion, you won’t be sorry

There’s such a wonderful sense of welcome at the Brambleberry. The food in particular was one of the finest I’ve experienced for a tea service in the PNW. What a wonderful treat to have this experience waiting for each trip to Spokane!

Wow … A perfect stop on the drive from Seattle to Missoula. The owner was exceptionally cool and sweet, and yes, the tea! I had originally searched for a coffee shop, then found this on Unilocal(thinking they’d have coffee there, which they don’t) but aaahhhh, whatever the first black tea on the list is is just what I needed! So good.

Laura took great care of us! I am a regular for high tea in California, but this was one of the best experiences I have had! The curry potato soup was amazing. The place settings were elegant. It was my first time having a crumpet! And the desserts were endless! Bravo Laura!

This is such a pleasant place to have tea and lunch. Everything was quaint and adorable and made me feel like I had to drink with one pinky up at all times. I mean c’mon, it’s called Brambleberry Cottage! How can it not be cute and dainty??? I scheduled a special tea lunch for my friend and I on a Friday. There was one other, larger party there. The décor is charming to the max and the place settings, silverware, dishes, etc were just so delicate and perfect in every way. Do not rush this experience. Drink it all in(heh heh… drink — get it? Because it’s tea…), fully savor the atmosphere, the tea, the food, the desserts. There are many choices of tea, I had a really hard time narrowing it down. But that just means I have reasons to go back. I finally settled on a strawberries and cream tea. I was very happy with it. You wouldn’t think little bites and tea sandwiches would fill you up, but by the time dessert came around, us girls, who we both consider ourselves fat people trapped in little girl bodies, were stuffed! We were almost forcing ourselves to eat the delicious dessert and enjoying every minute. There was probably one sandwich I didn’t like. But I just don’t like almond chicken sald… to each his own. Other than that the food was great. The service was great as well. I think there’s just one gal working which must be tough. She was very nice and friendly and really made you feel as you were having tea in her home. I am definitely coming back. There are so many teas to try and this is a wonderful place to take girls and be all girly, and wear frilly stuff, and baubles, and giant hats. It’s a great treat!

I just had the most delightful tea at the Brambleberry Cottage & Tea Shoppe! Having enjoyed high tea at many tea houses across the United States, I can state that this tea is over the top! It is my favorite tea house now. They are located in a quaint & cozy cottage tastefully decorated by Dawn(the owner) with many charming, unique hand crafted items subtly for sale. The tea selection is generous; easily over 40 different teas to chose from but don’t worry. You can order several different types of tea to drink during your high tea. The yummy tea sandwiches, scones & variety of desserts are presented on a beautiful tiered stand. I ate the most delicious white chocolate & coconut scone with Devonshire cream, of course. The generous variety of desserts served were so unique. To name a few: cotton soft Japanese Cheesecake, Matcha Cake Sushi Rolls-looks like a sushi roll-tastes amazing!, Hibiscus butter cookie-yum & kiwi ice-refreshing! The ambiance is soothing and you feel pampered. The staff is charming and the owner is warm and personable. You feel they truly enjoy what they do and do it with love. You’ll feel so at home and welcomed that you won’t want to leave. Spokane is fortunate to have such a gem in their city. My first visit to Bramble Cottage and looking forward to getting there again soon!

Brambleberry Cottage is about a forty minute drive for us, but believe me when I say — it is well worth the travel time! I have taken tea there on two separate occasions and both were positively heavenly. It’s located in downtown Spokane in a cute, little two-story house and has two separate tea rooms to accomodate 16 — 20 people(I’m guessing). They have a marvelous selection of tea,(the vanilla bush rooibos is a favorite of ours) and wonderful sweet and savory accompaniments. We had mini cheesecakes, a fruit tart, chicken salad and cucumber sandwiches, and scones. Beautiful, comfortable, decadent, and elegant are a few choice words I’d use to describe Brambleberry Cottage. In fact, I think I shall have high tea there again very soon. Cheers!

As part of my mother’s Christmas gift this year, my sister and I decided to take her to Brambleberry Cottage and Tea Shoppe during my visit. I’m quite pleased that we did. The space itself was quite charming and certainly lends itself well to drinking a pot of tea and eating a piping hot buttered muffin(or a crumpet or a scone). The service was excellent. While some may complain that it’s a trifle slow, a decent tea should be leisured. Let the vulgar herd rush about hither and thither. Taking a cup of tea should be relaxing. The food was delicious. It is evident that great care is given to prepare toothsome items to eat with your tea. We began with candy cane scones. These were definitely a hit! They’re very delicious and not overly sweet. Additionally, there were crumpets with devonshire cream, strawberry jam, and Oxford marmalade. Each of these were quite delicious. My only cavil was that I would’ve preferred my crumpets to be rather more toasted and piping hot. This, however, is a minor issue. After these items, we moved to a potato soup that was, in a word, heavenly. Lightly flavored with soured cream and dill, this transported the delicious(if often pedestrian) cream of potato soup to new levels. I believe that the potatoes were initially baked before being made into soup. I wish I’d asked for this recipe. Next, we had an assortment of delicious sandwiches(cucumber, a curry-almond roll, and something else) and tea cakes. These were all exceptionally well presented and quite delicious. I was quite pleased with the teas available as well. While there are certainly a number of tisanes available, I was pleasantly surprised to find a good lapsang souchong on the menu. Later, after discussing the lapsang with the hostess, I mentioned a blend that I purchase at my local tea shop which I find quite enjoyable(JP Morgan — a combination of lapsang and Earl Grey). Our hostess promptly offered to blend some for me because she was intrigued by this blend. I didn’t have to be asked twice! My mother had the Queen’s blend and my sister chose the Duchess blend and both enjoyed the teas very much. There were two minor issues which would make the tea service as close to perfection as possible. First, when we received the tea, it was a trifle cooler than I prefer it. Even with the cozy, it grew cold rather too quickly. Whether this was a result of not heating the tea pot before making the tea or because the ladies working there were quite busy, I’m not sure. However, I’m positive that had I said something, they would’ve addressed the concern immediately. The other issue was the lack of a slop basin. However, we received one later during our stay. Overall, I was very happy with the service, the tea, and the food. I highly recommend visiting Brambleberry Cottage and Tea Shoppe. Hopefully, they will find 2011 to be a successful and prosperous year as I hope to return with my mother and sister next year.

I just attended the Brambleberry Cottage Christmas Memories Tea with my mom. It was wonderful. I highly recommend you attend. The location is different from the one listed on Unilocal. The tea shop moved to downtown Spokane into a cute little vintage house.
