This is a great little sandwich shop! The food is great and the service is also wonderful! These guys and gals know how to make a sandwich. If you haven’t been here before you definitely want to add it to your list of places to try in spokane. The unique atmosphere makes it a fun place to eat as well.

One thing I missed when I went vegetarian was Reuben sandwiches, and here is Stella’s with Reuben sandwiches making my day! I get it just about eveytime I go there. My husband loves the record player and that he gets to go throught the album’s and play somthing he likes.(when no one else is playing it) it has a very large and open venue, rustic and a visual memory of spokane original buildings.

Always yummy sandwiches — my favorite is the meatloaf– great tangy sauce. Be warned it has powerful onions! We decided to celebrate a bit, and ordered a Stella Bar for dessert. Caramel and chocolate chips melted into a square of insane goodness. Fabulous. Atmosphere is funky and fun. Highly recommend.

Great food! I unfortunately felt I needed to lower the stars, though, because I never know when they’re going to be open or not. It’s a bit of a trek for us to make it over to Stella’s Café. We love their food, but it’s happened twice now that we show up during supposed business hours and they are closed. Wasted time and gas money. They have wonderful sandwiches, though. We absolutely love their pulled pork. When I’ve tried their soups they’ve always been good. Lots of places to sit and a cool atmosphere with local art on the walls. I just wish I could count on them being open in accordance with their listed business hours.

The food just was not very good. Most of the energy seems focused on trying to make the location appear hip and not enough on making the sandwiches tasty. Point in case, two of my kids preferred the bowl of plain iceberg lettuce placed on the side of one of the sandwiches and chips. Sure, kids can be picky, but when I tried the grilled cheese I immediately their decision. The menu is gluten free and vegan heavy. Neither is my taste, but may be these are their strength, but we didn’t see anything to bring us back.

Flew in all the way from California to check out some schools and happened to stumble upon this café when I was looking around for food. Food: 3 stars I bought the chicken salad sandwich, and I was given ample amounts of chicken, which was awesome! The sandwiches are pretty small, but filling. Personally, I don’t think that there was anything special about the sandwich. It was tasty, but I definitely have had better. Ambience/atmosphere: 5 stars I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the shop. The shop had a very nice atmosphere, and I loved the layout and decorations of the shop. It seems like a nice place to just grab food and catch up with a friend. Overall, I would definitely stop by if I’m ever in the area again.

Stella’s is a relaxed spot that serves quality food. The pulled pork and the bahn-mi are my go-to orders. If you’re hungry, it’s worth paying a little more for extra meat on the pulled pork. Tomato soup is standard. You get what you pay for here. Never left disappointed. Keep up the good work, Stella’s.

Tasty sandwiches and staff that go out of their way to make sure you’re happy. We got there at 2, and they closed at 3. I ordered a gluten free grilled cheese with tomato basil soup, and my hubby ordered a steak sandwich. They made my sandwich non-gf, and had to make it again, which was a little frustrating, but they were so apologetic, I couldn’t help but feel bad for them. Plus they gave my hubby the sandwich I couldn’t eat, and an extra soup – which he was quite pleased with! When I did get my sandwich, it was ooey gooey-just as a grilled cheese should be! Next time, I’ll order it with bacon and tomato; it’s my fave! Don’t looooove the tomato soup, though. It’s good, but so spicy that it felt like acid on the back of my throat! I appreciate that they make vegan soups, but what’s wrong with vegetarian soups too? Or soups with meat? Just a suggestion. Good food! We’ll be back!

If you’re looking for a sandwich place other than Subway and Jimmy Johns — give it a try. Pros: — Pretty good sandwiches — Cool location, music, décor — Support a non-chain restaurant Cons: — You don’t get a lot of food for $ 9

Gave this place a try, but wasn’t happy, and here’s why. Like most places in Spokane, it seems everywhere is cutting quality for price. Smaller portions then usual, lack of original favor that was once great, now ordinary. Pretty much what you’d expect, but why? At 7 – 8 $ min. I don’t see the issue. Not a big fan of the art gallery theme, but many people are. I do however love the single floor lay out. Wood flooring and brick walls are fantastic. Easy going music, and the food it’s self didn’t taste of cheap quality. Just seemed like poor recipe, maybe I caught them on an off day. Though the pulled pork BBQ sandwich, and the meatless Ruben didn’t taste good, and my company said it had changed for the worst. This is kind of two reviews in one, still very unlikely I’ll be back. Mediocre service at best.

Positive: The bread is very good. The Bahn mi was decent. Negative: The hipster girl should stop dancing and take orders. Roasted brussels sprouts as a side. you should probably tell patrons that they are served cold. Loud metal music doesn’t set much of a welcoming atmosphere.

LOVED this place! Who knew Watercress Bisque would be one of my new favorite things? I’m traveling for work and found Stella’s on Unilocal.Ordered the grilled cheese with my soup and was so happy with both. Great atmosphere, cool restaurant, great food.

Awesome food. Awesome service. I had the turkey sandwich and my friend had the grilled chicken sandwhich. Both were 10⁄10. If I am in the area again I would definitely stop by!

Super cute place– strings of christmas lights and vegan and gluten free options abound I had the vegan, GF chili and my dining partner had the chicken salad and both were delicious. Service was very friendly. Order at the counter and choose your seat. art on the walls and rustic wood floors make the experience an enjoyable one.

I have been back to Stella’s several times, and they do not serve a sandwich that is less than delicious. Try the banh mi or the chicken salad. Mmmm!

I absolutely LOVE this place. My first time here was in 2013 where I met Stella and her mom. I asked what the favorite was and her recommendation was«Pulled Pork» and their tomato soup. So I tried both… BOTH were Amazing! Pulled pork has definately been my favorite since then and I’ve never ordered any other main dish outside of that. The pork is marinated with an amazingly rich sauce and the best part is that it’s so tender. The mixture of the tender pulled pork with bread results in a tastefully glorious explosion in your mouth. I call it «celebration» . The space is very artistic and the atmosphere is welcoming. I love the wall art surrounding the room —(price tag with artist info attached). They also have a piano in the middle of the space and I have only one heard Stella play the piano. There are only metered parking outside Stellas, so be prepared with coins. Across the street is a public parking lot that is charged and not worth it, if you’re just here to eat. I’ve brought groups and friends here and they have all had a pleasant experience. The only negative taste experience one had was with the egg salad sandwich.
Apart from that. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Changed to four stars as didn’t think it would be fair to knock off a star due to personal taste. After reading so much good things on Unilocal about this sandwich shop, we agreed it would be worth a try. Their 20% off offer with check-in also helped. It was easy to find, located on Broadway, just east of Monroe. We even found street parking right in front! Alpine Bakery does both their GF and regular breads. Chicken Salad sadwich on GF bread — Nicely seasoned, tasty salad but cubed chicken, generous greens, delicious toasted, light GF bread slices, served with a side of thicker potato chips and a fork(handy for picking up salad drops) Pulled Pork Sandwich — Served on yummy, toasted chiabatta-like bread, the pork was melt-in-your-mouth tender and lightly sweet, topped with a delicious cole slaw and parsley salsa, side of chips, and handy fork. Overall, my chicken Salad sandwich tasted wonderful, but some of the cubed chicken bordered on hard and dry. I thought the Pulled Pork Sandwich was very good, cosidering that I ate it cold after the original diner had removed the slaw and salsa, and ate through just 1⁄3 of it, not enjoying the taste. We ordered at the counter and our sandwiches were served to us at our table. Staff was friendly and courteous, great ambiance with natural lighting, old, brick walls, super high ceiling, and interesting paintings for sale dsplayed on huge wall. The unisex restroom was charming, clean, roomy, and ADA friendly.
