Sonic

Sonic has a lot better variety than most burger places. Not just chicken, but really good hot dogs as well. The bacon cheddar dog with grilled onions on a pretzel bun will surely be the death of me. If the chili cheddar tots don’t end me first.
Drive thru can be slow sometimes, but I usually hit it at lunch rush so kinda my own fault.
Employees have always been friendly and engaging which is rare at burger huts.
Prices are not horrible when you consider everyone has gotten more expensive.
If you have been to a Sonic before you know what to expect here. They meet expectations of other Sonics I have hit up.

Sonic-​Drive in is a good experience so far. I’ve have the popcorn chicken which was decent and expected. I also had one of the burgers which was extremely delicious, so fresh and tasty. I would definitely go here again. Burgers are a must try.
Even though I’m used to eating in the car (sometimes eating while driving) I find drive-​ins very uncomfortable. This place is all about Drive-​in or Drive-​thru (of course!) with a few tables and benches. The food is good, but seriously nothing out of the ordinary.
The roller-​skate waitresses (carhop) provide fast service. Decent food, great service! The only thing that I was a little saddened by was that card readers on some of the terminals didn’t work.

I can’t believe it, I got there before close and the lady at the drive thru said she took the last order. I was like was that the car who just went ahead of me that I could physically see and she was like yes. There was no one behind me and she was very rude. All I wanted was a milk shake. I work in fast food and that was so incredibly rude, especially because they weren’t closed. I will never go to this sonic again

i have been here 3 times now and one thing i can say is they are consistent. drive thru is super slow. service is marginal at best. food is pretty ok but gets cold really fast. not bad for a change of pace but just makes me long for my other favorite PF spots (big bear deli, ricardo’s, fuki) that aren’t open yet as I am heading to work.

The worst Coney dog I’ve ever had the bun was hard the sauce was limited and the hotdog itself was dried out never again will I go here

Sonic is awesome but this one SUCKS. Got my order wrong and didn’t even give me marinara sauce with my mozzarella sticks. Don’t do it or at least make sure you check before you leave

Happy hour and half price shakes are the best times to stop by for cheap treats. Their service is usually reasonably fast and I’ve never seen fewer than half the drive in spots filled.

Lately they’ve been advertising those «Nerds slushies» which sounds delicious so I drove 25 minutes down to try it out. Well after I drive off I realize they never even added them in my slushy. Total waste of time and gas. The chicken strip meal was cold and the tater tots were disgustingly over salted… Don’t go here. Everyone is rude anyways.

I usually like Sonic if I’m going to eat fast food but last Thursday I had an awful experience! Not only did I wait 25 min in line but my order was completely messed up and it took them 3 tries to get it right and over charged me by $ 8. To top it off they were incredibly rude about the whole situation!

I am reviewing Sonic as it compares to other FAST FOOD. I am not giving 5 stars as compared to a 5 star restaurant. Get it? ;) As far as fast food goes these guys have it nailed. Waiter service on roller skates. They keep you outside away from the constant beeping of the fry timer (McDonalds). They have really good menu options and they are reasonable in price.

I went after 8pm when milkshakes are half off. I had to wait for 10 minutes. This has happened to me the other 2 times that I have been there. Milkshakes are great but the wait time is kind of long for that kind of food establishment.

This is an OK Sonic location, not great. The food is meh, but I am arriving for one thing — cherry limeaid! It does not disappoint. I wish it came in a size larger than Route 44!

I can honestly say that this is the, hands down, worst drive thru I’ve been to in Spokane.
I have gone there a few times, and every time was nearly as bad as my adventure today, hence why it gets the dredded, IF ONLY THERE WAS A NEGATIVE STAR star, though to day it the straw that broke this camel’s back.
This is an honest to god play-​by-​play of today’s episode in the Sonic Drive Thru. Mind you, there was NO one in front of me or behind me, only a few cars parked and eating, and it was a rather QUIET day.
Sonic: Thank you for choosing Sonic, Can interest you in a coney dog?
Me: What’s a coney dog? (I honestly didn’t know)
Sonic: Did you want to add tots and a drink for $ 3.99?
Me: No. What’s a coney dog?
Sonic: Three coney dogs. Is there anything else?
Me: NO! Listen! I don’t want a coney dog.
Sonic: Ten coney dogs. Was there anything else?
Me: ARE YOU EFFING SERIOUS!!!
Sonic: Extra onions, okay. There’s an upcharge for that.
Me: *Am i being punked?!* I WANT A BREAKFAST BURRITO!
Sonic: That’ll be $ 29.68 (or something like that) at the window. Please pull ahead.
*grinds teeth*
*death grip on steering wheel*
*pulls around*
Sonic: That’ll be $ 29.68.
Me: I don’t want your hotdogs ! I want two bacon breakfast burritos. Try listening!
Sonic: *Dumbfounded expression* So you want ten coney dogs with extra onions and two burritos?
Me: *SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS STARTLING HER* No, I don’t eat hotdogs. I’m highly allergic to onions. Just give me my effing burritos and blue slushy thing.
Will I be back?
No. Every time i go to THIS Sonic, it’s a HORRIBLE experience and the food and slush things AREN’T worth the drama and headache.

This Sonic has a special place in my heart. My partner and I go on vacation to the Shambhala Music Festival every year, and this is on the way. So, when we pass it, we stop, at least once.
It’s always hot when we drive through, so whatever cold drink I order seems to be a God-​send, but I still enjoy the flavors. I try to get something different everytime, it’s fun. The wait service here seems to always be friendly, as well.
However, as a chain, I have to just give it a 3. I’m not a huge fan of their beef, the fries are good, but not the best. I go once a year, and will probably continue to, but that’s plenty for me.

Sonic. Sonic. another place i see on US commercials and cant wait for a trip down south of the border… the one place we always look for is a Sonic. we get the GPS out and search. well we found this one about 15min from our hotel…
the prices here are great. i wish the prices here in Canada for fastfood was this low. but when i see that Americans pay $ 2.20 for 4l of milk to our $ 5.99 + .25 dep +.10 cfa for a total of $ 6.34 for 4l … i see how Sonic milk shakes are such a low price and they are GOOD!!! all the drinks there are good you have to go back over and over to try them all, but i stick for that Blue ocean water stuff. only a small glass of that because it is sooooo sweet you have to share it. then i will get what ever tropical slush thing they have on that summer…
the burgers mmmmmm great, the fries crisp, the servers on roller skates fun, we eat at the benches when there because 4 of us in a car eating chilly dogs ans such gets a little messy… lol.

Sonic threatened a long established local business with trademark infringement for the name «Sonic.» That type of bad corporate behavior and bullying will lead me to never support this or any other Sonic enterprise.
Shame on you Sonic Corporation for using your size and legal team to intimidate legitimate local businesses.

We spotted this Sonic at the beginning of our road trip and promised it as we drove by that we would be back in 2 days… AND WE KEPT OUR PROMISE.

First of all, we showed our faces on Sunday at 11:30 and it was packed, but one of the roller skaters offered us a sample of blue slushy something, whatever it was, it was delicious sugary goodness.
Second, Pickle O’s are gross… dont order them, no amount of Ranch will make them good. The Mozz sticks were mediocre, but really, how can you jazz those up? The wrap was only half eaten, something in it my son didn’t like. The Chili Tots were eaten like a whirling dervish!!! Gone is seconds. Just like the Chili dog. The Bacon Cheese was delish, maybe because I hadnt eaten bacon all weekend?! I dont know, but it was delish.

There are three reasons you should eat here. They are also the same reasons you should not here.
Eat here because you can eat in your car. This is a drive-​in restaurant. You can simply pull up to a menu and place your order from your car window. In addition, you can go through the faster drive-​thru.
Don’t eat here because you will have to eat in your car. Eating in your car is disgusting. There are just so many good reasons to not eat inside your automobile. Sonic’s chili covered Coney dogs are really good. However, they are a bit too messy for eating in the car. Hand washing?
The second best reason to eat here is the drive-​in menu. You can select a variety of drinks, and order them over the intercom.
Don’t eat here, because there is a wide variety of customizable items on the menu. You will have to order these items via intercom. Every time I order a complicated beverage. I have to repeat it several times. I can’t understand the the wait staff, they can’t understand me. The intercom ordering system just doesn’t work well.
The third best reason for eating here, is the wait staff. The car hops are wearing roller skates. It’s real cool and entertaining.
The third best reason for not eating here, is the wait staff. The car hops hate you with every fiber of their being. You make them wear roller skates. They can’t understand what you are saying over the intercom when you order a chocolate Coke and Coney dog. They are upset with you for mixing up your order over the intercom. Finally, they think you are a disgusting freak for ordering a chocolate Coke, and chili Coney dog and eating it in your car.
There are some good reasons to eat at Sonic. There are some good reasons not eat at Sonic. I guess that makes Sonic just A-​OK.

Meh, it’s OK. Better than your average fast food chain I suppose. I used to be obsessed with the place until they expanded into Florida. Then I moved to Oklahoma (where they originated) and they were EVERYWHERE.
Once the novelty wears off it becomes another fast food chain.
I will admit though, the cherry limeade IS pretty good.
