How to succeed at The Safari Room without really trying: Pull into that valet and toss your keys. Go during Happy Hour 4−6pm. All drinks(including cocktails) and flatbreads half off. It’s like they are on clearance. Order a St. Safari, a pesto flatbread, and house wine. Total is under $ 20, everything is delicious, and you get your valet comped with receipt. Drops mic.

Anxiously anticipated an incredible signature Seafood Louis salad tonight. First time dining at the Safari bar. Yes, I admit, I expected to be very impressed as I’ve never in my life considered paying $ 22 for a salad. Extremely disappointing. I’m sure there wasn’t more than one ounce of Seafood in this salad. It was a delicious tomato, egg and lettuce salad though. At the price point this is the breadwinner of the day for this venue. Surely cost them about a dollar to produce. I’ll stick to drinks only at the Safari bar in the future. Sad because at this price they could afford to truly knock people’s socks off rather than rip them off with this Louis Davenport namesake. Louis would probably roll over in his grave if he saw what I was served tonight.

First off I have been here before and had amazing food! Tonight, however, it was downright disgusting. I gave it 2 stars because the drinks were exceptional and the food was not edible. 5 star drinks and 0 star food. The creamed spinach was seriously raw spinach with a cream sauce poured over the top like a dressing. The steak-ordered medium-was mooing. And the fish was old and smelly and garnished with so many green beans there was no more room on the plate. The crab Louis salad was ½ a head of butter lettuce. And two pieces of crab. Again…great drinks!!!

We were up that way visiting some friends and were in downtown Spokane for New Year’s day — bummer because a lot was closed, but it lead us to this lovely gem! We had the most delightful happy hour — a great price on drinks and their flatbreads were half off from 4−6pm. I enjoyed the mushroom/fontina/truffle oil flatbread and my hubby had probably the most awesome salad ever! It was the lemon basil chicken salad — at first we weren’t sure if it was ‘chicken salad’ or a salad with chicken(note, it’s the latter), but they need to bottle the dressing! It’s like a creamy lemon basil dressing and pairs so well with the chicken, gorgonzola and almonds — I hinted at getting the recipe, however our waitress wouldn’t budge. I wish I remembered her name though, very friendly and helpful when we were asking questions about the menu. I know where I’m going when I’m back up in Spokane.

Here for work, and I must say that every meal has been great thus far. I do plan on staying at all of the Davenport hotel’s on my future business trips.

I think this place is beautiful inside. The safari theme is so fun and unique. Some of my most memorable times have been in front of the fire on that huge sofa drinking grape martinis(there’s my menu suggestion) and appetizers with my man. The food is good, the drinks are great, the service and ambiance is perfect! ENJOY!

Great value on the lunch menu with perfect portion sizes. When I was invited on a lunch date at Safari Room, I was expecting an overpriced lunch that wouldn’t hold me over until dinner. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw their lunch menu and the cheap prices. When you walk inside this fancy restaurant, you dont expect to leave paying $ 6 for lunch. I ordered the curry lentil soup with salad. The soup had a great flavor and actually filled me up! My only complaint was with the thai flatbread. It was pretty much just cheese with only a few pieces of chicken.

The ambiance was sophisticated, stylish, and comfortable. We sat at the bar and the service was very attentive and prompt. Being a bartender, I watched them make very strong cocktails, as all cocktails are $ 11, but served as doubles. Happy hour runs from 4 – 6 and is half off all alcohol. Very pleased with that! They have about 12 taps and 20 signature cocktails. Flatbreads were also half off during happy hour, and the shrimp flatbread was outstanding. Our bartender, Sarah, was very friendly and very good at her job. All in all, service was great, happy hour was amazing, the ambiance was classy and comfortable, and the price was very reasonable. I will def be back!

We were tired after a long hot day in Coeur d’Alene. It was nice to sit and relax. I enjoyed my margarita with extra lime pieces. My grandson had the gumbo and said it was good and loaded with sausage. In fact the 14 year old couldn’t eat it all. I had salmon with huckleberry sauce. The deserts are little mini tasters but just right size.

I had both a dinner and breakfast at the Safari room over the period of two days. Awesome service. Not only did they take care of the basics but everyone from the host to the server and buss help seemed to truly care if I was happy The food is first rate and not very expensive(per seattle or Portland standards).

I am staying at a very upscale hotel in this area and went bar hopping to explore Spokane and meet new people while decompressing from a long week. I order a mimosa here and it was delicious as the champaign used was very high quality and it tasted good(a little strong), the service was great as expected from such a classy venue, and price was fair for the drink. Environment: 5⁄5 Classy Quality of Drink: 4.1÷5 Above Average Price: 3.5÷5 A little overpriced, yet fair considering the location. Overall: 4.2÷5 Worth it if you are into hyper classy places over funner, cheaper, and louder bars.

Came for Birthday drinks for a friend and it was wonderful. Great waitstaff and delicious drinks. The Zebra was brilliant and the Pink Panther tasted like raspberry lemonade so I loved it!

I have never been disappointed by this place. It’s nice to have a place in town that is a little more upscale but no snooty. The atmosphere is always top notch and they have great drink specials. The servers and bartenders are always really nice. Just a solid place to go for a few drinks.

One of the best thin crust pizzas west of NYC.(Yep…don’t argue.) Well cooked crust, sauce is not overdone. Some very interesting combinations. Great service.(Thank you William) Beer sampler is a great deal for only $ 6.00!

While staying at the Davenport my friends and I went to check out the Safari room for lunch. First off, our server did a fantastic job. She was extremely friendly, made conversation with us and also ensured we were happy and had enough food/drinks. very satisfied with the service. We all got lunch specials and spent about $ 14 each including tip. Very good price! The sliders and fries were very tasty. I also loved the clam chowder, one of the best Ive tried in a while. Reason for four stars was because of the flat bread pizza. It was absolutely swimming in grease. Almost unappetizing. Other than that, everything else was great. Would definitely return and recommend.

Great breakfast location in downtown Spokane. Meals run $ 7-$ 17, although selection isn’t huge. Ingredients are always fresh and the preparation is excellent. I have had most items on the menu and the crab omelette is my favorite. This isn’t a case of a little canned crab sprinkled in eggs but a full serving of crab with fresh spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms and a flavorful cream sauce on top.

The family came here for lunch to celebrate a birthday. My father-in-law order two hummus appetizers for the table(we were a group of seven); however, the appetizers didn’t arrive before our entrees. The waitress was very apologetic, and the manager insisted on taking it off the bill even though my father-in-law argued against taking it off. The hummus appetizers were delicious. I eat a lot of hummus and this had great flavor(would definitely recommend it). As for the food, my wife’s curried lentil soup and salad were perfect, especially for $ 6. My wife make her own lentil soup, and she said that this was a definite thumbs up. I had the breakfast flatbread, and it was a lot of food and very tasty(I had it without the cheese because I really can’t stand cheese). Several in our party had the pulled pork sandwich and said that it was very tasty. My brother-in-law, who had the mac and cheese, said that it slid down his throat easily. If you use the valet parking, it is free when you eat more than $ 10 here. Just show the receipt for your meal.
