Delivery was fast but the food was soggy. There was a piece of plastic in the rice, the chicken felt like rubber, and the broccoli looked old. We ordered for 3 people and we all threw it out and ate something else. Go somewhere else. We normally order from Hong Kong Express but they are closed on Tuesdays.

We were craving Chinese food, and seeing the good reviews, gave this restaurant a try. The positives: staff were kind and gave us tea while we waited for our take-out order, and we were given fortune cookies with our order, and the crab rangoons were good, cute shape and crispy on the outside. The cons: food ordered spicy had no spice, and instead of fried rice, we were given brown rice that tasted like cigarettes. I suspect there are dishes that are really good here, and maybe some, like the crispy lemon tofu and egg flower soup, that are best avoided. Went to bed with an upset stomach and regretted the price paid for the food. Perhaps others here can recommend some dishes that are worth trying Red Dragon again? In general, I do not see us returning.

I’ve driven by here hundreds of times and this place never clicked on my radar, but I’m glad to have stopped by here recently. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating; plus the place was clean. We ordered a couple of dishes for takeout and we were served complimentary tea while we waited. The wait seemed longer than normal, but that could have been because I was really hungry and didn’t order in advance, or it could have been because they actually make their food fresh. Either way I’m glad I did wait because the food was quality and one of the better Chinese food places in town.

After a long roller coaster relationship with Red Dragon I have decided that if you must order takeout in Spokane then this place is to go. The reviews are mixed and it appears that the quality shifts from day to day. I’m not sure if they have a different chef for parts of the week or if people are just ordering their worst dishes. Their stir-fry dishes have fresh vegetables, but it seems that their soups have vegetables from frozen stock. Their authentic dishes rather than their Americanized Chinese dishes are better as a whole, which is why I think my friends and myself have had better experiences with Red Dragon than other customers. If it is glazed you’ll probably be disappointed, but their almond chicken is crispy and not too salty with a good gravy and lots of almonds. The meat quality is also better than most Chinese restaurants(you can actually see the protein fibers and it is not just a floppy, flabby piece of processed yuck). The reason why I give this place a 4⁄5 simply because I have not had a terrible experience in over 10 years and I order from here very frequently, I know which dishes to avoid and which just keeps pulling me in for more. My main complaint and question to this establishment is WHYWHYWHY does delivery take 2+ hours EVERYTIME regardless of the original time quote? I have had to order by 4 just to make certain I have dinner in me by 6. Do NOT wait until dinner hour to order, or even pickup, you will be waiting a long time. Be sure to order by 4 unless you enjoy eating later in the day. They also are not afraid to spice their food, which is something I love. Too many places in America are scared to add spice. Seriously, why the long wait?

Ughhhh… this is beyond nasty! I ate it because I was starving, but I think I’ll just go hungry. Gluten free doesn’t mean flavor free! Lemon chicken with a thick, gross, spoiled lemon sauce on it, Uncle Ben’s rice, and thick, gloppy soup with frozen veggies from Costco suspended in it – yuck! What do they do? Throw corn or arrowroot starch in everything? If that is made from scratch, someone needs cooking lessons. Never again.

I came from San Francisco Bay Area where I could get great Chinese Food. Until today I had not been able to find anything as good as back home. the Red Dragon cured my homesickness. The WonTon Soup was excellent the rest was very good. I will return many times service was good and friendly like they were happy we were there.

do not order from here!!! horrible service. this is the 5th time i have ordered vegan soup and they send me pork soup instead!!! they offer no apologies, or a way to fix the problem. their solution is we are not going to replace it we will cancel the order instead. do not advertise vegan and gluten free food if you only offer meat.

Delicious Chinese delivered! My oldest daughter got her spine fused this last week due to pretty bad scoliosis. This meant lots of time sitting in the Shriners hospital starving and not wanting to get something mediocre from the cafeteria(they have a limited selection unless you’re a patient…) while she recovered. Thankfully there is delivery in Spokane and Red Dragon was there for me. Almost every thing I had was good, almost… because I didn’t like how strong their teriyaki sauce was. Their Almond Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Prawns, BBQ Pork, and Fried Rice were pretty good. The delivery drivers were polite, and aside from the fact that delivery takes 1hr 15min+ from when you order to get to you(so plan early!) it’s totally worth it. CDA doesn’t have good Chinese, nor does Postfalls, so I was more than happy to get something good for once!

I have reviewed this Red Dragon before and given a much higher rating based on food menu and service. I have now had two bad experiences in a row here, so it’s time to update– hope and can come back with a more favorable review in the future. One of the most positive aspects is the menu– Vegan and Gluten free sections. The problem on the last two visits was that even though we definately ordered from these parts of the menu(and verified that the order was understood), we did not get items that were vegan or gluten free. This is a BIG problem. On both occasions, we also did not get what we ordered– wring items were given, some were omitted. A soup bowl came out that had left over soup in it. On both occasions, basic items on the menu were not available– chinese vegetables, eggplant. The second time we were there on a Friday evening, and were told that they hadn’t shopped yet. Really. I really liked this place, but with the current staffing, I would be hard pressed to return.

Let’s start off with the good: they are not the worst Chinese restaurant in Spokane, that award goes to the Cathay Inn; but they certainly are in the bottom five. I won’t go into the gory details but let’s just say this, the oil they use to fry things is about 6 months old, the vegetables appear to be frozen, the sauces are sweet, gloppy messes with tons of food coloring added. The bottom line is this place makes the mall Chinese food taste good. 1.5 stars rounded up because the service was good and we didn’t sick.

Spokane’s original Chinese restaurant. Amazing food. Best Asian food in town that I have tried. Ppl give this place a bad wrap; ask how long it’s been 6 – 12 years. Management, Owner and Chef must of changed. Décor modern Asian. Service is great, but the food(as it should Steels the Show)!!! ONLY complaint is slight noise from bar at night. They now have SEPARATEENTRANCES. Please try this place and rate it appropriately. If you don’t like a cuisine DON’T eat it and rate them poorly.

Service was horrible. Walked in and some guy was using the phone behind the counter, did not acknowledge my presence, and then walked away. When someone who knew what was going on showed up, it was like I was the lowest possible priority. The food was decent but greasy and the potstickers were more like gyoza.

The food was passable. The service was abysmal. The eggrolls were greasy and poorly wrapped. The crab rangoon was fair. The General’s chicken was allright; admittedly you received a generous portion. Prices were a little high for the quality. It took TWO hours from the time I ordered until the delivery person arrived at my hotel. When you order online it says it will take 45 — minutes to an hour for your order to arrive. Forty-five minutes after I placed my order, I received a phone call from the restaurant«confirming» the order and they told me it would be ANOTHER45 minutes — hour for my food to arrive. The food is definitely not worth the looooooooong wait.

After being told that the order was going to be half and hour to 45 minutes, the food finally arrived 90 minutes to arrive. What disgusting food it was. Even the Breadsticks with processed cheese I had bought earlier was way better then what I had OMG… I have had better chinese food from a whole in the wall then I did! CAUTION. THISPLACEISNOTWORTHTHEMONEYANDTHEDISCOUNTCARD I RECEIVEDFROMTHEHOTEL. Ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken. It was Not fully cooked, what else can I say… Ordered Egg Flower Soup… It had nothing but bland cornstarch thickened water. Ordered Moo Shu Tofu under the Vegitarian Cateory, and got meat, and some overcooked frozen type vegetables(beans, carrots, lima beans). Gross! Ordered Pork Fried Rice. It was worth the ½ star… Did not order White rice, but got iti, that was the other ½ star… Orderd MINI Egg Roll, and it was SOGGY as a condensed fried roll stuck in a bag left to sock up with it’s own steam Wayyyy to go! NOT!!! No Fortune Cookie. No Soy Sauce… What else can I say… Save your money! Don’t bother ordering. The $ 45.82 I paid was worth NOTHING. I didn’t even other to call, only because it would have taken another 90 minutes to correct the issue, and it was already 12:45am. Utensils. ONLY chopsticks. ok my fault, I didn’t ask for forks! Enough Said! I think I’ll just dispute the charges, for it was not what I expected. I wish I had come here to Unilocal before I ordered.
