Ate here tonight for the first time with our family and loved it! Food was delicious, the service was wonderful and my kids favorite part was the free ice cream cones. We had the chicken which was perfectly cooked and SO flavorful that you didn’t even really need the BBQ sauce but the spicy sauce was great and added a nice touch. We also tried the coleslaw, waffle fries, and baked potatoe mash which all of us liked. We will be back to try more. Thanks for the great food and service!

Worst barbecue I’ve had in my life. Granted, it’s supposed to be fast food but I just couldn’t even eat it. The brisket was so tough and the chicken was inedible. i really wanted to like this place but I would not recommend it to anyone.

We have gone 3 times into Dickeys to get a baked potato with brisket. It was 7pm on a Saturday night. Prime dinner time. I’m sorry we are out of potatoes!!! This is the 3rd time. Why would you run out of potatoes??? A cheap food, easy to make and needed or a compliment with beef. The gentleman was kind enough to give us a card to come back for a free sandwich. But I don’t think we will go back. The first time, ok. But 3 times now??? Mismanagement.

When we first walked in to this restaurant… There is a sign at the counter that says order here. So we did and since this was our first time we were asking a few questions, simple ones like is your brisket sweetened with the barbecue sauce, they did not know the answer to this. And they were not looking at us in fact they actually turned their back in us. We should’ve just walked out then. But some how since we were so hungry we stayed. We ordered the $ 13 three-piece meat plate special. I got chicken ribs and brisket, with a side of coleslaw and beans. We also ordered a side of waffle fries. When we got to the cash register to pay we had to go over everything we ordered again for the lady, and then she went over and told the exact same people we just told what we ordered. It was bizarre to say the least. We were handed our food that was served on trays I got little tiny chunks of very very salty brisket. Dried out chunks of chicken. And two ribs. The chicken and the brisket were disgusting. However the ribs coleslaw beans and fries were OK. But not worth ever ever ever ever ever ever going back. Do not eat here it is gross, and the people who work there are rude and clueless.

The best deal if you are a carnivore is to get a whole pound of your favorite and share– Think of it a whole pound cost about $ 13.45 and you can pick the meat you choose and someone else desires if you want to share– they will sell you a ½ pound too if you rather that. Then order any sides if you desire but when you want mainly BBQ and that is your true desire then getting the pound is the best deal. You can eat what you want there and share with someone or get if for take out and have a great meal or two at home. But that is a very reasonable price– If you got a meal of one meat and sides it is around $ 9.00 or about $ 11 for 2 meats and sides. That is like ¼ pound of meat so do the math and what is the best deal if it is BBQ you crave and not the sides? The whole pound of wonderful flavorful meat gives you the most value for your buck. Don’t get me wrong if you get one meat and side deal these are very filling meals and grand to eat — but for the pure carnivore that has to travel a distance to get BBQ and you really love BBQ –then I recommend that you get the whole pound of greatness. But if too many did that they would not make a profit– so some people must order the sides. My favorite is the beef brisket which is divine and so tender. You can get it by the slice or chopped. Either way is divine. Then add some of the BBQ sauce of your choice– they have 3 choices, the original, sweet, or the spicy. I usually use the original. Then at the end of the meal you can get a Free soft serve cone. I do the unorthodox and tap some root beer into my yellow cup and then add the soft serve and Wow there you have a root beer float– Who can complain about that as a real bonus. We do not go to Dickey’s often as it is farther for us to travel and just as well or I would become wear the effects. But when the craving for divine BBQ gets to you then it is the place to go. My friends advised me not to go on Sundays(our kids are grown) as Sundays kids eat free and its packed. Sometimes they run out of a favorite. During the week is not very crowded and I am not surprised that more from Mead area do not make that a hot spot for lunch.

Really enjoyed the food. The service, not so much. I was at Costco a couple of weeks ago and saw that they had gift cards for this restaurant on sale. I bought $ 100 dollars’ worth of gift cards and was excited to take my family there. Two weeks ago I went in, ordered our food, and got to the register only to be informed that their gift card machine was down. Luckily I was able to purchase the food with my debit card, but recommended that they put up a sign for future customers, as this could be very frustrating. They assured me that it should be fixed within a couple of days and that next time they would, «treat me right.» Today I went in again. Same thing, I ordered my food, went to pay, pulled out a gift card and was informed that the gift card machine was down today. I asked if it was down today, or if it had been down for two weeks. I was informed that they were down nationwide and that they were just as frustrated as me. The story I was told is that they had changed processing companies and that it was down coast to coast. The manager then explained that he feels like he was, «robbed» by this company, because they sold him a bunch of, «phony» gift cards. Once again, I recommended that they put up a sign and was informed that they had a sign up, but yesterday someone from corporate was visiting the store and made them take it down. Something about the story didn’t sit right with me and I pulled out my phone and called several different Dickey’s from Texas to Pasco. I asked if they were accepting gift cards this evening. Every store I called said yes. So in a nutshell, I was lied to. Every customer that has been in over the past two weeks(at a minimum) was also lied to. When I called Costco to let them know that Dickey’s wasn’t accepting their gift cards, they did not sound happy. Having a down gift card machine is disappointing. Being straight up lied to, is simply dishonest. I am disappointed.

We love in the area but have only eaten here once. We got the rib type meal and it was amazing but seemed a little over priced and that is the main thing from bringing us back again. Good amount of sides but meat wise not that large of a portion. overall not bad but won’t be making this our go to bbq place.

Just left there and I am super disappointed! This used to be my go-to place where I was known as a regular! I ordered their«signature» salad today which comes with a side of onion tanglers. The side of tanglers was ridiculous! About 1⁄8 of what I normally get and the meat on the salad was about ¾ less! They had plenty of room for lots of extra lettuce I have seen a decrease in just about everything(customer service, wait time, runny ice cream, etc) from this location. This was the straw the broke the camels back. Hopefully the owner wises up!

My boyfriend and I went to Dickey’s for the first time on Labor Day, and it wasn’t very busy at the time we went. But from the looks of the dining room, it had been busy at some point. Most of the tables were dirty and trays and stuff left on a few tables. They need to maybe pay more attention to the dining area and make sure that table do get a wipe down. BBQ is messy stuff. That said, the service staff were friendly and helpful. We ordered the Picnic tray with a pound of ribs for both of us to split; along with 2 med sides: we did baked beans, and baked potato casserole and 4 rolls. We also had a coupon for a free sandwich; so we got brisket. Loved!!! the brisket!!! But the ribs were dried out and kind of tough. We decided that we probably would not order them again, but that we would come back for more brisket. The sides were good, but nothing really to write about, about the same as you would get any where else. The ice cream was really a nice touch to end the meal.

I have tried the drive through 2x Both times the person informed me it will take a long time to get my order. And she seemed very displeased. If you can’t get food out fast, don’t have a drive through. Or how about say can I get ya an ice cream cone it’s gonna be a little while. Needs help

The staff was so nice to my Grammy. They took there time to make sure everything was right. Also free ice cream who doesn’t want that! The chicken i had was very tasty and filling even though o had a small. A great dinner all around.

Food quality went up and it is good again. Nice gal at the drive through but not quite up to speed. She charged me separately for items that should have been grouped into a cheaper combo meal. Not the end of time but a little irritating.

I finally got the gusto to give this place a try again after a less than impressive visit about a year ago. Figure you gotta give a restaurant a little slack when you’re only paying 10 – 15 bucks a plate and give them a second go round. Sadly, not much has changed. Incredibly poor customer service(took forever to even have someone say hello, or even come out from the back to see customers were waiting, probably due to the blasting rap music in the kitchen making it difficult to hear customers come in). Once someone did come to help, the gentleman that was putting together my food clearly did not want to be there, and it felt almost awkward watching him put together my sandwich, and felt like I was inconveniencing him by having him make my food. The fact that both televisions had«Bones» playing on them in the dining room didn’t help, which while I love the show, a rotting corpse on a table is not really what I want to see while eating BBQ. As for the food itself, as long as you avoid the brisket(as others have mentioned it’s hit or miss, seemingly more often than not being more like beef jerky than the BBQ you crave) and stick with things like the pulled pork, you’ll be okay, emphasis on the just okay. Definitely not somewhere I would recommend or visit on a more regular basis.

I knew I wanted pulled pork and it was tasty but I was pleasantly surprised by my second choice… turkey breast. It was probably the best I have ever tasted. It was moist and melt in your mouth tender. The barbecue sauce on this visit seemed a bit spicy even though I skipped the spicy and went for sweet and original. The containers may have been mislabeled. The green beans were flavorful but the Cole slaw was only so so. Best part was soft serve cone. Eat in so you can have that sweet treat. Will be back for the turkey.

I got the two meat plate, both meats were Brisket. The total weight was 10 – 12 oz although I didnt eat it all. The plate looked beautiful, but boy was this a complete disappointment. The meat was dry, chewy, and had a fake smoke flavor. And above all, the fat was still solid because it wasn’t cooked long enough to allow it to melt. The only thing that made the meat palatable was drenching the meat in sauce and this isn’t how bbq is suppose to be eaten. The two sides I got was Mac and Cheese and Jalenpeno beans. To start, the Mac and cheese was cold, and the beans could really use some heat and salt. The only thing that didnt have a problem was the bread roll and the bbq sauce. I have to admit the spicy bbq sauce was on point. Being from South Carolina I have been really missing some good bbq after moving here a year ago. I guess I’ll have to keep looking. $ 12.50 Will never go back again My husband order the two meat plate as well except for he got pulled pork and brisket. What a complete disappointment as well. As you can see the only way my husband could chock down the meat was to drench it in sauce because it was so dry and chewy. He said the pork tasted as if it was steamed and he had the same review about the brisket. The sides he choose were potato salad and mac and cheese. His mac and cheese was just as cold as mine and you can see from the dull color of the cheese and the potato salad was very«mayonnaise» flavored with way too much dill. What a let down $ 12.50

Okay food. Good service. Not good enough to travel from the South Hill. Also a bit pricey for what you get.

Yum! My husband loved the beef brisket and the pulled pork. I loved the honey ham and the smoked turkey. My daughter enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich. The baked beans are delicious. However the free ice cream was overly sweet and tasted like frozen milk. We definitely will be back

Most inconsistent place I ever eaten at. Some days the ribs are dry and old and others it’s the brisket. I usually always go for the brisket. Last time it was pretty bad. Lettuce on the usually good caesar was old and wilted. Guy cutting the meat always has an attitude but everyone else Is really friendly. Only thing consistent is the cold ice cream

I have always said that to have a successful restaurant you needed 2 things. You can break down every restaurant into 3 categories; quality of food, quantity if food, service. If a restaurant is good at any 2 if the tree then they will be a success. If it has all 3 it will be award winning. Dickies has 2 of the three. The quality if the food is great. The flavor, texture and quality if the good is great. I cannot say enough good things about all 3. The quantity of the food is pretty good. I have a family if 6 and we all left full. Unfortunately, Dickies completely dropped the ball on service. We showed up and they were not very busy. That said we were ignored consistently by all of the staff. Over and over again. It also appeared that the staff was«fighting» itself. They all appeared to be ignoring each other. Again, we all loved the food but were very disappointed in the service. If anyone from the company reads this I hope the fix the problem. If they do, this place will be perfect.

How does Dickys have 3.5 stars on Unilocal? This place is terrible! My husband and I had family in town, so we thought we would give Dickys a try. I thought we were taking them to a «normal» restaurant — only to find out that you order from an assembly line and pay before you sit down. It is basically fast-food in disguise as a restaurant.(They even have a drive-through). We went in on a Saturday night, and were surprised to find out that they were completely out of both brisket AND chicken! Are you kidding me? Strike one. So we all decide on the pulled pork. After the first person in our group ordered, we were then told that they were also out of pork! On a Saturday night they were completely out of three of the most popular meats?! Ridiculous. Strike two. Next, I asked the kid at the counter what comes on the garden salad(which is $ 6.75). He said it comes with lettuce, parmesan cheese, bacon bits and either ranch dressing or cesar dressing(that’s right, just two dressing choices). That sounds like the crappiest garden salad I have ever heard of. Strike three. Dickys is definitely out. I will NEVER return to this pseudo-restaurant again.
