Really good sandwiches and soup. I can’t tell if they buy or make the soups but they change a lot and are good. Owners are there and are nice and seem to care about what they do. The bread is always really soft. Not sure why /how but it’s good. For a while now they’ve had a pastrami on pretzel special that is outstanding. Recommended.

DONOTRECCOMMEND! If there was an option to give no stars I would. My husband and I are new to the area and are trying different places so we decided to give this place a shot. The first part of this disaster was finding a parking spot/lot to park. After circling the block several times we finally decided to park in the lot across the street. The price was not advertised. But because it was right across the street we figured it was a safe bet. It was $ 16.30 just to park. That alone made me mad. It cost as much as a meal at a nicer restaurant than we were even going. Next: We not more than got to the door at 7:45pm on a Saturday night to realize that the hours advertised were wrong. They ARENOTOPENUNTIL1AM they close at 8 on a late night. And WEREALREADYCLOSED! Finally we proceeded to head down the street to the Old Spaghetti Factory because that is the only near by restaurant within walking distance in the freezing cold. We would have boycotted the whole trip but decided to not let our $ 16.30 be in vain.

My favorite sandwich at Brooklyn deli is always the Thanksgiving sandwich. It has turkey and cranberry sauce and I love it on sourdough bread. I know that they will be moving soon into a new location, & I am excited that they will be able to expand their menu and offer some new options. If you are in downtown Spokane and looking for a great place to grab some lunch, you can’t go wrong with Brooklyn deli. Their staff is friendly and always thankful for your business!

Delicious local spot. The Chicago Reuban is outstanding. Changing locations soon, so they will have more space. I have lived in Spokane a long time, but somehow this gem slipped through the cracks.

Best deli hands down in Spokane. Their pastrami stacker is excellent! Their soup selection is also great. Try the bada Bing soup if it’s on the menu. You won’t be disappointed. Their Parmesan potato kale soup is also delicious!

best Reuben I’ve had since my last trip back east. good dark rye and made real deli style. i had a heated debate about random stuff with one of the staff while we were waiting for our food and I got yelled at for cursing.(my bad) the place is awesome though and it’s the best Reuben I’ve had since my last trip back east. good dark rye and made real deli style. seriously delicious and I’ll definitely be back(I’ll try to control my sailor’s ways next time) just realized the cookies are great too.

Really well priced for food and drinks. They have about 8 different beers on tap, many of which I haven’t seen at other restaurants. They also had live music start at around 8:30! We thought there was going to be trivia, but apparently they haven’t done that in a while. But good space with nice servers.

While I was kinda disappointed with my Tuna Sandwich, I will be back. This is a fun venue tucked beneath a building on Monroe. Cool vibes. Tuna had a really strange flavor, not what i was expecting but good enough that i ate the whole thing :) When i go back, I will definitely be trying something new because i feel like this place has a lot of potential, but I ordered the wrong menu item. Really great bread, tasted so fresh and they let you customize your sandwich however you want, which is a huge bonus for me. I am the queen of customization. Also, want to check out their night scene. Seems like they host some cool events to show off local talent.

I ordered the Pastrami Dip for lunch yesterday while I was at work, and while I wanted to love it, I only kinda liked it. I ordered my sandwich on the Bavarian rye, and it doesn’t taste much like rye at all. I’m from NY, and there is no way these are anything like a sandwich from a deli in Brooklyn. There, I could get Jewish rye, and not spend $ 10 on a freakin sandwich! That is just insane. The au jus that came with it was far too salty, and for this salt lover, that’s saying a lot. I also ordered the salted caramel brownie, which isn’t really a brownie at all. It’s more like a crumbly cookie with fudge on top. Not really impressed at all. The Brooklyn Deli is a misnomer. Change the name, or make the food more like what you’d get in Brooklyn. I’ll probably try it again, but only because my husband wants to. Maybe my next review will be better.

Uggg… I ordered the turkey avocado sandwich on sourdough bread(sounds great, right?) and my mouth got literally board eating it… There was to much bland bread. If this sandwich was a date I would tell it I had to go to the bathroom and sneak out the window. So boring… But 2 stars because the people were nice that made it.

Been going to this place for years! Always exceeds expectations, dine in or dine out. Great variety, specials, oh and they do house made soups as well! Multiple occasions I’ve called in orders late night and received the same awesome quality sandwiches. Best in Spokane by FAR!!! Never stop what you guys are doing down there, so good!

Love the vibe of this place. Such a great place, yummy food, and superb service. Owners were so very authentic, fun and kind. I had the hot turkey melt. Sweet Jesus this was awesome. The sourdough bread is delicious. I ordered the half and it was HUGE! Would hate to have ordered the large because I could have eaten off that for a week. Owner brought us a sample of the tomato soup… man was it good! Really enjoyed our quick visit and would strongly encourage anyone to give it a shot… you wont be disappointed!!!

Great lunch spot. Pastrami stack was excellent. Italian a good choice. The Hawaiian. Pea salad, corn pasta salad, chicken Caesar — all great. Rich decadent brownies. Friendly service. A good go-to choice in downtown Spokane.

I came back around 2 and I’m still going to give 4 stars, however, I was not impressed with the clam chowder. It was very salty and honestly tastes like a cheesy potato soup. Lesson learned. On the flipside the hot turkey sandwich was amazing! They never disappoint with their delicious, big and bold tasting sandwiches! Oh and don’t forget to say hello to the super cute Tori. She is very sweet and knows how to make a great sandwich! Give her a raise!!!

Consistently great sandwiches, I’ve been here at least 10 times and have never had anything bad. Love their toasted hot sandwiches and the signature tomatoe parmesan soup is also a must try. The lounge is also open late and it’s nice to be able to get a sandwich in the later evening hours. Anyone downtown looking for a good deli I send them here!

After seeing the name pop up so many times with checkins by Unilocal friend Kelli C., we decided to drop in for«Linner», a term my daughter and I have for a late lunch/early dinner. We were heartily greeted upon entering. We asked, then was told kindly, that we order at the counter and our food would be brought to our table. There were signs posted warning customers that hot sandwiches may take an additional 15 minutes during busy periods. I I think we waited just over 5 minutes for two half Hawaiian sandwiches, accompanied by bowls of their famous tomato parmesan soup, with no other customers waiting. Their house baked french roll looks a little like flat ciabatta but is it ever so tender and light on the inside, and crispy on the outside! We both chose ham with turkey, and omitted the raw onions. My daughter also forwent her cheese but I had cheddar on my sandwich, which was melted a perfectly gooey. The teriyaki sauce was neither too salty nor overpowering. I’m so glad my daughter had a spare lactose tablet, which enabled me to enjoy both the cheeddar slice and to join her in ordering the truly delicious tomato parmesan soup, nicely thick, creamy, and simply savory! Thanks, Kelli C.
