Oh what a joy to have found Sunshine Landscape and Garden! It is my go to place for all things plant or tree: indoor, outdoor, vegetables, and herbs! Everyone at Sunshine is great; however, Lynn is my gal! She knows EVERYTHING! From choosing for the region/the season, to planting and fertilizing, Lynn is the Albert Einstein of botany. She even successfully suggested the right hardy perennials to put in pots outside of my courtyard last spring… that survived the winter Arctic Blast! Unbelievable! They carry some of the same items as other big name retailers(you know who they are); however, the quality is beyond compare. Sunshine also sells many varieties of plants that you will not find anywhere else. Sunshine’s prices are very comparable to big chains(maybe a couple of dollars more per plant), but whatever you buy will not die within a week of taking them to their new home. I have never been disappointed with anything I’ve purchased from Sunshine or any advice/instruction I have received. After a few tutorials, Lynn and the rest of the Sunshine crew have turned me, the long-lasting black thumb, into someone who actually has a very small, yet thriving garden and beautiful landscaping for my home! I’m a very happy girl! TIP: They are moving this weekend(May 16 – 18, 2014) to a new location on 71. Not too far away from their current location. Oh… and Rico, the parrot, does not like baseball caps. ;-)

Sunshine is one of my favorite garden centers! They have everything you could possibly need for your garden/yard — succulents, native Texas landscaping plants, an amazing fern collection, everything you need to grow a healthy garden, beautiful pots and a large selection of rock for landscaping. The woman who helped me yesterday was so enthusiastic about the plant I bought she drew me a picture of what the bloom would look like once it blooms and gave me a very helpful guide to how to care for the plant! They also have already started tomato plants and now is the perfect time to plant for fall tomatoes! And, they have an awesome pet parrot named Rico in the succulent garden area(see pics)! I will definitely be back! Their website is
