Live right across the street from this place. Have tried it several times hoping it would be better than the last time. Well tonight was the last time. Service is so slow you would think a turtle was waiting on the you. Salsa had a frozen crust on it from being in the refrigerator so long. Fajitas meat was ok, rice and beans where horrible. And they charged me for a couple of extra tortillas to finish my meal. Have given up hope on these folks.

We stopped here on our way home from Pace Bend. It was so yummy my boyfriend had the Avocado Pastor and I had bean & cheese chalupa.

Ordered migas tacos and was disappointed with tortillas filled with bland eggs and soggy chips. No peppers, onions or cheese. :(. We’ve given this place a chance several times and have been consistently unsatisfied.

Not really sure what’s happening here. The food and the service has really dropped off. We use to eat here several times a week, but tonight was our last time. When we got dirty tea glasses and the waitress didn’t seem to care, that did it for us. It’s too bad, because its a hard working family, trying to make a living. Sorry girls, we won’t be back.

Wow… lots too bad that you can’t leave a negative Kelvin rating for this place… the service absolutely SUCKS! My wife and I stopped, on the way back from Austin for a few cocktails and apps… it really is bad that when you sit outside on a nice day and you need to go inside to remind the idiots that they have patrons outside. Queso tastes like its out of a jar. the flour shells are most certainly not homemade, and the ‘Rita’s taste like they bought the mix from Sams Club. This place is on the clock… not even worth stopping to use the restroom on the way back the Spicewood. Not worth stopping… for anything…

Just moved to the area and I’ve tried on three different occasions to eat at this place during the business hours posted on their door. Each time it was closed, no one home. I guess they are so successful that they can just open and close with disregard to posted business hours. I see cars there sometimes, so I know they are still in business. I give up and will just go to the place next door from now on.

Simple, good mexican food at a decent price. Deserving of a spot in your local restaurant rotation if you live in the area. Personally enjoy the enchiladas — they have a great lunch menu. Breakfast tacos are good and cheap, a little on the small side compared to others in the area. I think a lot of the lower ratings come from ideas that this should be a full fledged, full service eatery. Nope. We are not Bee Cave — yet. It’s a local family owned place where the kids help out. Don’t expect more than that and you’ll be fine. Concerning the A/C and Heat — yep, this has been an issue at this location, even when it was the sandwich shop awhile back. Bring a jacket, or avoid the place if you can’t sit in moderately hot or cold locations. Same could be said for Angel’s or many other locations in the area — so not knocking the rating for this, just a note.

I would leave zero stars but it’s not available. The waitstaff absolutely stinks. One of the waitresses actually rolled her eyes when we asked for more chips to go with the queso we ordered, although she had three bowls of chips on her tray when I asked. Asked for a to go cup for the whole bowl of queso that we couldn’t eat because we didn’t have any chips and she brings me the smallest one they have. It’s no wonder that the other Mexican food restaurant(La Cabana) two doors down is always packed. The food is better and the staff is awesome. Never again will you get any of our money.

We checked this place out on our back from camping at Pace Bend park. Good, quick Mexican breakfast and it was exactly what we needed that morning. Very filling.

First time here. We just popped in for a bite before a 7hour drive home. The staff was nice and prompt. The menu on this Sunday was good. Kiddos were happy with their pancakes and enchiladas. Parents were happy with the breakfast menu. Food came out hot and quick and was so good! Would definitely come back.

Food was just okay and service was terrible. The restaurant was also uncomfortably warm. We won’t be going back.

I’ve given this place a few try’s and they fell short every time? Waitstaff seems more interested in flirting with tables already served. Had to flag her down every single time; once had to find the menu after waiting over 10 minutes. I think they really need help! Very rude staff-Do not waste your time, mine is more valuable than chasing down service and food totally sucked! No attention whatsoever.

This place is awesome. no more being stuck with a poor choice in Tex-Mex in 78669. The food here is fantastic, try the Burrito with Al Pastor meat. I haven’t had food this good north of the border. Fantastic Crew and my kids love it.

Gave it try based on Unilocal reviews. Found food to be too light on the fillings and expensive for how little substance was included, compared to most Mexican restaurants. No reason to return.

Always like coming here. Great options with breakfast tacos. Love them here. Salsa is great here. The vegetable burrito is very good here too. Nice little place and we really hope it stays. Good family people run it. Nice neighborhood restaurant. Very reasonable prices. Great guacamole too. Our kids also love the adult quesadilla here.

We come to Pace Bend several times a year(well, more than several — we should just buy a place really). We are always looking for a good place for breakfast on the way to Reimer’s Ranch in the mornings. I’m a fan of breakfast taco and migas. We saw this place had taken up shop in the old pizza place and saw they were open for breakfast — score! The first time we stopped in here they said they ‘should’ be open, but no one was to be found. So we sadly pulled away and went on down the road. We stopped in again the next time we camped and found them open and waiting for their first customer(on Easter morning). You could tell this was a family run joint, because our sweet little waitress didn’t seem old enough to drive. However she was very friendly and attentive. I ordered coffee and I had the migas plate. It was pretty typical food. I wasn’t wowed by it, but wasn’t disappointed either. The coffee wasn’t the best, but I usually drink espresso … so hard to compare really. It was too early in the morning for me to try chips n salsa, but maybe next time since they have such good reviews. Overall, we might stop in here again to grab some taco to go if we don’t want to drive all the way into Bee Cave.

This is an ok little spot, the people were super friendly, I wasn’t overly impressed with the quality of the food but it seemed pretty authentic. The chips and salsa were excellent!

My husband and I live in the area and are super excited to have this little gem in the neighborhood. We’ve been several times for breakfast and lunch. Never had a bad experience. The food is wonderful and the people are sweet as can be! Favorites: Tacos Al Pastor for lunch and Chorizo Egg and Cheese Tacos for breakfast. They were BYOB last time we stopped in, but should have a liquor license soon. Gotta cut this review short — Just writing this has made me seriously crave those tacos. Good thing they’re only a few minutes away! Cheers!

Place is kinda lacking. Food was not good. One waitress was trying her best. Once was enough for us.

Ive got a fever, and the only thing that satisfy it is more Caldo! ;) A great gluten free option here. If they would offer homemade gluten free tortollas and chips, we would become regulars. Super friendly, gracious service. Homemade food. Keep up the great work guys!
