Best pizza in sperryville. Also the only pizza in sperryville. Good stuff. Definitely does the trick of a good quick slice

Surprisingly good. We came in here after a long, cold day and weren’t expecting much, but the pizza was hot and tasty. They served a somewhat generic but technically capable New York-spectrum pizza, but it was somewhat hampered by toppings that were of lesser quality than the rest of the ensemble. Coming in from a hike or staying the night? Check it out!

Why would a carry-out restaurant stop taking carry-out orders 2 hours before they close! Very rude and inconsiderate phone manners to boot! BADRUDY!!!

We ordered a pizza and a salad. Salad was very good. Pizza was very good. Odd setting, it is connected to a «general store» and the bathrooms are in the fancy dining restaurant 2 doors away. Weird. But the food was good and this is what I am rating it on.

Rudy’s Pizza was wonderful. After a long day of hiking at Old Rag Mountain, a large pizza and a bottle of wine was perfect to relax and have some awesome conversations. The place is very peaceful. The staff are great and courteous. Everyone that walks is very friendly. I have been here 3 times before and will continue to make it my spot when in he area. I highly recommend it. Jose

This place rocks! We came here after a hike in Shenandoah– tired and super hungry. All the menu choices looked good… We ordered a house salad(Greek dressing was on point), and the Rock Mills pizza. It was tasty, fresh, and cooked perfectly. Nothing is frozen either, I watched someone make our food. If you’re in the area, don’t pass this one up!

This place hit the spot!!! Delicious and quality pizza for a good price! My girlfriend and I just finished hiking at the shenandoah national park and we both both where pretty hungry. We stopped by the first place we found and it happened to be this great gem! The pizza was prepared to order and came out fairly quick. It was fresh and flavorful and the customer service was great. No complains about this place and I would definitely recommend it!

Their cheese pizza is, without a doubt, the best cheese pizza I’ve ever had. Perfect for a quick bite after hiking Old Rag or stopping at some vineyards. Grab a pie and put some«Chile Man» hot sauce on it(you can find it in the Sperryville store next door). Take a seat upstairs and breathe in that good old country air.

Good pizza, fast service, interesting combos. I had a few times where the pizza was a little undercooked but I just brought it home and threw it in the oven and all was well. It’s nice to have something like this in a small town that isn’t just boring country-bumpkin food. I recommend it for anytime you don’t feel like cooking or are hungover.

We spent the day just cruising Rt. 211 and found this pizza place. We are very impressed with the taste and quality of their pizza. We might just drive back this weekend for some more delicious pizza.

A fine establishment. Had to check this place out after we saw the«Best Pizza in Sperryville» sign.(It’s the only pizza in Sperryville, so I assume it’s meant to be funny.) We split a small pie for dinner(half Meat Lovers and half Old Rag). Both types were dynamite. Friendly employees too. We’ll definitely be back.

I saw lots of great reviews for this place, so I thought I would give my husband a break from all the wineries we were visiting and do something he would be interested in. We arrived at 12:30 on a Saturday(3⁄16), and tours are usually only done at the top of the hour, so we figured we would be waiting. However, as soon as I stepped out of the bathroom, we were informed that our tour was ready to go. It was me, my husband, and our tour guide, whose name I forgot — much to my disappointment. He was fabulous, and I wish I could remember his name to give him some thanks on here. He first brought us over to a stand, where he showed us the various types of products they make — Rye and SIngle-Malt, and both in spirit form so that you can take some home and brew it in a mini-barrel if your heart desires. We were able to then see the full production process from start to finish. We even got to smell the fermenter; that was an experience! There aren’t any tastings, but you can buy the product there. We bought a bottle of the Rye, which is very good. I wish we would had also bought the barrel to make our own, as I feel that would have been a fun project. This place is a great stop out in Sperryville, and the tour takes about a half hour and is complimentary. Again, our guide was fabulous. We learned a lot and had fun doing so!

The perfect place to end a long day of hiking in Shenandoah! Sure, it’s tiny and there may not be anywhere to sit, but grab a beer and wait. It’s worth it. The pizza is delicious– non-greasy and loaded with veggies and/or meat. The crust is perfect every time. The large is massive, and the personal is plenty for one person. The service is great and reasonably fast, and they’ll make your pizza any way you want it. Any visit to the area is incomplete without a visit to Rudy’s!

I left DC and moved back home to Brooklyn since my previous review. So, I eat home pizza on the regular. Was at our family place in Rappahannock County 2 weeks ago. We were celebrating and having hooplah that weekend and decided to get a few pies. It’s a BIG deal to choose to eat pizza in the South while on a weekend visit from NYC. My pizza needs are ridiculously picky and as always, Rudy’s came through. We ordered a coupla salads as well and they were fresh and delicious. AND, the nice, cute pizza maker helped me and carried the pies out to the car! What’s to say. Fantastic spot.

I drove up from Alabama for the holidays and had a small cheese pizza(the optimal pie for comparison). I’ve been to Brooklyn and Italia, yada yada yada… this is good pizza! The crust is crunchy, but soft and warm inside. Their sauce is homemade as well as dough. Every pie here is handcrafted with care and there’s a personable atmosphere here. Beer selection in the adjacent building is outstanding. A hole in the wall gem in this quaint town nestled in the Blue Ridge. You DCites should not pass this place up when hiking Old Rag. Seating is limited, but the manager said they are renovating for MUCH more seating this winter. Once word gets out, this place is going to need all the seating they can get!

When you walk up to Rudy’s, a tiny(& I mean TINY) little storefront spot in the equally tiny little town of Sperryville, there’s a sign in the window that states«Best Pizza in Sperryville». The only reason that’s true is because it’s the ONLY pizza in Sperryville! This place is definitely in the running for the worst pizza we’ve ever had. After reading the Unilocal reviews, the Saturday before last decided to take an early evening drive out there to try some pizzas. The moon was coming up over the beautiful autumn-colored mountains, & the drive was really nice. «Rudy’s» is part of a small storefront right where Rte. 522 runs into Sperryville proper. This storefront includes«The Thornton River Grille», a small convenience/grocery store, & «Rudy’s», which are all«attached» inside as well. You can stroll from one to the other indoors through the back. «Rudy’s» itself is the epitome of tiny. Only 4 small tables. In fact, there’s even a sign that states«Occupation of more than 10 people is.. .. uncomfortable». Which it definitely would be. We ordered 2 «small» pies to go — one with mushrooms & one of their«special» pies — the«Mediterranean», containing feta cheese, sliced black olives, diced tomato, & quartered artichoke hearts. Our bill came to $ 30 + change!!! Once home, supreme disappointment reigned. Husband’s mushroom pie contained — & I kid you not — exactly THREE tiny slices of mushroom per slice. It was ridiculous. And even though I didn’t taste it, husband said that it had a strange aftertaste that he didn’t care for. My pie was just as strange, but in a different way. It was liberally covered with the appropriate toppings, but was completely — & I mean COMPLETELY — flavorless. I’ve never in my life seen so much feta that was so devoid of taste — not even salt! Every single ingredient was completely lifeless. Neither one of us finished our pies, & it’s the first time ever that we’ve ever thrown leftover pizza right into the trash. Since there really aren’t a lot of dining spots in Sperryville, we «might» try again if we ever find ourselves in the area around mealtime, but we’d really have to be desperate since our hometown of Culpeper(just about 40 minutes away) has so many better options.

We tried their pizza for the first time and we are wishing we had tried it sooner! It is fresh, loaded with toppings, but light and filling at the same time. A lot of pizza sits in your gut like a rock, but not this pizza… it fills you up without making you feel like you over did it. We had the works pizza and it was awesome! Great after a day of hiking.
