I was pleasantly surprised after visiting here. I needed a simple updo for a black tie gala event. I paid $ 25, and while I thought a student would be doing it, the instructor did it all while everyone watched and took note. I warned that I didn’t want prom. I’d say the result was maybe 5% prom-ish, but it worked very well with my dress and I was happy for the amount I paid.

What a disappointment! Visited recently with a couple of friends to get pedicures. I was seated in a chair with broken foot support so I had to hold my legs up for the entire pedicure which was very uncomfortable not to mention more like a work out than a pleasant relaxing experience. Although the instructors came over several times to chat pleasantly they failed to instruct the students performing our pedicures on the proper procedure. I understand as a school that the work may not be up to par with that of a salon but it seemed like the students didn’t have any idea of the sequence of steps involved in a pedicure. The nails on one foot were never clipped or filed, neither foot had the cuticles pushed back, the french polish job wasn’t even close to professional. I had remarked that normally the students at the other school in town would create a nice professional white line by dipping a small brush in remover and going over the jagged painted edge but the student informed me that she could paint a pretty straight line so she never bothered with doing that! Well it definitely shows! I could have done better myself… what a disappointment! It’s a beautiful facility, the instructors were friendly, they were prompt getting my group back to the chairs to start work but from there it was downhill… I won’t be going back.
