We just recently tried the dry muscadine and it was wonderful. We look forward to trying the other selections.

Courson’s Winery down in Sparta is probably the best thing to happen to Hancock County. They offer up some fine Georgia wine, sale wine making supplies, fresh jams, honey, candles, and other hard to find homemade products. All of their products are local and the vineyard is just down the road from the winery. This past weekend I visited Courson’s Winery to pick up a few bottles of their wine. When we walked in we were greeted with a friendly southern manner and offered a tasting of the wines that are available. We ended up getting bottles of plum, blackberry, and white scuppernog wines. All of their wines are delicious and made right there at the winery. Here is a list of the wines that they sale: White Scuppernong — a crisp, semi-dry table wine. Red Muscadine — a semi-sweet table wine. Our second best-seller! Blush — a sweet muscadine blend. Our best seller! Apple — a subtle, clean-tasting table wine. Peach — traditional peach wine, reminiscent of your grandmother’s homemade wine! Pear — our newest wine. Blackberry — a tart and sweet wine. Hugely popular! Plum — a sweet and smooth wine. Late Harvest Muscadine — our famous dessert wine! So, if you ever find yourself driving along highway 22 in Sparta, make sure you stop by Courson’s for some good ol’ Georgia wine!
