Not utilizing this facility is is a big mistake. Big. Huge. Why I have taken so long to come back is beyond me. The clean and obviously quiet environment is perfect for those that are tired of being couped up on your computer or device. Come here and surround yourself with a multitude of knowledge while on your computer or device. The ladies that work here are nice also…

I don’t know why I haven’t reviewed my favorite library before today, but here it goes! I love this library for several reasons: It has one of the best designs of all of the area libraries, some of the friendliest staff, a drive-up window for dropping off and even picking up held items, wonderful free programs and events, many computers for your use, free wifi, lots of comfortable seating throughout, a great selection and if they don’t have what you want… just use the library hold system where they get materials from any of the other area libraries and bring them conveniently to you… even to the drive-up window I mentioned before, and the list could go on. We have loved this library ever since it was built. Yes, there is an issue with getting on and off Pyramid Hwy if you are planning on going the opposite direction than the entrance or exit is wanting you to as another reviewer mentioned, but that was decided by the county for some unknown reason. You just have to be calm and go with the flow… and not attempt an illegal u-turn ON Pyramid Hwy in the middle of traffic like a lot of people do… just saying… ;)

I am seriously sitting in the Spanish Springs Library posting a review for the Spanish Springs Library — I think that’s fun. Anyhow, this isn’t the closest library to my home but it’s my favorite. It’s QUIET which is the most important thing for me. Several other libraries have kids running around or(worse) adults talking to each other or to the employees. It’s also very clean and has a great layout. My only gripe would be the public computers are down in the computer desks so you have to look down to see your screen and type which, if you use the computer for ½ hour or so, will start to impact your neck — your neck should not be bent when you are typing. The screen is also pretty far away which causes eye strain as well — maybe I’m just overly bias since I’m a typing fanatic. Great parking, lovely building.

Technically, if a building has four walls, some books, a couple computers and some children’s programs it’s worthy of calling itself a library. But this isn’t just a library, this building is absolutely stunning and boasts one of the coolest designs of any library I’ve ever visited. The employees are helpful(mostly, I’m looking at you heavy sigher with the short brown hair and glasses. You chose to work in the children’s section) and they have a huge selection of books and periodicals. It’s really well organized and clean and has a ton of natural light flooding in. I love coming here but only between the hours of 11 am and 2 pm – in other words, before all Spanish springs hell breaks loose. –Okay, this is where the guy with nothing to complain about starts complaining about stuff– There is one major underlying problem with this library – this library is in a terrible location. It actually couldn’t be worse. It doesn’t serve the area well being right on the autobahn, aka Pyramid Highway, aka I’ll tailgate you till you move out of my way Highway. One of the major problems is that you can only make a right turn to get back out onto Pyramid highway. No left turns. Seriously? Who designed this and thought that was appropriate? For safety’s sake please put in a traffic light! For some reason Spanish Springs drivers don’t like to apply their brakes until they reach their driveways so it’s a little like a game of chicken to visit this library. A stop light or at least a reduced speed area with flashing lights would help this library and its patrons immensely. Also with the Lazy 5 park located just behind it – why has no one considered this yet? I like this library a lot. It’s a beautiful design with helpful, skilled employees, but I still can’t help thinking that they built this in a terrible location and for terrible drivers. No offense. Well – a little offense.

I have been to this library a few times. Usually, to pick up a book for my children. Every time I go the staff are always very helpful and friendly. It’s a good size library with a nice children’s section.

Great library, lots of computers for the kids. The staff was helpful and friendly. My daughter loves her library card that is in her name. Nice new building.
