Really, the only flaw is the construction; if your neighbors don’t yak into the night you’ll have a great stay. It was built before the current owners got it, so thin walls and creaky floors are not their fault. I’d return even being sensitive to noise. But can’t give five stars due to that shortcoming.

My husband found this place on another site. It had such great reviews, I couldn’t believe it had no Unilocal reviews. So here is mine:
There are some places that are worth the expense and then there are those places that are worth the inexpense. If that makes sense to you, then you probably spend too much money, like me! Anyway, I was skeptical, but my husband was sure it was going to be great and it was. The motel sits right off the ocean, so the view is great. Its rooms span the width of the motel, so you can open windows on both sides of your rooms to get a nice sea breeze flowing. The room was decorated very «motel like», but I’m ok with that as long as I am comfortable. The bed was firm and the bedding soft. We slept very well. The shower was hot and there was plenty of room for two people to move about (some places are so small I start pushing my poor hubby around). The breakfast was also good! Choices of cereal, yogurt, and breads. Good coffee and fruit. Also, the individuals who work here are very friendly and there is a pet cat at the motel. His name is Speed Bump and he tolerated my petting with grace. Just watch out for him because we caught him laying near the parking area. If we are ever in Maine again, we will definitely stay here!
