I have had their pizza which I enjoyed many times. The one ordered may 15 was the worst pizza I ever had. It was like eating a slice of cardboard. I will never order another pizza from dry street

Walked in and was just a bit confused as to whether they served alcohol or not. We got it figured out thanks to a great bartender. The dishwasher boy got up abruptly and left to finish his lunch as I sat down beside him leaving me wondering if I had offended him somehow. The bartender who I think may be the owner assured me it was okay. She left to the bank. After my first beverage I ordered a second and the dishwasher boy and an older guy started talking loudly and laughing about how I was confused in the kitchen within a few feet from the bar counter so I could hear them clearly. The girls were all great and not surprisingly the boys were very immature. Grow up. I left a full beer on the counter because of this and still tipped because although I was dressed down when I visited I am very professional and have class. Not a good first impression.

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat. Ordered pizza & salad. The staff was very friendly and the vegi pizza was the absolute best pizza I have ever had. It was loaded with fresh vegetables. The crust was fresh & homemade. The salad dressing was homemade & delicious. It’s a small hole in the wall place with great food!!!

Ehhh. Just had lunch. Pizza was definitely frozen. Kinda like bowling ally pizza but more expensive. Anyone who says this pizza is delicious, doesn’t know what good pizza tastes like. The older guy serving was a bit weird, almost insulting. Gave it 2 stars because he was slightly funny in a very awkward way.

Been going there all my life, but the new anti firearm sign isn’t something I can stomach. Some of us have military experience and are very lawful and responsible firsts owners who have been in a situation where we needed protection and didn’t have it. I get to some extent where they are coming from, but it’s very one sided and ignorant. Not every gun carrying person is a nut who wants to show off who should be ashamed of being lawful.

This is an old house that has been rebuilt into a small restaurant. Leave the dogs at home. You can dine on the porch or in the main rooms. A waitress will come to you. They specialize in pizza and their subs are quite good. You feel like you’re at someone’s moms house, but you’re glad that mom can cook. I suggest the roast beef sandwich and a nice tall glass of iced tea. Too bad it comes in Styrofoam. But it’s good! The servers may not be very prompt but Its hard to make people work in a beach town when they are young and want to go have fun. :-(LOL Reasonably priced and convenient to shopping it’s a great place to stop for a slice, sub or just some tea.

I have no idea how this doesn’t have 5 stars all the way across the board! This place was adorable and delicious! I can’t wait to be back in town to eat here again! The service was GREAT and speedy and the food was amazing! It’s rare to find a place where people seem to be genuinely good people. Also the brownies they sell in there are life changing.

We used to go here several timed every time we came to Southport. We found the food to be good, but the service lacking, if you needed a refill of your drink you often had to take it to the server station to get service. We stopped patronizing this establishment when they banished all law abiding citizens who practice their second amendment rights under the US constitution. If you obey the law and practice your second amendment right, visit the other fine restaurants in Southport that respect you and welcome you in their establishments. Unilocal, this post specifically describes my experience as a customer of this business until they banished all who exercise their rights under the US Constitution.

Excellent food with homemade or homegrown ingredients! Reuben was so good! I had ham and cheese. Next time we are definitely going to try the pizza!

We come here often and are rarely disappointed. The specials are always interesting and I don’t recall ever getting a less than delicious bowl of soup. Last trip we shared the crab Dip and I had the special balsamic Vinegerett Pizza. Both were quite tasty. For a casual meal they are hard to beat.

Labor Day @ 1 pm. My 2nd visit in 25 years. First time was 1 ½ hours waiting for a pizza with a toddler. This time we four ordered two spinach salads and an open faced tuna melt. The owner served us, without apology, 30 minutes later. In fact, holding all 4 plates in her 2 hands, she asked one of us «to grab one for her.» Southern hospitality? $ 2 lemonade, no free refills. Not that anyone checked on us. Waited 15 more minutes and bussed our table to hint that we wanted the Homemade cobbler we pre-ordered with our meals. I gave up and went to the bar, found one waitress hanging out with 2 cute dudes. Saw the owner in back at the sink, running her mouth to another waitress. Some folks swear by this place, I swear at it. Food is fine. Spinach salad comes in 2 sizes and is good. But get take-out, ordered in advance.

If you like frozen pizza and horrible sandwiches this is the place for you. The pizza was frozen cheese and they just placed the toppings on top. The pizza was not even cooked after they topped it. The pastrami sandwich I had was lacking pastrami. Considering they call themselves a pub, they do not have any beers on tap and have a selection of 8 bottles. On top of the horrible food the service was not much better. If a server only takes your order and doesn’t even bring the food out or see how you are doing, they should not expect a very good tip… Will not return, and will warn others not to do so as well

We love Dry Street! We mostly go for lunch and salad/subs, but also order pizza for dinner from time to time. Their salads are especially nice, I think. They make their dressing in house from scratch, and the spinach salad with honey vinaigrette is my favorite. If you’re in the mood for soup they have a house made soup-of-the-day, which of course changes everyday, but I’ve never been disappointed by. It’s a local place, and they will make you feel at home whether you’re local or not. Oh, when you order your sub be sure to ask for the tomatoes and sprouts, they don’t automatically come with each sandwich. It’s a good place to take kids, too. They have a small porch-ish type side room and we generally try to sit there, that way my 2 year old can sort of run around a little without bothering anyone else much. The only thing I don’t recommend is ordering pizza by the slice. Two of the three times I’ve done that for my son it’s sort of been over cooked and he wouldn’t eat it. I definitely recommend Dry Street!

Excellent!!! If you want pizza in Southport then go here. We ordered the margarita pizza and it was the best margarita pizza I have ever had. They have white sauce and tomato sauce pizzas. Very clean, great service. My only complaint is that the inside is small and needs to be redone… But this takes away nothing from the food! Amazing!

We decided yesterday afternoon that we wanted pizza for dinner, what we couldn’t decided was whether we wanted a 12″ or 16″! Well my hubby called it in after he got off work and we got the 12″. When he got home with it, it was gone so fast we wished we had the 16″! The pizza was great, I can’t speak for anything else though. We have had the pizza from Dry Street twice and both times it has been devoured. Hopefully sometime we will actually get to go to the restaurant and sit down for a better review, but for now this will have to do.

Really good pizza and chicken pita sandwich! It hits the spot for lunch. All the food was freshly made! The service is slow and you have to pay at the counter, which I was sitting there waiting for the waitress to come and take my credit card. It is worth it, you are on an island and it is slow pace!!!

Great, typical Southport eclectic dining. Small but cozy… good sandwiches and«light fair» pizza. Won’t break the bank!

I’ve only ever had sandwiches here so I cannot comment on the pizza. It definitely has a very casual feel to it, more like a carry-out kind of place and a sit-down meal place, but the food is decent. I had the meatball sub and we ordered the tomato bread appetizer. Both were a little boring… nothing special. There’s not a whole lot of choice in the Southport area so if you want pizza or sandwiches, then this is a decent place to stop given the lack of other options.

Located in a small house this place is the hotspot at lunchtime in downtown Southport. Everyone here seems to know everyone but as a newbie you still feel welcome. On this visit I decided to get two things, a slice of their cheese pizza and their most popular sandwich, which was actually a wrap. The pizza slice arrived first. I should have known better by having made pizza throughout my college years that you never go with just a slice when trying a new pizza shop/parlor as the slice can be dry w/waxy cheese(it is all about how you reheat it). Sure enough this slice was dry. I blame the dryness on the place being busy as it tasted like the forgotten slice. But despite the dryness you could taste that it came from a once really good pizza. So, do not let this cheese slice review dissuade you from trying their pizza. I just recommend purchasing it as a whole pie. The chicken pita wrap was very good! I could taste why it was the most popular sandwich/wrap. All the ingredients tasted fresh and of good quality. It consisted of sliced roasted chicken, pesto mayonnaise, mozzarella, spinach, apple smoked bacon and roasted red peppers(mine sans mayo). This was all pressed together and served warm. I thought the chicken in particular was very good, as it tasted minimally processed. A thumbs up on this dish. Overall, I would definitely try this place again. I will opt for a small pizza on that visit just to see if my instincts about the pie’s tastiness are true. I think I will prove myself correct.
