The Toy Maven

It was a crisis situation in the toy store!
My grandson was having a melt down because he couldn’t get a new toy… he had already been in earlier in the day with Grandpa and gotten a new toy. Now it was his sister’s and cousin’s turn to pick out their new toys and he was miserable waiting for them. being tortured by having to look at a store full of things he couldn’t have. When along came Mary… a wonderful store employee who saved the day!
Mary had lots of kid charm and calmed the situation with amazing skill. She even opened one of the boxed toys… added batteries and let him play with it all around the store to see if maybe he would like to choose that one, the next time he was allowed to pick a toy.
It was an amazing attitude change! His tears and ugly words were replaced with a smile and a confident plan for next time!
Mary went way above and beyond to help a 5 year old little boy whom she could have just as easily ignored. Instead her caring words and child redirection have made both me and my grandchildren devout customers! Customer Service like that is a rare and valuable thing to find and deserves to be applauded!
Oh… and the toy selection is excellent! High quality items that will last and last!

Multiple negative experiences with this store due to ALL employees being clueless and inexperienced and sometimes only socializing. I prefer to shop somewhere where I can have my questions met with actual answers rather than ‘I’m not sure’ or ‘Hmmm’.
PLEASE hire anyone over the age of sixteen or have your store supervised by someone with actual knowledge.
Look for great customer care and a large selection of toys and baby items across the street @ either The Owls Nest or Whole Earth Provision.

Needed a gift on the way to kid’s birthday party.
I was impressed by the selection (with a good range of prices too), but even more impressed by the staff’s knowledge of toy’s and what might appeal to the gender and age we were buying for. After a little bit off looking we had a gift in hand (Transparent Marble Run).
The Toy Maven also has a small selection of greeting cards, so that’s two items with one stop.
To top things off our purchase was gift-​wrapped for free.
We’ll definitely keep The Toy Maven in mind for future purchases.
