Stride Rite No 1558

Went today to buy my daughter some new shoes. It was hectic but that is only because it was tax free weekend (my bad I forgot about it being this weekend) The staff was nice. My only problem was that it seemed every shoe I wanted to buy they didn’t have my daughters size. All and all a good experience. I will be coming back.

The first time I visited this store, we were greeted by a sweet woman w a head dress. She was incredibly helpful and so good w my toddlers. Mannnnnnnn. I miss her!
Today we walked in and were greeted by an incredibly rude woman who rather than saying «hello» greeted us by saying «let’s get them measured.» Hum… No. Let’s not. I know their size because I was just here dropping MONEY FOR TWO KIDS in your store LAST WEEK!
When I picked out my shoes and was being helped by a more courteous young woman (though she asked me repeatedly «are you going to actually buy these or do you want to just see them?)… I was informed that because they didn’t have my size in the store, they were unable to check if the size was available online or at another store because they were very busy. That I could buy the shoes in the current size or GO HOME AND ORDER ONLINE.
Is this MARS?
Folks. Stay away from this store. Horrrrrrible customer service.
Will be reaching out to the owner. Shame shame shame. Lost 1 valuable customer for EVER.

We really like this shoe store for my kiddo. We usually can get my daughter a pair of shoes that will last and keep in good sturdy shape during the time we buy it till she out grows it. I’ve only ever seen one pair of stride rites get torn up quickly but I think it was the little boy wearing them picking at the light up Spider-​Man face constantly.
I will admit they can be pricy for children’s shoes, but I have lucked out a couple times and gotten a pair for $ 20. But I have learned in the last year you can get the cheaper target shoes for your 5 year old but plan on ending up buying another pair in 6 months due to wear vs size change.
The staff here has always been nice and extremely helpful. They always check size and fit to make sure you get the best bang for your buck.
