Both hostess were very friendly and accommodating. Waiter was helpful and flawless in getting our order correct and quick plus my 19 month old daughter enjoyed the atmosphere. Will be back and recommend.

Great pizza! Had the pepperoni and sausage pizza and it was good! I thought it could have been better but defiantly coming back here again! Also it is pretty expensive!

I would say the service here is great! We have a very nice server named Adam, he is very prompt to bring me refills.(Awesome) but kinda pricy and the pizza wasn’t as good as I thought. I’v heard a lot about this place and tried it once before and I can’t say it lived up to expectations. But great service

Service was good. Wasn’t crowded at all, décor and atmosphere is good. Food tasted delicious. We moved here from nashville and were very happy to see mellow mushroom here. Pizza is awesome, tho a tad expensive. Met our expectations abd satisfied our upscale pizza cravings!

Kind of disappointed in my experience here. Decided to try it with a friend to see if it was any good since it’s right by my house. I was glad to see they had vegan cheese and gluten free crust for their pizzas, however, the overall experience wasn’t that great. When I ordered my pizza, the server didn’t ask me what size I wanted so I assumed it would be a small because I’m 1 small person not sharing with anyone. I also ordered the gluten free crust and the vegan cheese. He ended up bringing me a medium(which there was no way I could eat all that by myself) and there was very little cheese on the pizza which I paid an extra $ 2.65 or something for. The pizza was $ 20 itself plus the cheese charge which I thought was absolutely outrageous for a pizza that quality and size. And to top it all off, I know this isn’t their fault, but according to their menu online each slice of pizza for a medium is over 400 calories. Which makes the whole pizza 3200 calories. I’m very sad that I didn’t have a better experience because I was very optimistic about it, but I won’t ever be going back.

For a chain pizza place that doesn’t do pizza the way it was intended, I dig MM. The pizza is actually quite good. I recommend the Holy Shitake. What puts his place over the top for me, however, is the extensive rotating list of craft beers. If you’re trapped in the ‘burbs, this is your oasis.

My family met another here for dinner and we each had two kids. The place is really nice looking, decorated well and feels good. My negative is that it is too expensive for what you get. My Greek salad was nothing special at all and a large pizza my family shared was over $ 25. The pizza was quite good but too expensive in my opinion. Great beer selection!

Our family loves this place and tonight was no exception. We typically go on Monday nights(half price appetizers and drafts), but today was an exception for their birthday party. They had the same discounts plus great pizza deals. Every time we come we always get the same thing — parmesan garlic pretzels with beer cheese, pepperoni pizza, and sometimes the thai wings. Everything is always great. Our kids are 3.5 and 5 and are the perfect age here. We don’t feel like misfits when our kids freak out because their crayon broke! We all agree that the pretzels are the favorite item, but the pizza is good too. With just a one topping, it’s very affordable. Some waitstaff will ask if we want half slices, which is the most fantastic idea in the history of pizza ever for families with little kids. But for those who forget to ask, we end up sawing the slices in half with our wimpy knives. Beer selection is awesome. We love their commitment to local brews. Think of the growler station at Central Market, but at a restaurant. So delicious every time. Service is always good, but sometimes the food is slower than others. Rarely has this been a problem for us, and again our kids are not too patient. The coloring helps, as well as watching them toss the pizza dough in the air and braid the pretzels. We love Mellow an always look forward to returning soon.

Heard so much hype about this place, finally went to try it! My friend and I ordered half a hoagie and sat there for 45 minutes. Our drink order was wrong and they were out of multi grain rolls. Finally someone came to the table apologizing for the wait but the sandwich was still not ready! We asked for to-go boxes because of the ridiculous wait. Another table next to us did the same thing because their order never got made and there was only a total of 6 tables with customers. I won’t be returning there! The food is not worth the wait or the money.

I love their crust and am very happy that they offer so many options but… Every time I order the mega veggie, they forget the sundried tomatoes.(First time was at a MM in a different town and she said that they don’t put sundried tomatoes on the mega veggie, then we reviewed the menu). I love sundried tomatoes… they add a lot of zing to the pizza. Usually I order in-house and they take it back and add them… five times now at this location. Today, for National Pizza Day, I ordered to-go and FORGOT to check before I left. Yep. No sundried tomatoes. What’s up with that?

Had dinner here with a few friends recently, what a fun place to eat! This restaurant, as you might expect, is stoner themed, so lots of trippy colors and objects on the walls and a really fun atmosphere! My only(non-)complaint is that the restaurant is kind of small and was PACKED and noisy while we were there, but it’s also nice to know that other customers appreciate their food! Our pizza was AMAZING. Seriously, it was probably one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. The texture and flavor of the crust was perfectly chewy and everything you want a pizza crust to be. They’re not shy on the toppings or the cheese! We also shared some pretzels, those were great too and you can watch them being twisted behind the counter from your table. I would’ve given 5 stars but we ordered a few drinks from the bar and they weren’t very good. Not a huge deal but the drinks were too pricey to taste terrible!

If you’re looking for a different place from your average pizza joint, mellow mushroom is a great place. I had their pizza, half BBQ chicken and half Thai. The BBQ chicken was better I would have to say and the Thai was different. The second time I came I got a burger and strangely enough, it was perfect. I dislike heavy greasy burgers, but this one was juicy and didn’t make me feel heavy afterwards. What I loved the most was the roasted potatoes. Can’t wait to back a second time!

I thought the pizza was great! Had the veggie lovers small($ 13) and it would’ve easily fed 2, but my fat ass ate the whole thing because it was so good! Friend got the kosmic($ 12.50) and it looked delicious. Crust was perfect. Service was excellent! Petite blond was our waitress and she was super friendly and attentive. Was definitely worth it. We will return.

This place was too expensive for some decent pizza :(It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t anything extravagant. The pizza was definitely fresh so that was good but I wish it had really wowed me. The environment is very much like a stoner place. Didn’t like that vibe, I know that’s what the restaurant is for but I wish it could have at least been more affordable I would have come back.

I typically prefer Pizza that is a really thin crust and oven baked. One of my favorite places to get pizza is a small Restaurant/Brewery in Johnson City, Texas. I received an offer in the mail as an introduction to the Mellow Mushroom giving me $ 10 off my bill. I was expecting yet another average to mediocre pizza place. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall in the Southlake/Grapevine neighborhood from the outside. However, the restaurant is a very trendy place with a 70’s model VW bus that has been turned into a cool dinning table that seems to be a hit with the younger crowd. They offer a nice covered area for those who wish to dine outside and watch a game on the outdoor TV’s. They offer an impressive selection of both bottled and beers on tap. For those who prefer something other than beer, don’t worry they have a full service bar. My only downer with the bar selection is not having Garrison Brothers Bourbon. A local Texas Bourbon that is really smooth. Now for the service\menu\food. This is where the restaurant pushed themselves into the 5 star rating. Something that I rarely offer. Coming from a hospitality background I take my reviews seriously and I rate many businesses with 4 stars but you really have to go above and beyond to get a 5 star rating. That includes the cleanliness of the bathroom and service areas. If they don’t maintain clean restrooms, I question the cleanliness of the kitchen. The restaurant offers a wide variety of appetizers. The Pretzels were extremely appetizing. I ordered a salad that was very good. The salad came in half orders and full. I chose the half order which was very generous. The pizza selection is very impressive. The meat lovrrs was the pizza I settled on and it was by far the best pizza I have had in the metroplex. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu, but more importantly she had a very good knowledge of the various beers. Another plus for those who are Gluten free… they have a large selection of gluten free items. The restrooms were very clean and was fully stocked with toilet tissue, hand towels and hand soap. This is the biggest issue that keeps many businesses from getting 5 stars. If the establishment is not keeping the area clean and well stocked. I know that the employees are not washing there hands. I can’t tell you how many times I have seen staff at a restaurant come out of the restroom and find that it has no soap. The restaurant is a MUST do if you are looking for great food.

The theme of this fine establishment is certainly mellow. The pizza selection caters to about every consumer. Meat lovers and Vegans alike. Full bar. Excellent choice of local draft beers. My daughter ordered to Mac and cheese. It’s $ 5.50 for Mac and cheese, apples, and a drink. We disappointed with the tiny bowl of Mac. An adult could have inhaled it with one bite! I think I’m more complaining about the portion because it was soooooooo good. We wanted more! Pizza was excellent. We got the yummy pretzels that make in house with the beer cheese. Oh my!!! Staff was precious and very attentive. If the kids weren’t with us, we might of had to try the«mushrooms». Just kidding. It’s a mellow mushroom kind of day!

The vibes in the place are chill and can be a great place to take refuge after a long work week. Vegan friendly, check. Gluten friendly, check. Meat lover friendly, check. Recommended pizza: Mighty Meaty– Red sauce base with mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, ham and Applewood smoked bacon. As delicious as it sounds. Be sure to order some extra marinara or other favorite sauce to dip your crust in! I’d have to say sitting in the bar, they had some really great craft beers, including Prairie, Blood & Honey, and others on draft. The barmaid knew her beers well and steered us in the right direction when we were unable to decide. For the dieters: Mellow Mushroom also has a «Skinny Shroom» menu for offerings less than 600 calories. Definitely coming back to this joint. (Ha, see what I did there?)

Well any place that has gluten-free pizza and vegan cheese is Tops for me. It was good. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the environment. The decorations were really funky and fun. The mushroom pizza is what we had minus the cheese and dairy and it was still delicious.

Mellow Mushroom has officially qualified for an upgrade! Is it still a sanitized version of the Austin location? Yes. Will you still have to fight off hoards of Southlake-ians if you come during peak hours? Absolutely. However! What I did not realize at the time of my last posting was that Mellow Mushroom has a beer club! And at 85 beers to hit your maximum reward, the club is much more achievable than the Flying Saucer’s similar club requiring 200 unique beers. The wide and frequently rotating variety of beers on tap helps make this quest even easier. Every time I go there is something new and different that I’m looking forward to trying. Awesome. This has become my go to place to spend an afternoon reading. Weekday afternoons are pretty quiet, the music is usually(but not always) good and kept at a reasonable level, and service is friendly. ANND they have delicious food, with lots and lots of veggie friendly options. They’ve also got a bunch of gluten free option if that’s something you need. Try the muffaletta cheese bread, you won’t regret it. So way to go, Mellow Mushroom! I’m looking forward to drinking my 85 beers with you!
