Feedstore Bbq

Good food and a great value! Sausage was very tasty and the sauces were good with less vinegar than Hard Eight. Sides were serve yourself and the meat plates were plenty for the price. The only gripe I might have is that the sides could have been a little more hot temperature wise. Good atmosphere and fun outside with the cows coming up to greet.

Original location, multi-​award winning for Southlake BBQ. Walk into Feedstore and be prepared to wait during weekday lunchtime. Folks from all walks come here to feast on local ‘que. The food line begins with ordering your meat– and there’s every selection you’d expect from a TX BBQ joint. From brisket to turkey, sausages to chicken. Once you have your protein plated you’ll walk further down the line to choose and serve your own sides. The smashed potatoes are excellent, as is the dirty rice, filled with smokey meat bits. Grab a dish bowl, spoon in what you want and head to the cashier. After paying, there’s a roll station where you can grab a fresh roll with some butter and honey. The drink station is next, with Coke products. For $ 0.50 you can also have a soft-​serve ice cream cone after you’ve eaten.
There are tables everywhere so grab a seat and start eating. The BBQ is pretty good (I’ve had the chopped brisket-​wet and it was tasty) and the sides go well with it. The inside is clean and cool, very rustic. Staff will clear your plates once you’ve finished (don’t forget to bring 2 quarters and head to the ice cream station after you’ve eaten). The lines really start to form around noon– and can extend to outside, so the wait times can jump to over 30 minutes pretty quickly. An early arrival is suggested if you have a limited amount of time for your lunch.

Well that was great! Excellent Texas bbq! The spicy sauce was flavorful and not overly hot, brisket, sausage, and pulled pork were nice and juicy, and the fried okra was a perfect golden brown. The sweet tea could be a bit sweeter, but that is just my personal preference. Definitely worth the trip!

To say my last experience here was a disappointment would be an understatement. Ordering ahead by phone is pointless as hey still require you to wait in line behind customers that haven’t. My food was ready and yet I stared at it for several minutes while others pondered the menu ahead of me in line. When they finally had room for me at the register they told me my fries weren’t ready. I then proceeded to wait 25 minutes for my fries while other customers got theirs, even those that ordered after I arrived. When I got home they didn’t even include the BBQ sauce we asked for.
Never going here again
Addendum: store called later that night and left message apologizing for the service and comped the order. It was not my intention to get my meal for free but I do appreciate the gesture. I adjusted my rating from one to three stars. I would also like to then mention that their takeout service has been poor in the past although this was the worst I experienced. If you do get takeout I suggest you prepay and have them do the service where it is brought to your car

The food was very tasty and the customer journey was quite pleasant. It’s pretty straightforward on how you’re supposed to grab your food but there was minimal customer interaction or to ask if I’ve ever been there before. I had to assume a few things like are the rolls unlimited? Like how much of each side do I take? Some guidance would help. Also, the rolls was slightly dried out but these are minimal issues and overall it was a pleasant experience that id recommend overall.

I know now that I knew not what BBQ was until I stepped foot in this joint!
OMG delicious. Order your meat by the pound and the sides are delicious too… And the sauce?!? What?! All insanely good! But the meat really doesn’t even need any sauce as it is cooked to perfection…
All of this is coming from someone who has claimed to not really care for BBQ… But yes I am a New Yorker and admit I was misguided my entire life as it relates to BBQ… That is until I walked into the Feedstore!
This little smoke shack is unassuming and a bit out of place in the middle of nowhere.
I was able to sample a little of everything but come for the brisket, stay for the brisketLIVE for the brisket!

This is by far my favorite BBQ. It’s as close to perfect as possible. My family and I eat here often because of the delicious food but today their service solidified my spot as a forever customer. After pre-​ordering food for Mother’s Day, I realized I had more guests than originally thought. So just a mere 45 minutes before picking up my order I called to add extra meat. Long story short, when we got home we realized the extra meat was left out of the order. It took one call and they went above and beyond — not only did they refund me for the extra meat, they also delivered it my house. And I don’t live close. Beyond all this, they were kind. As busy as I know they were, they still were kind. So point of the story, not only do they have awesome food, they awesome people.

I am from KC and take BBQ seriously. Texas and I haven’t seen eye to eye on this, until I came here. The meat was top quality, great smoke ring, flavor, and just the right consistency. The ribs here are the second best I’ve had anywhere (only NC beat it, and not by much) and light years ahead of anything I’ve had in Texas. The sauce is not as sweet or vinegary as I love but it has a great flavor, especially the spicy one. The sides are numerous and also have a great flavor. So often they are an afterthought but this place makes sure everything on your plate is delicious.
When you see Texans give BBQ places great ratings, be wary. Except for this place. Go here, loosen your belts, and eat the best BBQ in all of N. Texas.

Soooo good. We come here pretty often and always get chopped brisket and sausage or hot link sandwiches with mashed potatoes and mac and cheese– delicious every time. Everyone is pretty nice and the prices are fair.
P. S. they have chicken fried steak on certain days (definitely Tuesday maybe Thursday as well?) and it’s amazing.

Delicious. Tried the 2-​meat plate with brisket, ribs, okra, and potatoes and gravy. Ribs were my favorite. The sauces were good.

Been going to the Feedstore since I was about 7 years old when my family moved to Southlake. I’m 21 now, and haven’t had better BBQ anywhere else in TX. Amazing and never lets me down. I moved back from Florida after spending year there, and my first stop was the Feedstore right after the airport. Love this place. Texas Ribs, Dirty Rice, Spicy beans, and Fried Okra is my go to.

Amazing brisket!!! The girl offered if we wanted the top part of the brisket and it was amazing! It’s cafeteria style here! I love it

This place is amazing. The customer service is genuine and that says a lot about an establishment. I believe it is the owner who walks around to check on the customers and their experience.
The food is above and beyond amazing. The brisket is smoked perfectly, the turkey is extremely tender, and the sides are awesome. You have to have the peach cobbler to top if off! We will be back. :)

This is a pretty nice little addition hidden over there on White Chapel in an area with some massive homes. I liked it a lot. I stopped here to have lunch since I am usually out and about every day. The staff was nice. you just pick what you want. Prices are up on the big tv screens so you cant miss it. That being said, I do want to say that the food was great. I have no complaints when the food is good and gives me a jolt of positive energy to continue the rest of my day. Just great food.

My boyfriend and I were greeted by a very friendly gentleman– possibly the owner of the establishment. I guess he could tell it was our first time here so he explained what they are well known for, their ordering system and their menu. The initial friendly contact was the beginning to an amazing dinner!
We were offered a sample of their ribs… AND WE LOVED THEM!!! We both ordered the ribs, Mac n cheese, broccoli and fried okra.
The ribs were AMAZING! Fall off the bone meat… and the way they were prepared gave them such a great taste that we completely skipped out on the bbq sauce… it simply wasn’t needed because they were great on their own!
The okra was prepared when ordered so we knew it was not sitting there for hours getting soggy… it was yummy! The mac n cheese was cheesy and creamy. The broccoli was lightly seasoned and fresh.
The portions were pretty big so we had ribs left over. One of the employees walking by offered to bring us a to go box and cleared our table after he brought the box– very attentive staff.
This restaurant was a great find! Great customer service and GREAT BBQ!!! We will definitely be back for more!!!

Perhaps it was an hour before closing on a weeknight that made the food not all that great. I can say that the pork ribs were alright but the brisket looked dried. Also, the pulled pork was dried as well. The sausage was decent. As for the sides, lackluster and even Lubys are better. The greens were overly sour. The rolls in the case was hard and flat. How can anyone get that wrong. At least spring creek has hot fresh rolls.
I will not be back since there are other bbq places and it was $ 44 for 2 plates, 2 kids meals and a cobbler. Pricey for a lukewarm subpar bbq

The Feed Store serves some of the best BBQ I have ever had the pleasure of trying. My personal favorite is their sliced brisket. Make sure to save room for dessert their cobblers are nothing short of heavenly. If your looking to try an authentic taste of Texas or just grab a good olé home cooked meal the Feed Store is the place for you.

I stopped by here the other night because I was down the road at REI and had a hankering for some BBQ. I ordered the brisket plate and as soon as I saw the guy pull it out of the warmer, I knew I should have stopped him and changed my order.
The brisket looked dry and it was. Feedstore trims their brisket of all the fat and rub (just like Soulmans) but leaves the smoke ring so you can see. Got some mac and cheese and broccoli to round up my meal and off I went to find a seat.
The brisket was ok but again as I stated dry. Their sauce was actually good and saved the brisket. I had both the regular and spicy. The mac n cheese was also good and the broccoli was nice and crisp.
Standard ice cream machine for the kids. can’t go wrong with that. Maybe I’ll give them another shot in the future. The building is nice and the atmosphere is good.

Wow the pork ribs simply blew my mind away! The brisket was tender and well seasoned. The chicken was ok. The onion rings and the jalapeño fries were bomb! The fries were good and one of my friends was a fan. The corn and the mashed potatoes we were all happy to have ordered. The sauces added great flavor and were all different. The food came and the food vanished.
Easily a 5 star but for the chicken.
The service was quick and friendly. They were patient while our large group figured out what to order. You start off at one end of a counter decide your meat (sandwich or just meat), pick your sides and then pay at the counter. You get complimentary self service soft serve ice-​cream at the end of your meal too. No hassles, easy and quick.

We stopped here for a lunch today. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with 2 sides. I choose the fried okra and mashed potatoes. The pork was most and flavorful, I topped it off with some of their spicy bbq sauce. It was very good! My fried okra was made to order and was tasty! The mash potatoes were some of the best I’ve ever had. My friend ordered the sliced brisket plate with 2 sides. She had the mashed potatoes & coleslaw. She said her meal was excellent. I tried a bite of her brisket and it was very good.

I ate here a week ago and I keep on having delicious bbq flash backs of the amazing bbq that is served at Feedstore bbq.
If you have a layover at DFW airport you should call up Über and get your behind here for a Texas treat.
In really glad they expanded the store to accommodate more people because this place can get packed. We stopped by last Sunday for a quest of bbq pork ribs and we were not disappointed.
The people here are very friendly and seem to know that they are serving some of North Texas’s finest bbq. If you are visiting for the first time say so, for some tasty samples.
When you do order you must order the pork ribs, OMG they are amazing! Fall of the bone and into my stomach goodness.
What I really like is the fact that you do not need any sauce to add to the meats, they are fine as is. We also tried the chicken fried steak which was ok. There are better fried steaks in the area. The meal can be a bit pricy to some people but hey you are in Southlake and you are eating fantastic bbq.
The sides for the most part are just average with the exception of the mashed potatoes. I just like the taste of it plus it has potato skin isn’t which just ads to the texture and goodness of the mashed potatoes.
Im looking forward to my next visit and I can’t wait to spread the bbq word about Feedstore bbq.

This place hooked us, and now that we live in Keller, we were lucky enough to get our own nearby location. Doesn’t matter which location you visit, the staff is warm and friendly, the beer is cold, and the food is hot and delicious!
Don’t forget to try their greens! One of my faves!
