This place is clean and good beds. My irritation is with the fact the hours are not taken too seriously. The hours say 9AM, this is the reason I bought and spent good money on my membership. The early opening would allow me to tan prior to going into work on my late days. So here’s an idea for you… Open when you say your going to open. Don’t give bullshit stories about running late. This is an every day thing, the biggest offender is the owner. so I suppose you cant have high hopes for you employees to follow the rules if you don’t either.

I have been going here for years after trying out a few other locations Downriver and I’ll never go anywhere else. Deluxe is by far the best tanning salon in the area. The owner is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet and you can tell he truly cares about his customers. All of the other staff members are just as friendly as he is and everything is very clean.
I’ve also gotten a pedicure here since the transition from tanning salon to full salon and it was awesome! I’m excited to see them make the full change into a full service salon. HIGHLY recommend.

Picking a tanning place is a task. You want to be sure they are CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. You dont want to feel intimidated walking in. You want (or I want) a place that their main focus is tanning, not with all these other services and doodads and frills, and obviously a fair price. I found all these things, along with friendly service with a smile, in Deluxe Tanning in Southgate. Their staff is very personable, strike a conversation with you, remember your name, and express their appreciation for your business with them. My only complaint would be the tight squeeze in the rooms, but if I’m going tanning I expect to be in a small enclosed place anyhow. They could use a lobby update and refrain from selling the (ithink knock off) bathing suits and purses, a little tacky, but that still doesn’t have an effect on their tanning services. Nice job.
