Good fish & shrimp takeout. The portions are good, always fresh and stays busy! A great option when you want fish and are either too tired to cook or don’t want to go through the hassle of cooking it at home.

FFH is the go-​to spot for fresh (and cooked seafood) in the metro area. great selection, haven’t been disappointed yet!

Love the clams and steak fries. There is another locale. Both are solid. The fish is just ok as the fillets are a bit small. The 8mile locale is slightly better in size, selection, and freshness if you are getting fish. I stick to the clams and fries.

I’m from out of town and was excited to try out the food. I was told 25 minutes to wait, the anticipation was high! I ordered wings and orange roughy. The wings looked awesome but I could not eat them. The meat tasted funny and the chicken meat and bones tasted like liver. The orange roughy was not what I expected either, but my pets liked it. I was just passing through with no time to return my food. Everyone says its good. It just wasn’t my day! It wasn’t their day either!

I was very excited to try Fresh Fish House out. I had a craving for fried fish and didn’t feel like having a sit down lunch at a restaurant. Found the location easily.
Beautiful store front. Very clean. Not too strong of a fishy odor. That’s where the positives end.
The woman working the register was inattentive, and unhelpful. She obviously did not want to be working there.
I ordered both the Fried Whiting and Ocean Perch Fish and Chips. Blech. The fish was fried with the skin still on. There were still bones in the fish too. The fish was definitely not fresh. Tasted awful.
Wait, I forgot one last positive. The fries were good.
So, I will not be coming back. I will move on to fresher seas and lakes.

Offering a variety of fresh fish and seafood, this restaurant caters to your seafood craving when it hits. Pick the fish you want with any sides and they’ll fry it up for you (i enjoy the perch and friend okra).
You also have the option of ordering your catch uncooked to take home (fish fry seasoning and hot sauces are also available for purchase).
During the Lent season where I choose to forgo meat on Fridays, this recent find has been indispensable. With two other locations on Woodward Ave. and 8 mile, fresh fish is never more than a line’s cast away.
