This place is yummy because they have a lot of sushi to choose from, tons. The sushi is pretty good it depends on what you get. I also tried the hibachi chicken bento box and it was pretty tasty. I would recommend for sure.

Yummy & affordable. The simplicity of fried chicken rice was spot-on. Will be back soon!

Susa used to be a good place to get sushi, however, our most recent trip there has turned me off completely. As per usual, my fiancé and I went to get some sushi on a Friday night after a long week of work. The server came and sat us at a table(still nothing out of the ordinary). While we were there, we enjoyed our first course of appetizers. As we got our main course, poured the soy sauce in our dishes, and almost started indulging in our sushi, one of the wait staff came over and asked us to move because another person needed our seat. She told us we could move to another seat, but they needed this one. Not only did we move, we had to carry our own dishes through the restaurant to our new table. The server only carried our drinks. Correct me if I’m wrong, but if you’re going to move a table who is practically eating the least you can do is move their dishes for them. They moved us right by the door where the freezing air came rushing in every time someone opened the door(which was pretty frequently). They also did not offer to take anything off of the bill or show any appreciation of us moving. I am very disappointed in what seems to be the«lead waitress» at Susa. Instead of having the other patron wait the 15 minutes it would have taken us to eat, she ruined our dinner. We are very consistent customers and we will not be back. It is mistakes like this that could make a restaurant go under.

Moved here from Colorado hoping to find a good sushi place. I ordered the dragon roll and the eel roll. Not a fan of the eel roll, it tasted awful, fatty and mushy-gross. The dragon roll was ok, tasted much better than the eel roll.

Sushi is consistently good, with special rolls available every week. Squid salad and seaweed salad are highly recommended. It is not good for large groups because they only have booths. I have not tried other dishes. My favorite roll is the«Crazy Roll»(special) with fresh jalapeño.

My first time coming here. I will return. Tried some appetizers and a salad. I ordered the sushi, it was really good. I tried the Aberdeen roll and the Philly roll. I can’t wait to return and try a few more. I like it better than Red Bowl or any other sushi place in the area.

The waitress was super nice! After a long day of moving we found this place… it was freezing inside so we opted for take out… the Hibachi chicken we ordered… I’m sorry but was just awful. Not even sure how to describe it other then… We had about 3 bites of it and literally tossed it. And here we where in our new house with literally no food and starving. The food wasn’t worth even attempting a few more bites. I may go back for sushi… But not for what I originally ordered.

Terrible. The place has gone from bad to worse. We just got served freezer burned sashimi. Looks good. Tastes terrible. I was told that no one complains, after I complained. Was charged full price for food we didn’t eat. Thai Basal is so much better.

The sushi is usually very good, but the customer service needs work. There were empty tables at the restaurant, but for some odd reason they kept people waiting at the door and would not seat them at the empty tables. Why would you purposefully turn away paying customers? Bad, bad customer service.

The rolls Ordered were okay at best. The fish isn’t ‘as fresh’ as I would have liked but there were bold flavors which I always desire in a good sushi roll. The place is kind of tucked away beside Staples, but I think it’s worth the find. Great atmosphere and great service. Next time I will just ask for less rice and/or order the sashimi too.

I had to update my review because I went back to Susa specifically for the rice-less hand rolls that I mentioned in my previous review and the waitress very snoot-ily told me she never heard of that and that it was impossible. I very nicely said I have had rice-less hand rolls here before and she looked at me like I asked for a garbage sandwich. She said she would ask the chefs and after 30 mins arrived with my hand rolls. For the remainder of the dinner she had that disgustingly fake attitude where she said all the right things, but in a way that made you want to just walk out and never come back. What a shame! This place has some decent sushi but with a lack of consistency and customer service, I will NOT be going back to Susa!

Great sushi with great prices. I’ve tried many of the rolls and have not been disappointed. The hibachi is good but not exactly a notable item. I’m sticking with sushi from now on. Staff is friendly and service is good. Atmosphere is really the only thing lacking here.

Living in Sanford, 30 minutes away, this is where we go when it’s sushi time. Great cuts of meat! Plenty of wasabi. Perfect American sushi-bar feel. Fantastic sweet tea! And hell, it’s not 5 star with samurai swordsmen and Japanese waitresses in kimono dresses not speaking English! But this place is great sushi in a sushi deprived area! Try it!

Reminds me of Japan! Japanese beer, Japanese liquor, a Japanese chef making Japanese Sushi while listening to Japanese music in a comfortable ambiance. Did I mention Japan? You know, where Sushi comes from? YUM!

So disappointed with the last visit. Terrible service! The food is very tasty, but I may get it to go next time. I also noted their rating and it’s not so good, the bathroom wasn’t too clean either.: /

I’ve been trying to find my favorite place for sushi in town and I think Susa is the place. I was shocked to see how poor their star rating was as I’ve eaten there a few times and have never had a bad meal. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive. The food is good. It definitely is worth a try if you are in the mood for sushi. Try the naruto roll!

After my friend suggested he was in the mood for Sushi, we decided to try Susa as it got pretty decent reviews on Google. While the staff were kind and service was good(I believe they were Thai actually), the food cannot be called Japanese. Let me state that both my friend and I have lived numerous years in Japan, so we know what decent Japanese food and Sushi tastes like. I ordered Tempura Soba with same Salmon and Hamachi Nigiri sushi. The fish was alright, though the rice was off. Not horrible, but I simply ate the fish off of the rice. Good rice makes or breaks Nigiri. The Tempura? What was that stuff they brought out? Perhaps something you might find at Long John Silvers… I couldn’t eat it. The soba in soup wasn’t right either. My friend got the bento and stated it seemed they bought a frozen meal and simply heated it up. I didn’t complain because it wasn’t as though they simply messed up an order that could be corrected… it was that in order for the meal to be done correctly, the cook would need to go fly to Japan and learn how to cook, so what was the point? Perhaps they should try switching to Thai food? I hate to give a place such a crappy review… but I simply couldn’t eat the meal and we stopped at Panera Bread after leaving the restaurant. At least the staff were kind and provided good service.
