Awesome plates, the Massamani Curry is perfect, the waitress is always smiling and she is very polite, you can eat very well for $ 10. Try the Massamani Curry!

We will not be returning. My wife ordered the vegetable pad thai It was horrible. The taste was so bad that we didn’t eat it and sent it back. I ordered the spicy fried chicken. It was ok but I felt sick later. Not sure if it was my meal. We will not be returning.

Spice Café’s pad thai is so good! I was bummed when thai basil in pinehurst was closed, and was skeptical about trying a new thai food place only to be disappointed, but it was amazing. Only wish they didn’t close in the middle of the day from 3 – 5, and I wish they made their own hot sauce like thai basil. Either way, amazing! Will definitely be back! And so happy that theres a local alternative to thai orchid.

I ate here for the first time with my fiancé and I loved it! The staff is so friendly and prompt and the food is delicious. Their tom yum soup is amazing and the green curry is my favorite choice. We are regulars to this place! Great for takeout

I thought my dish had good flavor; however, I’d never classify it as Thai hot. Medium maybe. And why don’t Thai restaurants in the area have sticky rice? I need it with my curry. Portions seem a little small. Cute place inside. I’d probably come back, but only because my favorite Thai place is an hour away.

I just love this place. The owner is very nice and attentive to her guests. The food is always hot and very good. You get more than your monies worth of food. This is the first place I would recommend to anybody who is looking for a good place to eat at a very reasonable price. My favorite dishes are the kao pad and the pad Thai.

I have given this place many tries, and my negative feelings only come around after I’ve gotten take out. The food itself is very good. Tasty, spicy(if you ask), and comes out relatively quickly. But if you take out… BEWARE. The portion they serve is ridiculous. I just left after spending 30 $ on dinner for two. I got two types of curries(Panang and Yellow) and a large soup. They sent me off with a small soup and two dinners that are EMBARRASSINGLY small. The yellow curry has approximately 5 pieces of thin, small pieces of meat. The rest is liquid and potatoes. The Panang is the same – all liquid and vegetables, hardly ANY meat. This has happened three times, and I’ve waited to post a review because my dine-in experience has been so positive. But, no more for me.

First of all, the food is delicious. Really enjoyed the spice café noodles and pad thai. Additionally, 97.5 health department rating, friendly staff, speedy service, generous portions. Looking forward to trying the curry noodles next time.

I had ordered some food on the spicy side, but it didn’t come out spicy at all. That’s my only complaint. I usually have the place to myself when I do go. The food is a great healthy choice and they’ll swap my rice for noodles or the other way around if I want. The staff are kind and attentive.

Tasty Red Curry. Could have used a few more vegetables but had great flavor and consistency. Quant little spot, come check it out!

This is our go-to take out spot. The food is great for the price, and the owners are wonderful.

I’m not a huge fan of this place. The food was kinda tasteless and the way the place is set up. No avoiding the freezing air when someone comes in. I like Thai orchid better.

A group of friends got some take out from here. The group agreed it wasn’t very good, I really didn’t like mine. For a real Thai experience go to Thai Orchid just down the street as others suggest.

This place is not very consistent but it is okay. They are very friendly and the price is right. If your food wasn’t up to par they will make it right next time and this continues to be our local Thai favorite. The service is quick and convenient but I don’t recommend eating in the restaurant, it is better for take out.

pretty sub-par Thai. Good deal for lunch($ 7.99 for most dishes, which include a deep fried roll and either white or fried. rice). Most of the food I have tried is bland and without a hint of spice. I ordered my lunch(Pad Prik) as HOT, and I swear, there was not one hint of spiciness to it. I had to ask for pepper flakes to dump on my food just to get it to be a little spicy. My husband got the red curry and it was decent. The Thai iced tea was weak and too sweet. He only had a few sips. The roll was soggy and the cabbage/carrot inside were greasy and tasteless. Not a fan and I will not go back, but some people might enjoy it.

Not the best. We went there Monday because Thai Orchid was closed. We got peanut curry chicken & green salads. The lettuce & veggies were a bit wilted & had spots from being old. Plus– The dressing had so much vinegar it hurt. The chicken dish was more pasta than meat, kind of odd — but it also came with rice. Someone else said ‘doesn’t satisfy Thai cravings,’ I think that sums it up perfectly. The employee who took our order was very nice though. Always a plus. However, I just think if Thai orchid is closed Mondays, we just won’t eat Thai on Mondays.

Great food and the women who wanted on us couldn’t be nicer. We have eaten at the Spice café on several occasions andI love it. The Tai food is very good… the green curry and spring rolls are excellent. We will always return.

Liberal portions and the kitchen is visible which I always like :) I like to come here as an alternative to Thai Orchid because you really get more bang for your buck. The service is wonderful and the pad thai and tom kha I ordered were pretty standard. Took one star because they are out of papaya salad and they were also out of anotheranother item when I asked but are considering taking papaya salad or som tum off the menu. :/ oh well, still great and good prices.

Spice café is my new favorite. The menu is huge, and everything’s customizable. Lots of options for veggies like me, which is hard to come by in southern pines. I’m currently addicted to the peanut curry, sooo good

I’ve only been here once, but it was pretty good. I’ve been to the other two Thai restaurants in the Pines a million times, and from my one experience here, I rank Spice Café above Thai Basil but a little behind Thai Orchid. At a minimum, SC is worth giving a try, especially if you’ve already been to Thai Orchid.
