It’s not John’s BBQ, but I can go to The Pik N Pig for that. However, guess it’ll do in a pinch. If you’re a transplant, you probably think this represents NCBBQ. My apologies.

If you want to have stomach pain, the urge to puke, by all means eat here. That’s how I feel right now. We’re in the middle of a road trip and I’m so nauseous and in such pain, having had to stop and buy Pepto to ease the upset. First they wrap all meat in plastic and put it in a heater, don’t they know that it leaches the plastic chemicals into the meat? Then they take a big jug of liquified margarine and slop that on the bread, put some fatty, nasty meat on there and charge too much for crap that physically will make you ill. Why have they not been shut down? I’m sure they’d fail inspection. If anything, do your body a favor, walk over to the Olive Garden if you must.

I had been looking for some decent BBQ in the area for years and finally tried Dickey’s in June and have been back a few times since. It is very good. Little expensive but the ribs and chicken is top notch. The sides are good as well. Love the unlimited sweet tea and ice cream.

Yesterday Dickeys catered our NC7 on 7 event. And they fed so many kids their delicious slow cooked bbq and mac n cheese. Their bbq had chunks of slow cooked pork not the typical stringy stuff. They fixed us a hospitality table and their ribs and smoked sausage was to be celebrated. The sausage seemed to have sizeable peppercorns and cheese. The ribs were cooked to perfection and that sauce was great. I wasnt really into the mac and cheese, but being outside in 100 degree weather. I couldnt ask for better.

Sometimes it very good other times not so much. The free ice cream has deteriorated used to be good now it’s lacking in flavor and has ice crystals in it. Seems not to be as clean as before. Very iffy.

I stand corrected. The smokers for the BBQ are inside the building. The product is NOT delivered by truck.

This location was very good for the regional chain. My ribs, brisket, and spicy cheddar sausage were tasty. The jalapeño beans and onion tangler sides were flavorful. The roll was fresh, and you can’t forget the FREE ice cream! :)

Arrived at 6:00pM ON Friday night and was told they were out of everything except smoked sausage and chicken. No beef, pork, ribs, or turkey. Couldn’t understand why they stayed open.

Good selection on the menu. The food was plentiful and decent — a bit on the pricey side for what it is offering. My experience was pretty much what I expected of a chain. If you’re craving barbecue and aren’t willing to make a 20 — 45 minute drive to a few of the truly authentic and amazing BBQ joints in the region, this place might help get you through.

Good Fast Food BBQ. Yes, it’s a chain restaurant, but it’s good. If you want the best BBQ in the area, go to Pik-n-Pig. But if you want a BBQ place that is open consistent and normal hours, go here.
