Friendly neighborhood café where they know the regulars names. Large biscuits, tasty sausage, big pancakes. Fast service.

An alright place for breakfast. When they say«mom’s cooking» they mean premixed pancake batter, syrup from WalMart and Jimmy Dean sausage. So it was a lot like what my mom cooked.

This place is perfect for breakfast before heading over to Graceland. They have lunch too but I’m not gonna be able to return. Fast and friendly and extremely clean. 50’s /60’s style setup made it fun to look around. Don’t pass this up if you want a taste of home.

I found this place on here( Unilocal!) & I think I have gone at least once a week since finding it. Today(2÷27÷16) I called in a bacon egg and cheese sandwich instead of my usual dine in because I had a hair appointment. I’ve taken my little brother here who is very picky and I think he actually likes it too. The small home town feel & friendliness of the female waitresses are wonderful. The guy that comes out to help sporadically is fairly nice yet has a dry sense of humor. Overall the food is great and the old school, down home country feel is definitely here.

Food was good. Not great. The service was pretty bad. Got my order wrong and they were really really slow. Even though they weren’t that busy.

Hubby and I just had breakfast at Country Skillet and have decided that we will be regulars. From the old time country atmosphere to the homemade biscuits, this place is legit southern comfort food. I had the country fried steak, which came with white country gravy, 2 biscuits, 2 eggs, and hash browns. I was able to eat everything but 1 biscuit, and I was stuffed! Hubby got the hash browns topped with everything. Literally, they came topped with onions and peppers, cheese, eggs, sausage, and salsa. It was a huge plate, too, so he was full and happy! They also have country ham, awesome looking pancakes(yes, we totally turned around and stared at the huge stack on the table behind us), and breakfast is served all day! The lunch menu looks delicious as well, with traditional southern veggies, home made burgers, and veggie beef stew! They are only open until 2:00p, so you have been warned. We will be back, for breakfast and for lunch. So happy we found this hidden gem!

If you are looking for a real southern breakfast place– this is it. This place should be on diners, drive-ins, and dives. If I lived near here, I’d come here all the time and I know the owners would immediately know my name. They let me take a picture of them with my kids and sat down with us to chat. The food is delicious, the people are awesome, price is right. This place is like you are right at home.

Unfortunately Waffle House is fresher than the Country Skillet. You can tell pretty much nothing is made fresh. Frozen biscuits, frozen country fried steak, gravy tasted powder. This breakfast was nothing I couldn’t replicate with a quick walk down the frozen aisle at Wal-Mart. I think someone forgot the salt after warming up my breakfast as it was pretty bland. Some salt at the table did the trick. Still gave it three stars since the food was hot, folks were nice. It wasn’t the worst breakfast, just not exactly fresh or «homemade» unless you count my frozen Wal-Mart breakfast as homemade… I mean it was made at home after all.
