Never go here; the food is good but the customer service is horrible. The workers and the owner do not care about the customers as we are the reason they are in business!!! If you don’t want to be treated bad — do not go here!!!

We went here to eat lunch with family and it was awful. The wait staff was arguing which made it really uncomfortable. We were there for 2 hours because it was very slow, which is never good with 2 small children, also they ignored the kids, even though we ordered them food they didn’t give them water or utensils even though we specifically asked. The food was mediocre overall, except the latkes which were just terrible. They were overall kind of rude and never once came to ask us how we were doing or refill our drinks, my son kept asking for water, we finally had to go up and ask them. It was tense and unpleasant. They should just stick to being a deli bc the«restaurant» attempt is really lacking.

We strongly prefer a deli that offers made-on-the-premises cold cuts, and this one does just that! I cannot say whether all of the offerings are house made, but I have been advised that the corned beef, pastrami and«turkey off the bone» are subsumed in this category. This is a much smaller Famous than the one on Grant Ave, and I understand the two stores are no longer related. This location is easy to bypass because it is in a shopping center lacking effective signage. The bottom line is when we have a yen for real deli(without all those nasty chemical preservatives in D&W and other commercial cold cuts) and great deli rye, Famous is our destination. This location also has great breakfasts with some of the best potatoes around.

Came here for a breakfast meeting. I ordered an omelet with spinach, mushrooms and cheese with a coffee to drink. I also had a toasted bagel with cream cheese on the side. I thought my meal was good. My colleague ordered eggs sunny side up and he said it was good. Our waitress was very friendly. I know a Thursday morning is very different than a weekend when they are packed but the place is still good. For $ 20, how can you go wrong?!

I used to come here all the time actually and it used to be very good. I believe they might have changed owners. There was a long wait and the hostess seating people ahead of us, which was weird. I did acknowledge it with her and when seated she asked the waitress not to charge us for the drinks, which was nice. The service was ok, considering there was only two of them for the whole place. The food on the other hand was meh. Both of mine and my husbands egg benedicts were dry. The egg yolk was barely runny and there was barely enough hollandaise to cover it. My kids had pancakes and they were very average. Overall I would avoid, unless you are getting deli or smoked fish /lox. That part is excellent.

What an absolute pleasure buying my deli at Famous. Chicken salad, bagels, challah and rye bread all fresh. You may want to try their portabello mushrooms stuff with vegetables and topped with mozzarella. Excellent. The staff including the cashier were just pleasant and went out of their way to please. Will be back again and again.

Excellent food, excellent service. Corned beef, kippered salmon,(and probably everything else) is top quality. Deli meats at supermarkets(even the nice ones) just cannot match the quality of steins famous deli. I haven’t had their hoagies yet but need to try them. Breads here are delicious, too, including their Chala bread. Highly recommended.

I’m so disappointed. This place used to be soooo much better. I walked in to do a take out order, and was not greeted by the staff. I asked a question finally about their to go menu, and was directed to the stack of menus in the corner. After I sifted through, and found the right menu it was time to order. I ordered the corned beef special. This used to be my favorite at Famous. When I brought it home, it was missing dressing and cheese. I had paid extra for the cheese too. The corned beef was overly salty and overly dry. Just plain nasty. I am seriously disappointed!

Great food! Great place! I love to go in for Sunday brunch. The lox and bagel and the corned beef special are the best you’ll ever have!!!

I had a fabulous lunch there with my daughter and 5 of her friends. They ordered different foods from eggs, pancakes, fish and bagels and omelets, I tasted a little bit of everyone’s and it was all delish! I will be back! Great service and constantly coming back to check on us. :) Also, got dessert & bagels on our way out!!!

Love this place. Had a wonderful corn beef special with a side of French fries and pickles and green tomatoes. My hubby and a turkey special with Swiss cheese and French fries pickles and green sour tomatoes. The staff is always friendly especially Mindy. They also make great fish platters.

The mediocre food is made worse by the poor service. I am not tipping you so that I have to consistently ask for coffee, to-go containers, and my check; I am tipping you because it is your job to do these things. Cheap, and not a good value. My first visit, and my last.

Had a late breakfast at the deli. Good bagels though not toasted enough. Very good value for 4.50 which includes a beverage and cream cheese with lox. The worst thing about the place is the coffee.
