I LOVE Moe’s food. That being said, I haven’t visited this location since the opening of the Vernon one… and know it will be a rare occasion if I do in the future. Comparatively, this location is much dirtier and slower. I don’t like the set-up as much. My MAJOR gripe with this location is its manager. He is one of the most miserable and hostile people I have ever had the not-so-privilege of interacting with. I so not say this lightly. I have seen him be rude to both employees and customers far too many times. Something needs to be done. Highly recommend the food, but go to the Vernon location!!!

I mean, Welcome to Moe’s!!! Moe’s has been in this location for just about forever, and it’s still awesome. Great selection of vegetarian items, fresh veggies, and freshly made chips. I also always find myself coming back for the salsa bar alone, which offers green and red salsas of varying heat, and even features a seasonal salsa(Honey Sriracha is on point). The staff is quick and efficient, and it’s just an easy place to grab a quick, healthy if-you-want-to-be, bite.

A favorite of my sons! Over achiever is great. I love that you can have anything you want in your tacos. The salsa bar is a benefit.

I used to be fond of Moe’s, however after today and my family being sassed by the young lady at the register I’m all set with giving this place my money. I’ve never had attitude from this place, but the one working today avsolutely seemed like asking for a take home tray was a serious task for her to accomplish. I’ll be going to the competitor from now on.

I called and placed a catering order for 10 ppl in less than 1 week of needing it. The staff was friendly and worked with me to put together a great order. The day of the event, I called and made a minor last minute change. No problem to do so. To save on delivery, I picked up the food. Everything was boxed and ready to go. I even got help bringing it out my car. My guests loved it! Moe’s catering was such a big hit. I was also given everything I needed. I will definitely be using the South Windsor Moe’s again. Thanks to the entire staff!!!

This Moe’s restaurant is the reason America is great. The staff is beyond professional and courteous. Every time I stop in, I’m treated with genuine respect and kindness. I’m truly grateful for the service, and will continue smashing bomb burritos from your establishment. A local Cornell Alum

Moe’s Monday is the best! Discounted burritos meals. Delicious burritos and chips & salsa. Much better than Chipotle in my opinion.

Yesterday a friend and I had a late lunch here. I ordered«The Funk Meister» soft taco. Talk about a ripoff. The taco cost roughly $ 4.50 and can be finished in just a few bites. If I wanted guacamole on it, it would have cost even more. It also seems as though the food in general could use more seasoning.

Excellent service. I’m not from around her and am new in the area, but the guys at Moe’s made me feel welcomed. They were courteous, attentive and quick! I came in to use my birthday coupon and had forgotten to print it out! The manager was kind enough to let it slide this one time and I am grateful for it. I will certainly be coming here in the future.

I’ve been here several times because my kids like it, but every meal I’ve eaten here is bland. No matter what I add from the available toppings it still really lacks flavor because all the meat and tofu seem to be unseasoned. I end up ordering lots of cilantro and jalapeños. The restaurant is clean and the staff friendly though.

Several family members got together at this location recently. My wife and I each ordered the Homewrecker burrito with chicken that came with cilantro, sour cream and guacamole. Additional ingredients included seasoned rice, pinto beans, salsa, lettuce and whatever. I also tried 3 different fresh tasting salsas from the salsa bar. The burrito is mammoth size and only a Herculean effort allowed me to finish. Everything was very good and priced fairly.

Ugh, I just love Moe’s. I used to love Chipotle, until I loved Moe’s. Every meal comes with FREECHIPS! And free SALSABAR! Whaaaaaat?! I usually get the burrito bowl, but recently had the Homewrecker burrito, which is a couple bucks more than Joey Bag O’ Donuts as it comes with sour cream and guacamole. Do yourself a favor and get your burrito with steak and all the fillings. They have sooo many more fillings than Chipotle including fresh and pickled jalapeños, cilantro, cucumber, etc. There’s even a bunch of tasty burrito sauces you can add! Just to warn you, it’s not possible to come to Moe’s once and forget about it for awhile. You WILL crave it and it WILL consume your afternoon thoughts…

No complaints for this Moes. The staff is super friendly as usual, they are really good about making a huge burrito without it falling apart while eating it. Good location for Mexican while in the Evergreen walk area.

I have made several trips to this particular moe’s, the most cheap and affordable meal at the evergreen walk mall and moreover it’s close by home. A quick place to pick up some Mexican food. My usual order here are the burrito bowls(veg/tofu) and nachos. The staff on board are always quick and friendly. The quality of food is good too. This place is always crowded and good for large groups however a little dirty!

I love you, everything burrito. Every Monday is Moe Monday. Get a $ 5 burrito with the purchase of a drink, and as always, free chips and salsa! The«homewrecker» and«joey bag of donuts» are their quintessential classics. The only difference is that the homewrecker is more expensive since it comes with sour cream and guacamole. Sure, there are other American Tex-Mex places around that feature vegetarian, vegan and gluten-friendly options. But while Moe’s is best known for its burritos, the choice of over 20 fresh ingredients is the biggest selling point for me. And for a side of awesome, you can’t go wrong with their queso. Big, thick, spicy(oh, burrito.) — catch me, I’m swooning already. Burritos aside, if you’ve ever ventured to the dark side and had Taco Bell’s crunchwrap supreme — you know how magnificent a warm soft flour tortilla that’s filled with a crunchy tostada shell can be. Enter the«wrong doug» Moe’s version of the crunch-wrap. It’s so good, you’ve got to try it

We came here about twice a month if not more since opening. They were great when it first opened up in South Windsor… But now as of 9÷26÷2013, we are not so thrilled. My husband and I have seen the restaurant go down hill. Lots of staff turn over and such. Not much care seems to be put into making the dishes, or maybe it’s the turn over of staff that needs to be trained better. Not sure, but I can say that the quality is just not there any more. It would also be nice if the manager/owner would smile more as you get to the end of the line to pay. He is kinda grumpy and needs to be cheered up I feel. Once again, just an opinion!

I can’t really give this a fair review because I went there on a first date many moons ago, which happened to be my first blind date ever. The date(or more like douche) picked the place probably because it was one of the cheaper places to eat at Evergreen Walk. Bad choice. Though the food was very good, but unless you were in middle or high school, this was NOT the place for first/blind dates. I remembered that I didn’t like the ambience very much. I didn’t like having to wait in line while getting to know the guy. Awkward! This location pales in comparasion to the WeHa location. My current, longtime beau, Jason M., and I frequent the West Hartford location.

I’ve always found the service at this particular Moe’s to be apathetic, bordering on unfriendly. It was no different today when I stopped by for a quick bite during lunch time. When I asked for cilantro after the guy neglected to add it when he should have, it was as if I had asked him for his first born child. I ordered the Overachiever taco with tofu.(I know, I know. Who does that? I’ve been eating way too much meat lately and wanted a break but didn’t want to go all veggie). The tofu had good consistency and texture, but was incredibly bland. It could have really used much more seasoning. Actually, everything(all other fillings) was pretty bland. In the past when I’ve had the meats I felt the same way. The chips, as usual, were stale. Ick. I didn’t even bother with the mediocre salsa bar. This lunch reminded me of why I tend to avoid Moe’s. It’s ok, but I’ve definitely had(way) better. When I am in the mood for this type of food in the future I will hit up Chipotle or make the drive down to the glorious taco truck on Long Wharf in New Haven, where I got triple the amount of food with quadruple the amount of flavor, for around the same price.

This review is for the Manchester location, but it is equally applicable to the other locations. The key thing with Moe’s is to keep it all in perspective. Yes, it’s a decent lunch option, with the usual array of burritos, tacos and quesadillas. You have a choice of meats(chicken, steak, ground beef or pork), rice, beans, and assorted veggies like lettuce and tomato. The burritos are a good size and make for a meal on their own. Chips are included and are decent. Moe’s also deserves credit for a constitently friendly staff. Here is my issue, though: there are a number of great, affordable places in CT to get good tacos. Whether it’s Sarapes, Mercado(both Hartford), Taqueria Mexico in Wallingford, or the Nextalli Food Truck in New Haven, there are great spots all over the state. If you are close to one of those places, go there first.
