First Unilocal review ever — my experience at Batik was excellent. Matt did a fantastic job cutting my hair (from long to short) and Audrey’s meticulous coloring job was the finishing touch. They keep themselves and their staff educated in the latest styles — and it shows. Everybody was very professional — I was seen on time and never for a minute felt like the staff was juggling too many clients (even though the salon is bustling). If you are looking for a pretty, yet unpretentious, salon with highly-​skilled stylists, Batik is your place. Well worth the drive from West Hartford.

I started getting my hair cut and colored at Batik about a year ago when my friend recommended me her hairdresser there. I am not originally from the Hartford area, and even though West Hartford «boasts» several boutique salons in their town center, I was not impressed with the three different locations I had tried.
Once I started going to Batik, I knew I had found my place! From the moment you walk in the door, your business is genuinely appreciated by the front desk, the stylist, and the owner. I love that my stylist is honest with me. She lets me know if the editorial model I show her is just a result of touch-​up after touch-​up, and tells me how to rock my own hair in my own way.
I have NEVER left Batik disappointed. They are reasonably priced and I would 1000 times over pay more for their services. They have made my hair the best pastel blonde you’ll ever see. The coloring chemicals they use are extraordinary.
Not only is my hair perfect every time I leave, they are the ONLY salon in at least a 50 mile radius that carries Oribe products. To put into perspective to what this styling line is: my mother drives to get her hair done at a salon that carries this line 90 minutes from her home – and she’s not high maintenance either, just knows the brilliance of Oribe.
Any woman who is specific and obnoxious and experimental with their hair (like me) you’re missing out to pass over this place. They gave me wine in the afternoon. I mean, come on!

If you are looking for a very friendly and professional salon in a relaxing environment Batik Salon is a must. They have amazing stylists.
