I like this gym. Lots of amenities and things to do. Even a daycare. $ 45/​mo can be steep for some but there isn’t another gym in the city that has better facilities. There are no moaning and screaming body builders thank God. They’re so annoying.
The staff is good! I’ve seen people come in and treat the front desk people like total crap at 7:15am because they had to wait a total of five seconds to scan in because they were busy helping another customer. And then they wonder why the front desk people are not always beaming with smiles and rainbows and then complain some more that they weren’t treated nicely! Sorry but $ 45/​mo does not grant you the red carpet treatment at the Y. You just get to go there. Typical entitled Americans.
Recommendation to the Y: To avoid getting your heads bit off over nothing by moody Iowans, have a fixed red light gun mounted on the counter so people can scan themselves in. LA Fitness has done it for years.
