My family has been coming to this location for close to 30 years. In the last few years, however, maintenance has really gone downhill. Over the last few months, it’s also been unreasonably cold inside. Today, my aunt asked why the dining room was only 57 degrees and the manager replied«the heater in the dining room is broken and we’re NOT going to fix it.»(The heat works in the kitchen so the employees aren’t bothered about it at all) Coming to this restaurant was a family tradition, but now it’s like sitting in a refrigerator. By the time we get our food to the table it’s already cold. The employees are always either rude or incompetent, not to mention how nasty the walls and bathrooms always are. We won’t be coming back until management changes.

This is a nasty KFC for basically being in a good location. Manager is an idiot so she hires idiot employees. Restrooms are so awful that you would rather do your personal business outside!

I wanted to try eating here again. Taking a trip down memory lane. Boy was that painful. I used to come here over 20 years ago. Wow, has it gone down hill Everything was sticky, you didn’t want to touch anything. The seats need repair. The wallpaper is pulling off the wall. There are boxes along the wall. Empty boxes. Styrofoam, in other words, trash, garbage. The floor is dirty, the walls are dirty. The tables are dirty. I do feel for the workers. They are trying their best. Food, not what I remember. Maybe it tasted like this 20 years ago. I know KFC is putting money into advertising, please save some for a complete remodel. One star cause I can’t give zero.

The Long John Silvers here has been good. Natalie asked for my order and she was very nice and courteous, much nicer than other order takers. The food seems always made to order(LJS) and tasty. They don’t have baked fish or cod which is disappointing because other LJSs do. The bathroom was filthy and there was no soap for my greasy hands after eating the fish. It’s pretty slow too. But the food was good and Natalie made me feel welcomed.

They don’t open on time, it says they open at 10 am, my friend and I waited till 10:20 and we called them at 10:05 saying we’re waiting outside but they said their still not done doing their stuff! So they didn’t open till 10:20 and I was about to order something big! They lost a lot of sale!

If the management of this restaurant read this review I suggest you get back to the place and get it back into shape. This place used to be a well run, great place to get KFC from, the manager and his wife were always around and their commitment showed in the quality of the food and the behavior of the staff. Sad to say the oldest person there appears to be about 20 and the overall behavior now appears to be «I really don’t give a F*** « No smiles, food gone downhill and it looks dirty

The ghetto KFC. You can hear staff cursing in the back. Don’t come unless you like that kinda stuff.

Awful. From the minute I walked in I smelled grease. The cashier was very nice. I ordered. The kid calls my name .I say«everything there?» .he says yeah. I get home and my husbands fish and the free cake are missing. The potatos were just gross… Chicken greasy… I tried to call the number on the receipt and of course no answer or answering machine. Behind the counter where the food is done was really dirty too. I have lived here for many years… will not be going back. Not as dirty as Milbrae though. that one I walked out without my food. Stood there after paying. waiting…looking around. made me sick. I left. This was close.

Natalie(cashier with blue eyeliner) made this experience here unexpectedly pleasant. My family came here from visiting the Olivet Memorial Center and got a rather large order. Natalie made sure everything was done correctly, was knowledgeable about the menu, made sure to give us a discount for a large order, and free drinks because the wait would have been longer than normal. I appreciate her great personality and attitude. Natalie really lightened our mood.

The customer service here is terrible. It seems like like only teenagers work the afternoon shift. Busy talking and laughing. Also when I ordered fiid the young guy with glasses threw my food on the counter. He didnt know I was watching him. Later when i. Was about to leavet I opened the box and the mash potato and gravy was spilled over everything. Did not apologize just took back my food and gave me a new one. Mash potatoes were watery and quality has gone down. Need to hire better employees…

This is your average KFC /Long John Silvers location. I would rate it better, however there is way too much oil in the batter on the fish than I’d like. They need to figure out a way to pull some of the oil out of the better of their fried foods. Otherwise the fish was tasty and light, the green beans good, the mac and cheese edible, and the biscuits amazing.

I don’t know what we were thinking. Soggy, flavorless chicken. The only thing that was good was the coleslaw.

The KFC is better than the Long John Silver’s but they’re both not that great. I got the fish and chips to go and when I got home to eat it I found out the batter wasn’t cooked all the way. Horrible. They either have a bad timer for their fryers or they don’t know what they’re doing. Don’t think I’m going to come here ever again.

This is the WORSTKFC I have ever been to. I personally like the taste of KFC, but I will not be returning to this particular franchise. I used to come here a lot as a kid, but the management has definitely gone downhill. I called in an order and the woman on the phone said they didn’t sell mac n cheese. I thought that was odd, but accepted it and ordered a bucket of chicken, some mashed potatoes and cole slaw. I was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. 30 minutes later, I arrived at the restaurant to find the food was not ready and they had no record of my order. I ordered again and the young man at the cash register said that they do have mac n cheese and didn’t know why one of his associates said they didn’t. It didn’t take long for them to pack my order, I have no idea why I even bothered calling in and waiting 30 minutes just to order again. Not only was that bad, but one of the cashier’s friends was in street clothes and walked to the back of the kitchen to greet the workers there. Also, there is a warmer shelf with a door to hold the biscuits, and the woman loading biscuits into the take out box held the door open with HERSHOE. Talk about unsanitary. After my experience here I will not be returning.

This place is okay. I have been here a couple of times before. Staff is friendly and setting is relatively clean. I went in on Thursday to try the new«boneless» chicken. What I got looked nothing like the photo of the triangle-shaped chicken piece that is displayed in the ad — sign. At first I thought«well maybe it was just that one piece?» No, actually both pieces I got was nothing like what the ad showed. The photo in the ad shows something fresh and cooked golden crispy. What I saw in the box I got was dull, heavy with batter, greasy and messy. Certainly, there were no bones in the pieces I got. But what a waste. I felt sorry for the little chicken that gave up its life for such a messy meal. I like the original recipe with its herbs and spices. But who wants mostly all crumbs and fried batter on chicken? Especially if the chicken is not that great. The batter for me was too thick, heavy, salty and too much spice. If I ever eat KFC again it will be the regular deal. No grilled or this new«boneless» stuff. If I want boneless then I will order chicken tenders or chicken strips. The new boneless chicken just doesn’t taste at all like the original recipe to me. The only decent part of the meal deal was the root beer(this location serves Mug brand root beer) and the cold slaw salad. KFC cold slaw is sweet but has a fresh chilled, crunchy flavor, like any good salad. I can understand trying to give customers something that is more«convenient» I guess. But something’s are best left as they were. I was always taught that leaving in the bone in any sort of meat keeps the flavor and helps the meat stay juicy. Why mess up the original concept with this over done version? If they want to try something new and perhaps a bit more healthy, what about baked chicken? Or did KFC try that before? Anyway, at leas t can say I tasted the new«Boneless» chicken. Stay with the original and don’t waste the money.

I went on a Thursday night with my mom. We walked in and saw a group of people waiting for their food and a line almost to the door to order food. My mom and I decided to just wait in a line and think maybe they will be fast. We forgot our coupons so we decided to look at their menu specials. We went for the special but couldn’t read what was included in the combo since it was in size 12 font. We did wait only 20 mins for our food but the people who were sitting before us got their food the same time we did and heard they waited over 45 minutes for the food. The manager was stressed and the two high school boys were very apologetic and did their best to get the food out there. I think the women manager’s stress didn’t help the situation. The food was good. I just don’t think we will go back there for a long time.

The only KFC-LJS combo location in the bay area. Parent company Yum Brands, has announced that both LJS and A&W will be sold. San Mateo & Millbrae have the only local KFC-A&W combo stores. More than a dozen multi-brand shops like this one are located in the east bay and south bay, so the future of those franchise stores is uncertain. I seldom rate fast food chains higher than 3 stars. The fish strips are often cooked to order, so it tastes pretty good. In the past the space wasn’t as clean as other stores, it looks better now.
