Bron’s Scissors

Fortunate enough to find Bron after a long exhaustive search for a barber. Bron is old school and he is very meticulous. Does an excellent fade and he really tries to give you the cut that you want. Checks with you constantly while he cuts. He takes appointments and so far I haven’t had any issues when I come to the appointed time unlike previous barbers that I’ve gone to who over book. Bron’s easy to talk to and his shop has a lot of character. Definitely a cut above the other barbers… See what I did there… haha

Short Version:
Bron has more confidence than skill. Went in for a straight razor shave and Bron shaved me way too fast until he cut me badly, then he went much much slower and cut me again. 2 cuts and 2 band-​aids is not what I expected from someone who claims they know what they are doing.
Long Version:
Was there a while ago with my friend who goes to Bron a lot. I went in for a straight razor shave. My friend got his haircut first and then it was my turn. I told Bron that I usually shave my own head but wanted to treat myself to a professional straight razor shave. My friend who was watching, jokingly asked Bron if he ever cut anyone before with a straight razor and Bron said never, which I have to admit, really put me at ease. While Bron was shaving my head I felt like he was going kinda fast but did not want to question him. That was until he cut me right on the top of my head. Then Bron quickly apoligized and said «wow, that has never happened before». I said, «maybe you can slow down a bit». Well Bron slowed down a lot and still managed to cut me again. I came in expecting a nice old fashion straight razor shave and left with 2 cuts, 2 band-​aids. At least Bron was nice enought to give me a $ 3 dollar discount for cutting me twice, at that rate, if he had cut me 15 times, the shave would have been free.

The best old school barber shop in the Bay Area. Highly recommended! One chair, so call ahead for an appointment.

Ive been getting my hair cut here for over 10 years. i moved from SSF to Alameda about 4 years ago and i still drive over to see Brons every 2 weeks. He cuts my hair just the way i like it every time.
