After meeting up with a local for lunch and practically freezing my face off walking to my car I had a hankering for a nice warm cup of coffee. With a dearth of independently owned coffee shops on my direct route out of town, I decided to pop in here to satisfy my desires. This Dunkin Donuts is situated on Main Street, very close to the essential east coast travel(traversing states north and south) on I-95. The store itself is an older one, however has a drive-thru and some parking out front. Upon entering I was greeted with a warm hello. Diane was extremely helpful, personable, and upbeat, something that I haven’t seen at a Dunkin Donuts. The whole staff seemed to be cheery, and I even heard them laughing while working. Pricing seemed to be on the lower scale which was a pleasant surprise. I paid $ 2.50 for my medium hot coffee The bathroom was clean and well stocked. The store is open 24 hrs. and is a great venue for truck drivers and those all-hours travelers to come to when in need of caffeine or a sweet or substantial treat. Thanks for making my trip more enjoyable, Dunkin Donuts. Being a mainstay and having originated in New England, I only expect«Dunks» to offer quality products and great service which was delivered.

The only reason I go to this place is because it’s near my house. With twice as many employees behind the counter as customers waiting to order you’d think there would be some semblance of efficient service. But you would be wrong. I have been stuck in the drive thru for over 10 minutes more than once, with one car ahead of me and no customers in the store itself. And if you go in with your own cup there’s a good chance that you’ll be ignored the manager as he tries to hang a new banner for the croissant of the month. Or you might hear the girls there bitch about the lone guy working and bossing him around. I don’t go here for the coffee(meh), or the service, but for the comical horror stories for my housemates when I get home. This place is so bad, even by Dunkin Donuts standards, that it’s worth it. But not worth more than one star.

What you would expect from a Dunkin Donuts. Their parking lot is tiny, so we opted for the drive thru. I was really looking forward to trying the s’mores hot chocolate, but unfortunately their machine was broken. This DD was close to the hotel I was staying at in Portland and definitely convenient.

The worst DD in the world, slow service, understaffed, poor quality, the iced tea tastes like coffee every time. Don’t go there, I thought when they closed it, it would come back better, but it’s just as bad as always, close it, put it out of it’s misery

It’s Dunkin Donuts, what else can I say ?? The Drive thru is very narrow and tight, and as you leave, watch the curb drop off !! This is a «Jack-Up Your Car«kind of Drive thru for sure !! Friendly staff and not going to lie, very attractive bubbly personalities. If you are new to Dunkin Donuts, try and ask to have your sugar melted, as otherwise it will never sweeten up your Iced Coffee(oh and in the fall, PUMPKINSPICE … OHYEAH !!)

Donuts coffee and morning There are bezillions of Dunkin Donuts around New England, seems like one of virtually every corner in some parts. The donuts and coffee are pretty consistent and it’s the location and staff that sets them apart. This particular store in South Portland is in a great location. Right on Main Street, it’s open 24 hours and even has a drive through. Late at night and in the wee hours of the morning lots of truckers and weary travelers stop in and it seems like it seem like they get non stop business. It is very typical inside and looks like most of the other Dunkin Donuts. A few tables, pretty decent bathrooms and of course lots of donuts, muffins and coffee. Since it has such a high rate of business the coffee is always strong and fresh and the donuts about as good as this type of donut can be. The employees are what really set this store apart. Very efficient, quick and accurate, I never had an order messed up here. I guess because of the high volume the staff got really, really good at what they do. But even when rushing around to fill the orders the people working here are always smiling, joking and communicating with the customers. Like a constant conversation going on with ten people at once. Some serious multi tasking at it’s best. Just a donut and coffee shop but a really good one for people in a hurry that still want to be treated with courtesy and a bit of humor and friendliness. You get in and out quickly and usually leave with a smile along with your donuts and coffee. This place knows what it’s doing and does it very, very well.
