They have a nice selection. The thing that has stopped me from giving them 5 stars is there «no return policy» I dont play video games, I dont like them, the only time I come in here is to try to get something to surprise my fiancé. Because I never know what im looking for or if hes going to like something I get, I try not to come here. If they had a 3 – 5 day cancellation policy that would still be better than nothing and would bring me in more often.

Couldn’t write enough about how much I love the warp zone! It’s the only locally owned place in Tahoe that sells video games, and their employees are actually video game nerds (in the best way possible) so they can help you out with any questions you might have about the systems or the games. Not only that, but they sell a lot of electronics, from phones to super Nintendos. They also have the largest selection of movies I’ve seen in town, apart from Video Library. And the selection never disappoints, they have everything from quaint little indie films to the years best blockbusters. Definitely come here!

Stayed in Tahoe and house had a PS3. Wanted games and found this place. Although they didn’t rent games, they gave 75% back if we returned within 7 days. Ended up being $ 10 for 2 games, just like renting! Good selection, nice employees, overall great experience!

The Warp Zone! The Best Candy Shop a Man could ask for. The Staff here are excellent in what they do very knowledgeable in all aspects of the Gaming World. Nick & Dan have a very nice business, their staff is the most Awesome people in Town Lindsay and Gynelle are so amazing.
Warp Zone offers, all areas of gaming from the olé Sega’s and NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) to the Newer Systems Sony’s Playstation 4 and Microsoft’s XBOX ONE. Not only offering Games, but have ($ 2) DVDs too ($ 6.99) Blurays. Available to TV’s and some Cell phones.

Love this place. When I moved to south Lake Tahoe. I did not know of any place to buy any gaming stuff. Then I found this little Gem. This is a store for Gamers. Don’t go to Kmart go to the warp Zone!!!

So happy to have a game store in town! Prices are similar if not better than game stop which means no more unnecessary trips just for that game. The store is cozy with a friendly and helpful staff, and their name is classic! You can buy new or used and sell back when you’re ready for a different game. Winter weekends should be spent playing games, not driving to Carson to buy them… We love The Warp Zone

Ok, so I’m not a gamer in ANY sense of the word, but my fiancé dragged me in here to get a charger for our Wii. I was going to buy a Wii controller charger at K-​Mart but we decided to stop here instead and ended up saving like $ 7. The staff is super friendly and helpful, plus they have a TON of movies (for cheap). I highly recommend this place, plus it’s always best to support local businesses.

This place is awesome! They have friendly honest staff, great deals, and almost any console accessory you could want. Old school gamers will love the variety and quantity of games and prices for all but the oldest and most obscure systems. I hope we never get a GameStop is all I have to say because this place is a million times better gives better trade in value and deserves the business.

Screw going off the mountain to GameStop, The Warp Zone is by far the best! They have everything… and I mean EVERYTHING. Xbox, Playstation, PC, even the OG NES! Also has an awesome collection of cheap DVDs, too!
Their trade-​in program also blows Gamestop’s out of the water. Highly recommend stopping by!

I tell ya, Tahoe has needed a place like this for YEARS. sooooo much better than Area 51, Gamestop or any other wanna be store. These guys are hardcore too, they gotz Nintendo 64 games and accessories, SEGA, all types of collectables and games you never thought you could find in a million years!
And whatever you are looking for, ASK… because they might have it in the back or coming in…
Can’t plug them enough. GO THERE — you will NOT be disappointed!!!

I am so pleased we have this store in SLT. The owners are extremely knowledgable, and are not annoyed to help me… since I know nothing. Since finding Warp Zone, I’ve been in 3 times this week, and without fail excellent customer service everytime!!!

A great place. The guys are super sweet and extremely extremely knowledgeable in the items that they carry in the store. If they don’t know it they look it up for you. If you are looking for a game that you can’t find anywhere else, chances are these guys have it. And for almost every system. It’s a great place to be around and hopefully they stay open for a long time. They have a great trade in system and can also clean the discs in store for you aswell. On top of that they also offer tons of old gaming systems. Original Nintendo 64 you say? They gots that.
Add more P.C. based games and I’d love you even more!

You guys. YOU GUYS. My not-​so-​inner nerd girl is so happy with this place!
So, I don’t know how many of you other lady nerds out there have ever gone into a video-​game shop by yourself and just gotten that passively hostile, «What are YOU doing here» attitude from the guy/​s working, but I seem to get it a lot. It was so nice to go into Warp Zone and have the guy working be NICE (and not creepy «nice», just nice) and helpful and full of answers to questions.
They carry games /​cartridges for all sorts of systems, and even carry a decent amount of used systems (For $ 40, I might just have to indulge my Gamecube memories some day soon) and even have a small selection of PC games and movies. The day I went in I paid around half a bill for six (good!) XBox360 games. Not a bad haul, if I may say so.
I always like to support local businesses, and Nice People + Good Selection + Fair Pricing = Devoted Warp Zone Customer.

Great place to grab some old cartridges for games on almost any platform. The place is incredible and you might even be able to purchase some cables for your gamecube, sega genesis, and more. Check it out if you’re feeling nostalgic!

Was there for the grand opening yesterday — bought a couple games. Cool store, a lot of inventory from just about every game system — what? no pong???
Owners knowledgable and helpful, taking time to answer questions even with a busy store.
