Amazing little bakery! Came in here based upon the reviews I read. Cash only. Grab some tongs, and a platter and load up on the assorted baked goods that you want… then these baked goods from heaven are bagged at the counter by their friendly staff.

Wow! What a find! This is an awesome authentic Mexican bakery. The owner is the nicest man. Pastries with guava and pineapple. Homemade bread. Incredibly cheap. A guava pastry for $ 1! Next to a Cup of Cherries which is really lax on the pastry selection. Get your pastry here and coffee there.

This place is little short of amazing in terms of selection, quality and price. Even though my espanol is very rusty it’s still easy to communicate. A true undiscovered gem. Try it.

Finally got the chance to stop by Ameca Bakery after seeing it for awhile. After moving here from LA, I don’t get my concha fix as often as I would like. Ameca Bakery is small with lots of baked goods. My favorite Mexican pastry are conchas. Ameca Bakery makes it fresh and so soft and fluffy! Just the way a concha should be! I also picked up some guava pastries and a cookie. Friendly workers, clean bakery, and I am so happy that they’re here in Tahoe! Can’t wait to try all of their other goodies! They’re opened from 7am-9pm! So stop on by and try some fresh baked goods!

My favorite Mexican bakery! You get to pick up your own pastries. The bolillos are great, specially the jalapeño and the ham ones. They even sell tamales one day of the week.

This is a Mexican Panaderia on the same strip with a Cup of Cherries coffee shop and Naked Fish Sushi restaurant. The man who was running it ‘no habla Inglés’, so he had another customer translate, since ‘Yo hablo muy poco español’. I managed to get a Guava pastry and some butter cookies, the Pecan being my favorite. The guava pastry was nice and flaky. He said they have only been open for 6 mos. Brush up on your español ;) He understands more English than he speaks, so just point and be patient.
