This is a true story: My mom and I both ordered foot long veggie delight sandwiches at our local Subway in South Lake Tahoe, CA. The cashier yelled down to the guy cutting the bread to ask what we were having and rang up our order. My husband was in front of us and paid for our sandwiches on one bill prior to my mother and I proceeding through the assembly line. The sandwich guy, who knew the sandwiches were paid for actively asked my mom if she wanted avocado on her sandwich, as she was unfamiliar with all of the ingredients and rarely eats there. She said«yes». When he was about to wrap the sandwiches up, the cashier came to him and said that she did not pay for avocado and the sandwich guy then told her she could not have the avocado because she did not pay for it and picked it off of her sandwich and threw it in the trash since they are freshly sliced in front of you. We complained about their process of ringing you out before you get a chance to add extra cost items, and the fact that he asked her after the fact he knew it was already paid for by my husband at the front of the line. Seems like they should have let this one slide in favor of the customer. There are 3 Subways in town. Stay away from the one on Lake Tahoe Blvd between Pioneer Trail.

My daughter and I ate at the Subway in South Lake Tahoe on Friday August 7th2015. I had the turkey avocado bacon sandwich. I became very sick later that day with vomiting severe nausea and dizziness. Is it food poisoning? Anybody else have similar problems? Kim H.

So I really used to like subway a lot until I moved here to South Lake Tahoe. The Customer service at this store is some of the worst I have ever been too. The employee’s hate their jobs and you can tell. Very Rude. The vegetables have been sitting their all day and are definitely not fresh. They might as well throw the sandwich at my face when they are finished.

Always a good stop off, conveniently located to the village and the 7-Eleven right next door. Friendly employees. As some other reviewers have mentioned, it can get pretty hectic during peak season.

It’s Subway. Home of the famous foot longs! I work across the street at the Heavenly Village so I grab lunch here at least 3 times out of the week. It can get busy during the busy months, but it’s something that I can grab to eat in between my clients. Service here is okay. I once had pretty good service that stood out though! The place is clean and the subs are cheap. I really don’t have much else to say other than it’s a great location, especially for people who stay at the Marriott. Makes it convenient to grab a bite for lunch!
