Ski Run Marina

Ski Run Marina is the best! They have an awesome staff and the service is always great. (I forgot his name but the guy who helped us out was from Mass) We rented a pontoon boat and did a little tubing— SO fun! Ski Run Marina has such a great selection of boats and lake activities, there’s no need to go anywhere else. I can’t wait to go back!

Great place to rent a boat for a few hours. Nice crew but… went to leave and got parking validated for an hour but we were still charged $ 25 for 5 hours and just spend $ 500+ on a boat rental. Should be free parking if you spend that sort of money.

We rented a buoy here and the office staff and boat taxi crew provided excellent service. Kudos to the guys that came out in a hail storm to fetch us from our boat. Note to self: The weather in Tahoe can change VERY quickly. Beware!

I visited here in the first week of Sept. After doing research before coming to Lake Tahoe, I found this was one of the only places that had Hydrobikes. On our 3^rd day in Tahoe I called them at 11:23 am asked if I needed a reservation. After being transferred & cut off I reached someone who said «no reservation needed, first come first served. So after planning our afternoon around going there about 2:00 we get there only to be told that the hydrobikes don’t go out because of some broken chain on them?!? And altho there are at least 5 of them on the sand, they say they don’t work. Then they hand me a price list with hydrobikes listed! We leave and it’s bothering me! WHY WASNT I TOLD THIS AT 11:23 when I called?!? So I call again to be told that the water is too low to put them out! OKAY THIS MAKES SENSE! Tell me that, along with people that work there! Very disappointing! Wasted a day waiting to go do that. Bad customer service. Will pick another Marina, there’s plenty more.

My friends and I got to take a boat out and the staff was very nice and helpful! We had an amazing time out on a boat and we will definitely be returning.

Rent a boat for 10 ppl here~ we all had fun boating in the lake! But, we’ve been waiting more than 1 hour to get our boat, though we made a reservation before we came. The clerks were rude — but i understand, they are very busy, and have no time to give us a smile… I was thinking to give them a 1 star review at that time…
But, i have to say, the clerks are good after they start to serve us. Very nice with sunny smile, and teach two of us how to operate the boat, and bring us to the lake. When we miss our way back, they teach us how to find the right route with patient.

My lifelong dream is to own a boat. However, I am a poor teacher, so renting a boat must currently suffice. I came by Ski Run Marina to do just that, and was helped by a gentleman named Mikey. In addition to his safe and skillful driving, he entertained us with fun and interesting facts and stories of his beloved home. He went above and beyond and made our experience worthwhile. Should I return to South Lake Tahoe, I hope to rent a boat with Mikey as my driver again.

Beautiful views of Lake Tahoe and a very clean beach. So much to do with an amazing staff. My trip was amazing!

Great service, wonderful staff. Travis was the best! We’ll be back.
Jet skis and boating and it was fun and easy.
