This place sure lived up to their name! The service was very rude. We we first got there the place was divided into two sections a bakery area and a coffee area. There was only one«order here» sign so we waited in line. I stared to say«I want one croissant and a mocha» and before I could even finish my sentence the girl at the check out was quick to correct me by saying«okay you order breakfast here and coffee over there!» Like I was a kindergartner who needed help. I could barely even order three more bagels without being interrupted at every word. Finally we got to the coffee line where my friend told the checkout girl that she wanted to buy her and my drinks. She ordered her drink and the girl started checking her out before I could even order we repeated that she was paying for my order also and then I proceeded to order. I got my first drink said before she started checking us out again. I was ordering two drinks and we had still not finished ordering. When we finally checked out and waited for our coffee it turned out that she never even gave the barista the order for the third cup. Moral of the story it has never been more frustrating to order 3 coffees and a couple of bagels. Rude service but I guess I should have known from the name.

Bagel breakfast sandwich with egg bacon and cheese was excellent – clearly using premium bacon; coffee was average to below-average. Like all indie places in Tahoe, it’s pricey, but worth it – at least the food. Nice place to sit outside, and the new street-scaping makes it easy to park. Bagels also above-average.

Their name says it all! INCREDIBLYRUDESERVICE. Woman making our bagels was rude, everything from her tone to her facial expressions. My first time in Tahoe and will definitely not be coming back. Do not recommend, mediocre food. Terrible.

Good bagels Lousy service; especially the old fat bald guy with the glasses who yells at people ! They are going out of biz and losing their location. Looks like they were«too rude»!

A great coffee/bagel place in South lake tucked away into a small strip mall near El Dorado beach. Great bagel selection, even got to try a pizza bagel that tasted similar to a large bagel bite with awesome freshness. Coffee selection is excellent with choices such as almond joy and other flavors. Price was well priced for Lake Tahoe and felt the food was quality and genuine. I will return when I am in the area.

Great bagels, really OG. Love their smoothies(great for hangovers) haha… Outdoor seating is comfy. It’s South Lake so always that neighborhood cozy feel. I am fond of the salmon on everything bagel A little birdie told me they are soon to be moving so we shall see where they are headed next but glad to hear they are staying open. The name definitely suits the attitude of the staff… Not all but the majority I have come across. But whatever it is seriously no biggie for some bomb food. You do you rude brothers thanks for the bagels in the earlay mornin’

Stopped in for a cup of coffee and bagel. At first glance it seemed very dirty. I am somewhat picky that way. Ordered a bagel sandwich and coffee. The egg on the bagel was microwaved and chewy. Coffee was decent not great. I would much rather stick with the local businesses, especially being new to town. Unfortunately Starbucks is my place.

FOOD: Had the rude awakening because I love a classic breakfast. Bagel was very good and the taste was all there. Also a brownie. The one I had last time I was here was a lot more chewy but this one was still very good. Will be coming back and updating my review when I get more in site. But overall a good place with great atmosphere. Employees were nice.

The owner definitely has humor naming this place as such, but darn. Their bagels are so good. I like mine toasted(you NYC people must be cringing!) but even when not toasted, the bagels are fresh and chewy. Since I already ate an overpriced Starbucks sandwich at the hotel before coming here, I just had a honey wheat bagel with light cream cheese. It hit the spot. Mom enjoyed her smoked salmon brekkie sandwich on an Asiago cheese bagel. This includes red onions, tomatoes and green onions to give you a balanced meal.(and bad onion-y breath) Dad thought he could handle their jalapeño bagel, but the heat made him take off some peppers. Oi, weaksauce! Their house chai is delicious! I especially liked the cinnamon taste of it. You can request it to be made less sweet as I did with mine. They have inviting benches outside where you can enjoy your brekkie while basking in the sun. The inside of the café can become smoky because of the poor ventilation. I mean, I like to eat my bagel, not smell like one.

Got 2 sandwiches and both were delicious. I would recommend the Smoked Salmon Sandwich and The Angry Angler Sandwich.

Only lost a star because of the long line. But I can understand why. My BLT with cream cheese in a pesto mozzarella bagel was worth the wait. And the line actually went pretty fast. I also had a snicker doodle latte that was also delicious. Would definitely recommend this place.

On the morning after our first night in South Lake Tahoe, we were hurting pretty bad from the crazy night before and of course needed something good to soak it up. Luckily, my bookmarks led us to this spot. Since the area was completely packed with tourists there for NYE or Snowglobe, the wait was definitely ridiculously long. However, even though we went closer to noon, I did appreciate that they had a ton of bagel selections left. They also offer an extensive selection of espresso drinks and smoothies. I opted for the sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a pesto and mozzarella bagel and a pumpkin spice latte with coconut milk. It was awesome how they had a ton of hot sauce options, so of course I had to take some Tapatio with me. My items were definitely delicious and reminded me of the awesome bagel spots we have in the Bay Area. Just be mindful that the parking situation can be a hassle if it is packed, but totally worth it for some delicious bagels. Overall, if you don’t mind being in the presences of hardcore Christian values, then definitely try this spot out.

Great coffee /breakfast place. I had the Rude Awakening breakfast sandwich. I chose the Asiago bagel, the bagel was fresh. The sandwich had plenty of bacon, egg and cheese, definitely filled me up. My husband doesn’t care for breakfast sandwiches so he ordered a BLT, it comes with cream cheese and he really liked it. My latte was good. They also have a good selection of drip coffee. We would eat here again or stop by for coffee if we are in Tahoe. …wish they had wifi

I am a bagel and cream cheese fan. This place has great bagels and i love their plain and veggie cream cheese! I tried their iced white chocolate Mocha and it was so good! Way better than a Starbucks white chocolate Mocha! I also bought the sun dried tomato cream cheese. Good but very chunky! Maybe if they can whip the ingredients together it be super good! The girl working at the register was very nice and she made me an awesome drink. Definitely a go to place for bagels and coffee in SLT! Give it a try.

We visited Rude Brothers Bagels for the first time last weekend and were pleasantly surprised. I am a bagel fanatic and I went with a simple everything bagel with cream cheese and tomatoes. The bagel itself was really good and soft with plenty of everything on it. The cream cheese isn’t the greatest I’ve had, but I would eat it again. We also tried the cheese and pesto bagel which was awesome! I have yet to try an egg and cheese bagel sandwich and once I do, I will update this review…

Decent bagel place in Tahoe — you can get a variety of bagels with a variety of toppings. They also have a big coffee menu and have some decent flavored drinks. Otherwise, it just seems like a regular bagel place that you can stop by to get something on the go They also have trendy paleo options, if that’s what you’re into.

This is place is pretty good! I came here on a Sunday morning before the drive back to SJ and it had a line almost out the door! But it moves fast so don’t worry. I got their famous or best-selling bagel sandwhich. Your pick of sausauge or bacon with egg and cheese!(basically a breakfast sandwhich) but I added cream cheese on mine. You can’t have a bagel without cream cheese ! duhh! Their smoothies are also really good and sound super healthy. Overall super good bagel sandwich. The cream cheese gave it that extra cheesiness that I really liked.

Well, no one here was rude! The bagels are pretty tasty. They make everything in house, including some unique breads and pastries. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and it was huge! Very flavorful sausage with fluffy eggs and cheese. I was only able to finish half. The jalepeno cheddar bagels are really tasty, too! I think my favorite part of my visit was the assortment of hot drinks. I ordered a black chai tea and it was delicious! You can also order green. At first I was a little offended by the $ 4.50 price tag, but it’s Tahoe and everything is expensive, and also it was very good. Pretty spicy too. The ladies working behind the counter were nice and worked quickly to get through the customers in line. There are many chain options in this area but this unique bagel shop will be my first choice in the future.
