Got cappuccinos. We were wanting art from other pics, but didn’t get it. Maybe you have to ask. It tasted good, nothing special though.

In one word: unbelievable To start with the service was slow. There were issues with their electronics so they couldn’t take our order. She did bring us water and refilled our water twice before she even got the coffee orders. She and the manager continued to argue with a customer over how bad his food was and that he would not pay for his breakfast. She finally took our order with a pencil and paper 30 minutes after we arrived. I ordered bacon, two eggs over medium, and home fried potatoes with sour dough wheat toast. I requested extra crisp bacon and potatoes. What I received was eggs over cooked with a crisp lace on the edges. The potatoes burnt with a really bad after taste. Old grease I would guess. I believe they were already cooked and the chef just put them in the fries cooker to give me extra crisp, but ending up burnt. The bacon was the same I was unable to chew it. The toast was about cracker thin and hard like a cracker. I hate that this was my experience at a place with such a cute name. I would call this place A Cup of Cherry Pits.

So this place has potential. Menus is good. Service was slow but friendly… The island pancakes advertised bananas, coconut, Caramel Mac nuts, and yet had very little of all these. Pretty plain and boring. Bacon was good… What ruined the whole thing was the doorbell. It chimes constantly… Loudly… Through the whole meal. We pointed it out to several employees who agreed… It’s irritating as all hell… They said its constant all day every day. There’s a sensor and it senses any movement anywhere near the door. Even a fly buzzing by 5 feet away. I suggested they unplug it… They ignored the comment and walked away? WTF!!!

First the bad: they use powdered mocha and powdered white mocha. You can taste the artificial powdery taste and its gross. The waitresses wear skimpy clothing, shirts which show their entire midriff, and I can’t tell if they have dreadlocks or just rats nest hair. They look dirty. The first time I went with my husband they messed up our drink order. He ordered an iced drink and they brought him a hot drink in an iced cup, which he burned his mouth on they gave him a straw, and he assumed it was iced but it wasn’t. No big deal right? The waitress did not give the slightest hint that she cared at all. The service can be summed up in one word: unprofessional. The good: despite the powdered mocha, if you happen to order a drink that does not have any kind of mocha, they use and brew quality espresso. The espresso is delicious and does not taste burnt. The only reason we gave it a second chance is because the ISLANDPANCAKES are the most delicious pancakes I have ever had in my life. They are banana and macadamia nut pancakes covered in coconut sauce and bananas they are amazing. I also got an iced butter beer which was totally delicious. They do have one gem of a waitress, her name is JORDAN! She dresses professionally and was a very wonderful waitress! She deserves recognition. All in all I would come back for the pancakes.

Good food and coffees! Took forever for our drinks to show up… we got them after we recieved our food. My friend recieved his coffee cold which was a bit of a bummer & super tight spaces. Service kinda sucks. Food was cold & took 45 minutes. Wouldnt split the bill. Runny eggs. Cute environment though!

Every part of the experience was a nightmare. We were seated right away. Menu was overpriced. We ordered our food and 45 min later comes back and asked us if we were ready to order again. He forgot to put in our order. I had ordered the chorizo omelet and I finally got it they forget to put in the potatoes and there was 3 little specs of chorizo. Even after we complained to the waiter and the manager they didn’t even bother discounting a single drink. The manager said that next time we shouldn’t have eaten the food and sent it back. After this point we were there for over an hour and a half with a starving baby. Over priced bland food with worthless service. Never again!

Lots to improve upon. Got the following: Viet hoagie: 3 stars, delete the sausage patty and it would have been better. Omelette quesadilla: 2 stars not much flavor Breakfast wrap: 2 stars, same as the quesadilla for ingredients, no flavor Very slow service. Won’t be back

The staff is so super friendly! And the strawberry fields coffee was so yummy. They’re very accommodating with making different drinks just right for you. And the viet hoagie was an awesome breakfast sandwich.

Fantastic food! The coffees that all my friends tried were amazing, with rave reviews directed at the Mexican spicy latte. I got the butterbeer, which was wonderful. Note: it’s a hot drink so don’t be surprised when you drink it with a straw, and try not to burn your palate. The Singapore egg dish deserves five stars, and the tamagoyaki omelette that I had was mildly spicy, light and tasty. Great paninis and sandwiches as well, with perfectly toasted bread. We shared the Nutella crepes for dessert — two thumbs up. Of the two servers we had, the young guy was a little snarky which makes me feel a bit meh, and the older gentleman was sweet, friendly, and accommodating. The next time we come to Tahoe, we’ll definitely make it a point to go back to A Cup of Cherries.

What to say… I see what others mean about staff jockeying to sit two at a two seater when there were 5 four seaters open. Had to wait to get a clean table for two. Not a big deal but something to note. Ordered drip coffee. Was asked what size I wanted. I said we are eating in, so regular size please. Then I asked«regular coffee includes refills, right?» No, it does not. Seriously?! That bothered me. I understand if I was ordering expresso drinks, but this was drip coffee. Oh, and if you want any sweetener other than raw sugar, bring your own. Nothing wrong with raw sugar, but many folks like Splenda, etc. On to the food, my husband ordered one of their quesadilla specials and said it was outstanding. Hence the three stars… I ordered a classic breakfast. 2 eggs scrambled well(don’t judge me, lol), crispy bacon and their whole grain toast. The egg whites were runny, the potatoes were cold, the bacon was cool and floppy(yuck) and the one piece of toast, rock hard. I asked for the bacon to be crisped and they took my whole plate away. When it was returned I now had hot crispy bacon with cold, runny scrambled eggs and colder potatoes. All that said, I still give it three stars. Why? The people were friendly, the place was spotless, their specialities looked great and the one cup of coffee was delicious. So, skip the regular coffee, order something epic and skip the classic breakfast and order one of their breakfast specialties.

Walked in: seated right away. They have Hawaiian macadamia nut pancakes! The Mrs. Ordered a berry smooth coffee along with the classic breakfast. I ordered the omelette with havarti cheese. Service was good; relaxed and friendly. They take your order with an IPad. Food came fast and hot. Wished they had Avocados for my omelette. Berry coffee was the star of the show

Cute hole in the wall coffee shop! There’s plenty of space for seating although I can see this place getting pretty busy during peak season since it’s near the casinos. I’ve had the Mexican mocha and I absolutely recommend it! They use two types of chocolates ghiradelli and I didn’t catch the name of the other blend but it is in the Mexican mocha. The baristas/cashier were awesome! I asked a few questions about the menu before ordering and felt no rush or judgement haha. I will definitely be back to try their food items and other specialty drinks. Check them out! ITSCASHONLY!!! They do have a machine inside the shop…

We were looking for a new breakfast place in Lake Tahoe because we were tired of all the ones we have been to. I did a quick search on Unilocal and found this little coffee shop/café. I thought the name was a little strange but we decided to give it a try. We drove over, parked between the café and snowboard rental shop, and walked inside. The décor was cozy and we were immediately seated. We looked over the menus and I decided on the Viet Hoagie with a pumpkin pie latte and he decided on a more traditional breakfast with a coffee. The coffee came out first and both were wonderful. A short while later, the food came out. Everything looked and tasted fantastic. The Viet Hoagie had the perfect amount of heat and cool when you bit into the fresh veggies. It was so GOOD! The boyfriend was jealous of my delicious Viet Hoagie and decided that we would be back again the following day! We did come back the following morning and he went the savory route with the Viet Hoagie and I went the sweet route with the Island Pancakes. Both were delicious and the homemade hot sauce went perfectly with the hoagie(I definitely stole a bite). We both HIGHLY recommend this little place for breakfast in Lake Tahoe!

Cozy place with friendly service to have breakfast. Parking is a little snug but if you can park, you will enter a great place to start your day. The breakfast crêpe and the classic breakfast was pretty standard but the Mexican Spice Latte is recommended. It’s apparently a latte with cayenne pepper and agave. It’s one of those places that presents their lattes in a big cup and we pull out our cameras before sipping. I’ll definitely be back to try other popular lattes. I much prefer A Cup of Cherries over Driftwood Café which is hectic with a lot of vacationers.

In Tahoe from where the creative food flows and the coffee is awesome on every corner? I think that Cup of Cherries might be able to satisfy you. Are they a high end coffee nerd location? No, but hey will do a good cup. But that sandwich. That Vietnamese breakfast Ban Mi Sandwich. Soo good. Seating is a little awkward… or is made a little awkward. The front of the house girl seemed to stress a little too much over where people were sitting. She kept trying seat people in the worst location just because they were a couple in a sea of four tops. I will go back for some more of those creative sandwiches. And as we were leaving owner came out and said hello. Always nice seeing the people behind the businesses. Be prepared for parking issues if you come at a busy time.

It’s a small place, so you may have to wait for a table, but it’s worth the wait! Just grab an espresso drink and sit outside(we lucked into a beautiful October day)! I had the Island Pancakes, which were amazing, and crispy bacon. Just the right amount of sweetness — bananas, toasted coconut, candied macadamia nuts and a bit of coconut syrup. Hubby had the Rum French Toast Egg Sandwich — egg, bacon and Havarti between two slices of rum French toast. He loved it(with a little syrup for dipping).

Très déçu. Nous sommes rentrés, nous avons entendus 10 minutes et été royalement ignorés pendant tout ce temps. La serveuse nettoyait sa machine à café et le patron discutait avec un copain…
