After a half day of hiking, the burgers and sandwiches were just what the family needed, delicious!

Cute little place, kind of small and slightly outdated but nice nonetheless. Ladies working were kind and efficient(the best kind) and atmosphere overall was very enjoyable and relaxed. Burgers are definitely what you come here for, but we ordered salad and chicken tenders as well. Salad wasn’t anything special really, something you could make at home. Chicken tenders were… well, chicken tenders. Fries were hardly salted, small and thin. Props to the Burger Lounge for getting our food out fast! We were waiting less than ten minutes and our food came out, nice and warm to fill our rumbling bellies! Indoor and outdoor seating, not a ton of space though. Overall a good place to eat and with fairly good prices!

Perfect burger after a day at the lake. Huge burgers and great selection of veggie burgers. Love the smoke house burger, santa fe veggie burger, and the desert delight veggie burger. Huge shakes, quick service. Can’t wait to go back.

Note: this review is solely for customer service. My husband ordered burgers for the whole family. There were 10 of us, so we had the waiter read all the orders back to us. The waiter nailed it, and the four family members at the counter confirmed the orders were read back correctly. They start bringing out the food one by one, and after 15 minutes we realize they forgot my husband’s order. We let the waiter know they forgot the only chicken sandwich we ordered. The waiter said it’s not on her list, but she would rectify it. By this point we all finished eating. Another twenty minutes later she brings out the chicken sandwich, and then says my husband can pay for it separately after he eats. I don’t care where this burger is advertised, I won’t ever eat here again if this is how they treat their customers.

I was in Stateline for a conference and was in the mood for a burger. I always try to seek out local establishments when I try new restaurants and I came across this place and decided to try it due to the Unilocal reviews. First, this place is located on the complete opposite side of the city(from the casino/tourist area) which is not really a big deal, but due to the traffic and construction going on, took a good 15 – 20 minutes to get to. When I arrived, I came across a nice location with plenty of outdoor seating. I will start off by saying the people who work there were very friendly and I didn’t have any issues with the service received. I placed my order to go for the Hangover burger, fries and the special shake of the day — «Fresh Blueberry». While I was sitting waiting for my order, I noticed one of the staff take a Torani syrup bottle, which looked blue, and mix it into the shake cup. When I received my shake, it had very little blueberry flavor and consisted primarily of the shake mix. There was NOTHING«fresh» about it. They certainly should not be using this word when they intend on using a syrup flavor(and not enough of it anyway). As I was waiting, I watched several customers, who ordered before me, bring up issues with their food. One had the wrong burger, one was irritated that there was cheese on her order when she specifically asked for no cheese, and a third person who never received their burger. After about 15 minutes, one of the staff noticed that I was still waiting and rushed back to the kitchen. A few minutes later, he brought out my order and apologized for the wait(which was a nice gesture). He gave me a coupon for a free burger. I wasn’t upset about the wait, so it was all good. Once I returned back to my hotel, I was looking forward to enjoying a good burger. Unfortunately, the burger was not very good. The egg was very overcooked, the bacon was tasteless and the burger patty was a little under medium, almost rare — not to my liking. The bread was generic and had no taste to it. The fries were ok, but again, nothing special. This was a very disappointing experience. I will try to the California Burger Company place near the casinos where all the tourists seem to hang out next time.

One of the best burger joints I’ve ever been to. And they have vegan and vegetarian burgers. Must go!

Ordered at the counter. 10 orders. They counted all 10 orders to make sure they captured everything. They ring us up. We sit down. They bring 9 of the orders. I ask where mine is. They said we didn’t order it. 4 people who were at the counter can verify I ordered it. They said they will bring it. I wait 20 more minutes. They bring it and say I can pay for it after. No thanks. This is the worst service I’ve had in Tahoe. They lost the business of 10 lifetime customers. For a sandwich.

Always wanted to try this place. It’s a cute stop when out touring around Lake Tahoe. Cute setting, nice staff, decent food. We split a burger and fries and order of wings. The wings were really good. Lots of burger choices. We got plain fries. They needed a little seasoning. Looking forward to trying the pesto or garlic fries on the next visit.

Most of the food was pretty good. I wouldn’t suggest anything with bacon. It tastes as though it was cooked several days prior and then reheated to serve. It was really tough to bite through and ruined the blt and heavenly burger. The customer service is lacking. I asked the young man at the register to make two of my burgers combos and ordered two kids meals. Instead, I received 1 kids meal, one grilled cheers ala carte, three burgers and a small soda. When i pointed it out to the«server», she was incredibly snotty and pointed to her ticket and informed me that’s not what she had. While my burger got cold, I went back inside and asked the cashier if he remembered me ordering combos and 2 kids meal. He said yes. Then he stared at me. I showed him my receipt. He stared. I told him I needed the fries for the kids meal(which now made the kids meal a dollar more expensive since I had to do a half order and just an order of fries. No one apologized, no one cared. We will not be returning. The food simply wasn’t good enough for the price or lack of service.

We tried this place yesterday. The girl who took our order was friendly and polite. The food took less than 20 minutes to come out. Everything was good! We tried the Hangover Helper and the Heavenly and they were both delicious. We would definitely return!

Wish I could give them more. I wanted to like them, really I did! Young girl behind the counter was not very friendly to start, but older lady was super sweet and kept talking to baby, her attitude alone is why I’m not giving it a worse rating. I got the hangover helper, mostly because I was starving, my husband got the jiffy burger and we got baby a grilled cheese and we shared an order of the chili cheese fries. Sadly my burger was burnt on the outside and red raw on the inside, so I did not eat it :( At least the husband enjoyed his! Also just a tip.***if your excited about enjoying a nice cold brew with your beer just know that this place has does have a few beer selections, but they are cans only*** When we left at 3:30 in the afternoon on a sunday, no other patrons were in their and either other employees or friends of employees were sitting around and all were chatting, we felt uncomfortable like we were in the way and they would rather us not be there. Another tip** little to no seating on the inside, if going in the summer it would probably be much better with more room with their patio seating**

I stopped by the Burger Lounge on my way from Emerald Bay on may to the beach during my stay in South Lake Tahoe during my California road trip. Its looks like a small little cabin and its a fast food restaurant but with charm I would say. I liked it and think its not the place for fine dining but for a great vacation lunch wit great burger and fries this is the place I would recommend in South Lake Tahoe and for you that is on a California road trip I would almost say it’s a must in Lake Tahoe. Located pretty much in the wood surrounded by big trees and a great place outdoors where you can eat. A bit limited with parking but most of the guests seamed to solve that issue and one way or another anyway. I had the smoke burger which I can highly recommend. Not the absolutely best burger of my life but defiantly high standard and a great burger. I warmly recommend this place.

What keeps me coming back? Cheese fries and milkshakes! Their burgers are great, too, but for me it’s all about the perfect shoestring fries drenched in cheddar and milkshakes so thick and rich they’re basically a whole meal. And they have a great menu of flavors: Peanut butter chocolate malt? Yes please! The patio out back is the perfect place to sit and enjoy a decadent lunch when the weather is nice, and inside is cozy!

Although the I ordered the«Pollo pina»(chicken pineapple) and received the«la pina»(apparently burger and pineapple) it was pretty good. I’ll have to use my imagination for the pollo pina. My guy got«the Chooch»(no translation) a smothered hotdog that was lackluster at best. My expectations set the bar too high for the Burger Lounge to meet. Perhaps another time???

Burger Lounge was a great find with the Unilocal app on our family vacation! The whole fam was pretty hungry after doing quite a bit of climbing, hiking and sightseeing. I busted out my app and came across Burger Lounge, which wasn’t far from where we were located. We hightailed it over there and got in line — this place is pretty popular! The menu is filled with burgers, chicken sandwiches and salads, all with varied and interesting toppings and sauces. Once our orders were placed the wait for food wasn’t too long. There’s not a ton of seating on the patio but there are a bunch of picnic tables in the area behind the restaurant. My grilled chicken sandwich with mozzarella and pesto was good but could have used a little kick or something — not sure what, though. The pesto fries on the side were delicious. Go with the non-creamy pesto for sure. The whole crew was pleased overall with the meal and I would recommend it for a group.

Voted to have the best burgers in Lake Tahoe, I knew the burger beast in me had to give it a try. —The Food— Hangover Helper($ 7.25) — The name made me gravitate to this burger, but the contents were underwhelming, as well as the taste. It contains a ½ lb hand-formed patty, mayo, fresh lettuce, tomato, topped with bacon, cheddar cheese, and egg. Visibly, the burger looked perfect and could belong on a burger magazine. The char on the patty was beautiful, but was heavily under seasoned. The crispy bacon and yolky egg did little to help with that. At many points, I added more ketchup/mustard to compensate. The only positive thing I’d say is the size for they’re bigger than your average burger. Smokehouse($ 7.15) — At first glance, this burger seemed to lack the appeal of an enjoyable burger as it looked flat and boring, but was much tastier than the item above. It comes with a ½ lb patty, lettuce, tomato, bacon, cheddar, grilled onions, and homemade bbq sauce. The sauce is generously spread on the burger, masking the lightly seasoned patty, making each bite a pleasant mess. Fries($ 3.95) — The best thing on the menu. An order can easily be shared amongst two to three people. They were piping hot, crispy and fresh to the taste. —- Conclusion: 3.5 Stars. If Burger Lounge is the best in Lake Tahoe, I’m reluctant to try any other burger joints around the Lake. It’s not a terrible spot to indulge and will likely satisfy any famished hiker, but I left mildly disappointed and wanting more flavor. While I did admire the many and reasonably priced burger options, more focus should be directed in seasoning. Extra Notes: –Accepts credit card –Kind, suggestive service and pet-friendly –Décor indoors follows a cabin theme –Burgers take some time to be made –Inside and outside seating available –Parking can be crowded –Restrooms could be cleaner

Bring your big boy appetite! I always love a good burger and I definitely had one here! The smokehouse burger has bacon, cheddar, grilled onions, and barbecue sauce. This is not a burger you can eat delicately but really, any good burger isn’t! Expect sauce on your face, juice down your arm, and a full belly to be the result of consuming this delicious beast! You will enjoy every juicy bite. The best friend of this burger? It’s not french fries though the pesto fries were yummy. I always love a good milkshake with my burger. This milkshake was fantastic. I ordered a blackberry milkshake which has real, fresh blackberries muddled inside of it. Nice, rich, and plenty thick it was the perfect BFF for that bad boy burger. This little shack on the side of the road is small with only a handful of tables inside but when in Tahoe, get outside and enjoy the weather! There are double the amount of tables outside plus they all have huge umbrellas to protect my casper white skin from the sun while still allowing me the pleasure of enjoying the wonderful garden of flowers they have out front. In the back there are a handful of picnic tables shaded by the trees, another perfect place to eat. Overall, a fantastic burger experience and I will definitely be back again soon!

A beautiful day in South Lake and i’m craving a burger. Several spots popped up and this one had caught my eye when I drove past previously we went for this one. I drove the motorcycle up so I was a tad worried about the parking area as it looked quite crowded and people were parking on a dirt /bark area. Luckily we found a spot in the shade for both bikes on the paved lot area. The place was packed and the line was out the door. This worked well because it gave us time to read over the menu. I settled on the La Pina — a burger with a slice of pineapple for a bit of sweetness. We also decided to get two baskets of fries for the table — 1 pesto and 1 garlic. The line was long but they helped everyone quickly and the line moved fast. When we ordered the woman at the counter was quite patients as we were not fully settled and decided. After ordering I waited at the window for the drinks — including a freshly blended Blackberry milkshake. I took the drinks our table outside. We had plenty of seating options but it was a gorgeous day so we opted to dine outside. There were plenty of umbrellas providing shade. Had we wanted to sit inside there were several tables also. The inside tables were not well suited or groups our size, 4, or larger. A party of two perhaps would be well accommodated. Our food was delivered quickly despite the crowd. The burger was delicious — moist, flavorful and not greasy. The pineapple added the perfect crisp. The fries were outrageous — the garlic especially — covered in garlic oil and garlic chunks. Perfect for a garlic lover like myself. The pesto was nice but the garlic stole the show. Each of us enjoyed our burger choice and no fries were left at the end of the meal. We were stuffed, happy and ready to take our ride back home. This is a must stop in the area. Do not try any other burger spot. Eat here! Grab fries and a milkshake even if you aren’t hungry enough for a burger.

After spending the day at nearby Pope Beach, we decided on Burger Lounge for dinner. While the rest of our party was able to dine there, we took our food to go since the Little Guy and Little Gal were fast asleep. With such a long line, we called in our order. They told us it would be ready in about fifteen minutes. The Husband picked up the Peppermint milkshake($ 4.85 large) first. It was alright, not as pepperminty as I would have hoped for. I also didn’t see any peppermint bits in my white shake as I noted in Unilocaler photos, which may explain why mine was lacking.(We did hear raving reviews for the Nutella milkshake and the Passionfruit one.) The Husband ordered the Jiffy Burger($ 7.35). It’s the regular burger topped with cheddar, creamy chipotle mayo, and of course, peanut butter. He enjoys a good burger and his share of peanut butter, but this burger just wasn’t that spectacular for him. It was just too much peanut butter. I ordered the Alaskan Delight sandwich($ 7.65), which is a salmon burger with grilled onions and chipotle mayo. I also ordered the Bella sandwich($ 7.65), which had a portabella mushroom, creamy pesto, grilled onions, and mozzarella on it. After reading a few reviews, I was concerned with these burgers being dry. As a result, we requested more sauce. It would have been nice to know that we got charged fifty cents extra for each additional sauce. Our biggest pet peeve about these burgers was the bread to meat/fish/mushroom ratio. There is a lot of bread to these burgers making them initially look huge. But when you take a bite, you realize there’s an excessive amount of bread. Besides the bread issue, I thought my burgers were just okay. We also ordered the Pesto fries($ 4.50) and the Zucchini($ 5.25). The fries are a generous amount, and the pesto tasted yummy. However, there wasn’t enough pesto for the amount of fries. Looking at some of the pictures posted, we only had a fraction of the amount of pesto. So that was disappointing. Maybe I should have gone for creamy pesto instead. The zucchini was average, no flavor in the batter so using the dipping sauce is necessary. Overall, a 3 star food experience. We just weren’t blown away as we had hoped and expected. I’d be willing to return to check out their other milkshakes and maybe the pesto fries if they were a bit more heavy-handed with the pesto on my order. We’d skip ordering any burgers or sandwiches though.
